THEY ARE THE WORST
July 8, 2022

My apps got locked out just because I forgot my password. They had no resolution for me to reset my password for three weeks. I been trying on the phone with them for 3 weeks and none of them are even friendly enough to help the whole things or even stay on the line with me. All they did was putting me on hold one after other. Over and over and OVER. I even gave them my entire information including my Identity and still doesn't even help. The worse part is I have my own personal cellphone and of course, I texts daily and use it whenever I want and they said my cell phone number is invalid and can't get a Code from them. IT JUST ABSURD wasting my time like that! I am giving you one star because you can't do anything right. I MEAN. 3 WEEKS, COME THE $#*! ON! YOU ARE LETTING YOUR BRAIN ROTTEN AND NOT THINKING WHAT IT CAN DO TO HELP ONE OTHER MUCH EASIER THAN 3 Friggin WEEKs- EXCUSE MY LANGUAGE, THREE WEEKS IS ENOUGH TO PISS ME OFF. YALL BE SAFE!

I am closing my account asap. Because there is no physical location you will make deposits via your cellphone which is fine except they don't release your deposits for at least 24 hours. So - if it's Friday, like today, and your broke, but have a large check to deposit you will be broke until after the weekend. I called to cancel the deposit like 5 minutes after I made it so I could cash it another way and they said it's 'too late' - I called 5 minutes later? How is it too late? I spoke to a mgr who was not helpful at all. Do not use this bank - go to one with a physical location near you. You will spend tons paying at atms too.

I am over this company.

Cancelled card no warning, as they are getting out of Canada, same high interest rate with zero benefits. They won't let you transfer the balance to another card either. Customer service is terrible if you ask a question they don't know the answer to they pretend they cant hear you and hang up. They will report missed payments that are actually paid and force the run around on you to get to fix your credit yourself. Stick to Canadian banks American banks are pure $#*! and don't seem to follow our laws.

They like to take more money out than what you have signed up for for autopay. I pay 133 every month then randomly charged 825 and they could not give me to reason why and told me they couldn't give my money back and that I had to call my bank.

Budget car rental charged my capital one credit card for gas when I had a receipt to prove that I had brought the car back with more gas than it left with. Long story short capital one allowed them to put false charges on my card and did nothing about it.

Pay my bills. Had to get new card due to fraud. Once I confirmed the new card arrived, I called in to inquire about the pin. Capitalone customer service told me I should receive my pin# a few days after i receive my new card. So i waited. At that time, I Was not informed I had pay the $10.81 service charge which was all that was owed in my account at the time I had called in to inquire about my pin#. I had no balance to my knowledge after paying my last bill in full but, they knew. About two months passed, I called in again and this time I was told the account had been locked due to my over due service charge balance of $10.81. They become smartie pants when u start asking questions. This is not the first time I had issues with Capitalone.

I've had my Credit One card for over three years, never been late, paid more than the minimum amount and had a zero balance several times and upon two occasions, have asked for a Credit Increase and was turned down, with a credit score over 710, income over 100k, debt ratio 15% and no mortgage payment as my home is paid for. The kicker is when I'd applied for the Savour card after being pre-approved and was turned down! I'm now getting ready to send them their measly $500 credit card back to them.

They used to be great - now they are tyrants and restrict your card for no reason. My card was locked 2 times in 24 hours for "suspicious activity". Capital One could not provide a legitimate answer as to what charges were "suspicious". I had to electronically submit a copy of my driver's license to an app the sent a link to use. After doing so they locked my card again the following day and then requested I send my social security card electronically. When I refused due to fear of potential identity theft, I was informed that my account would stay in "permanent restricted status" until I provided my Social Security Card. The only acceptable activities are to make payments or close my account and they would retain my cash back awards balance. Their policy makes it extremely difficult to be a customer. So many cards out there with better cash back programs and customer service. Time to end my 20+ year relationship with Capital One!

Back in February I requested a secured (i. E requires a $49 dollar security deposit) credit card for my daughter. Capital One issued the card but when we tried to activate the card with them (in three different ways: online, by postal mailing documents, or by uploading documents) none of the activation approaches worked so activation was not made and we simply requested to have the account closed and for Capital One to simply refund our $49 back. They had all the information required to issue the refund but they simply have not done so to date (June 29,2022). We had called countless times the Fraud Protection department, every time we call we get the run around, last time I called I got transferred from one agent to another five times! But no one will do what they should have done a long time ago: Issue a refund check. This is simply the worst customer service I have ever encountered, Capital One deserves a negative 5 stars rating. Now they are asking my daughter to upload a copy of her drivers license, they sent a link for the upload, everytime we use the upload link we get the same error: "We are unable to upload your documents at this time. Please try your request again later. (Ref. *******. *******)". Their systems are junk.

As much as the card advertise less spam, or better features. Still feels spammy and same or worse in terms of features compared to other credit cards. Even if you have high credit score of +790. Getting your credit limit increase is a pain and they brush you off. Despite having good credit score, loyal for years, or always paying on time. Capital one card is a low performance credit card.

I wouldn't even give them one star they are the worst customer service on the planet some Indian guy who was making me mad don't know what he was doing saying there holding my pay for 8 days so I asked is this ransom he said yes sir until your bank verifys your payment as soon as my credit goes back up and I pay this debt off and get approved to another credit card I'm done with capital one I been with them 3 years den they started treating me like crap

VERY UPSET

I opened a checking account a few days ago and I was told It was active and everything was ok by a representative on the phone today. I checked my email tonight and I was sent an email at 8 pm saying my account is restricted because I didn't send a picture of my ID. I wasn't even asked to do so. I wasn't told my account would get restricted. I am very upset. This being said they don't have any physical office where I can talk to someone. I want to be able to go to a bank in person! They wont let me send an email which a picture of my ID which means I have to take a picture and make sure it's not blurry, etc and wait two days for them to confirm my account. This is really annoying and absolutely upsetting!.

Late Fees

Paid on the due date. Paid more than the amount due. They have an 8:00 pm cut off time for online payments. I was about an hour late. Called right away after making my online payment. Customer service rep said I would have to call back after the late charge posted to my account. I called back, and they wouldn't waive the late fee! Ridiculous. I paid on the due date! I called right away. If you are not going to waive the late fee than please tell me upfront. What a waste of time. NEVER get a credit card with these people. They will keep you in debt forever,

I earn over $650k yearly, I've had a Captial one credit card for 15 years wit a $2000 credit limit, my credit score is between 790 and 812. I have 2 Amex cards with $21k limit, and one with $23k limit, Boa with a $21k limit, Citibank with $21k limit, overall $218k in credit limit. However, whenever I ask capital for a limit increase they deny me. So finally I said go to hell $#*!s and closed the account. What a totally disconnected $#*!s running the $#*! show there. I opted to close the account. They're the worst company ever.

They have a bunch of indian customer service who barely speaks ANY english, and keeps transfering the call to another department if they can't deal with your issue. I was transfered in a huge circle, from Capital One to Hudson Bay, then back to Capital One, and then somehow to Neo Financials. Lol Not using any of these three providers in the future. Do not recommend.

They should receive NO STAR at all!
Open a new checking account and make deposit. After check cleared from issuing bank and when I need to use my money... I found out the fund been hold and NO withdraw or transfer. Make many phone calls and all end up with recording: We will contact you within 48 hours ( Never happen!) Finally transfer 3 different department and talk to a real person but the answer is my account is under investigation with unknown reason and unknown time frame to clear what ever their investigation -- it is a month already.
File complain to BBB and wait for answer now.

Suggestion: find a real bank you can walk in ask question and talk to a real person.
