Paid my full balance 3 weeks before it was due to allow me to leverage my credit with them, one week later and the payment still hadn't posted. In the meantime, the card was declined several times (embarrassingly) as I had assumed given they took the money out of my checking account immediately that they would credit the payment and apply it to available credit. But, NOPE... according to them, it takes "as long as it takes" for the payment to post (even though the email confirmation said payments post within 1-2 days, which is still longer than most credit cards where payments post immediately). When I inquired further, they said it's "random" when the payment posts. What kinds of scam are these guys running? They've had my money for over a week, but "randomly" decided when to post it. Stay away! There are far too many legit options out there to settle for this BS.

I had a card account for years. I paid high interest on the balance until 1 day I had the money to pay off the card. I clicked on pay off card and submitted the payment amount shown. Well the next month I get billed for interest on the few weeks of billing cycle that the card wasn't paid off. I called to see if they would wave the fee since I had paid years of interest and had this card for a decade They absolutely would not wave the interest even though they had robbed me on interest for years. I would like to note my visa and Amazon didn't charge me back interest. My PayPal did charge but when I called them they waved the additional interest since I was a long time customer. I guess Cap really doesn't care about their customers. Customer service is terrible. I had to go thru 3 reps because I could not understand them. Finally asked for a supervisor and yay could understand her but she was not help and even though she was polite didn't give a crap about me. Bye bye I will never use the card again

If i could give 0 starts i would. Horrible horrible horrible. I requested a new card over 3 weeks ago SPECIFICALLY for this week/weekend as I have wedding appointments and expenses. After 6 biz days-no card-i called and got "im sorry, idk what happened but it never mailed, no worries we will mail today"... 6 biz days later-no card-i call again and get "wow idk what happened, i see you made the request 2x, but it never got in the mail, let me send it out today". 6 biz days later-no card- i call and am on phone for 53 minutes and all i get is "im sorry but it just got mailed this morning". HOW?! I specifically needed this card for this week and now i wont have it until next week (allegedly). I have no faith i will ever receive this card. And even if i do, its TOO LATE. If you are looking for a credit card company to trust, RUN RUN RUN. Do not use capital one unless you want a customer service nightmare. HOW HORRIBLE can you be to not put a card in the mailbox THREE DIFFERENT TIMES?! Is it really that difficult of a job? And to top it off-nothing has been offered to me. Nothing has been offered to me to keep me as a client or to keep me happy. No rewards/points/etc. All i keep getting is "oops sorry". Keep your apologies because they do not help me or my wedding week at all. I HATE THIS COMPANY. And i will continue writing truthful reviews until i am given the proper attention and customer service.

I made my payment 6 minutes after 5:00 and Capital One being in a different time zone deemed my payment as late therefore they dinged my account with a late fee which changed my credit score and dropped it because of 6 minutes after 5:00 my time. I attempted to contact Capital One and ask them to remove the late fee considering 5:00 is when I am off so 5:00 is when I got paid and that is when I made the payment however they are advising their system will not allow it even though they're representative wherever they were from had insisted there would not be a late fee as a result of being passed the time by 6 minutes.

I finished paying my credit card, and the company refused sending me a copy of my pay out and refused to close the account o the excuse
That they want to verify my identity with me sending a picture of my passport. Never heard of that before and I refused to send a picture of my passport

Worst thing I've ever done was going through capital one. If you try to cancel the card they literally have up to 90 days to pay you back your money they take your money out of your account apply it to your credit card statement and then wait a week for the money to be available to your credit line again do not get this card or use capital one... Disgraceful

After approved charge by phone they blocked the card for fraud protection then they want me to upload my id witch I did multiple times however they can not approved upload pichtur quality and there's no other way to unlock card

Paid my balance in full then was sent a bill for interest. When no one told me I would get another charge after account was paid off. Set on hold for 30 min and was told by rep and senior leadership they couldn't help.

Horrible service, make you jump through hoops, powerless to make any changes to your account over the phone. The bank has massive fees including "maitenence fees" and overdraft fees, complete waste of you and your business's time.

I disputed a charge from an airline that charged me a "change fee" for a connecting flight where the first flight was late. I provided all the documentation to support the fact that the airline acknowledged the flight was late and their airline's policy on the support they provide when a connecting flight is missed. Even though they had the required evidence, CapitalOne refused to help. Terrible customer service and you will not get their support when you need it most.

I have reached out several times about this issue of Capital One continuing to charge interest on an account that is closed. I have not made any new purchases because ITS closed. I've always paid on time, except ONE time, the late fee applied, and interest jacked up my balance tremedously. It is hard catching up! No where on their statement says they continue to charge interest.

I purchased a pair of earrings from Edward Novell jewelry. They were $400. I never received them. They were on my capital one card. I tried to stop payment on them but capital one ended up paying the jewelry store. They do not care about their customers!

After being a loyal customer for over a decade I FINALLY asked if they could assist with my interest rate as I worked to get this card paid off- I USED to like Cap1 but I will NO LONGER REFER ANYONE TO them! I was told that there was NOTHING that could be done and they only offered me information that I already knew. From this day forward I WILL NOT REFER ANYONE & I STRONGLY URGE consumers to look elsewhere when "shopping" for a credit card- the INTEREST RATE IS RIDICULOUS & once I pay it off THIS TIME I WILL NOT USE THIS CARD/COMPANY EVER AGAIN! They want you to refer a friend and send cute emails about lowering your car payment... and oh "you deserve it" while offering you nothing when you need them most. What a PITY!

First, I would like to explain why I'm writing this review! I applied for a Capital One Quicksilver card, I did not need no proof of identification for the approval of the application! Received the card in the mail used it, just recently tried to get online to get into my account! It wouldn't let me in, so I called customer service like the app told me to! Then he proceeds to tell me that in order to change my phone number that's on the account I'm going to have to send in verification which is an identification picture identification! I've been proceeded to tell the customer service representative that it did not make any sense I needed a ID for verification for them to change my number! However, I needed a ID to get back into my account after the money is already spent on the credit card! Makes no sense at all whatsoever, he dismissed my comment about four times! Extremely unprofessional, this is ridiculous! Anybody could have opened a Capital One Quicksilver in my name, after he said that... I said well anybody could use my credit to get a credit card without identification to prove it was me! In conclusion, I cannot get into my account online and have to send verification over a text message! I do agree that they have ridiculous charges if you don't pay your amount on time! I'm confused at how my credit limit was started at 300! Now the balance is close to 500 not even 2 months overdue!

I'm penalized and my account is restricted for paying my account? I logged onto find my account is restricted when I called Capital One told me there was possible fraud on my account and were questioning my payments. Without asking the agent called my bank told them I was on the line and wanted to verify funds? My bank refused and I was saying why are you verifying a payment that's been paid. I have not given you a bad check who cares how many times I pay my card. She would not transfer me to another agent or supervisor. I guess they want customers that don't pay or they like to hit you with charges so it's a hoax of a credit card.

This card sucks. I've had it for several years, along with other credit cards. It is paid off at present, 0 balance, but I have a miserable $300 credit line with them. I've asked for an increase, to no avail, and if I apply for any card associated with Capital One, I'm declined. I have paid off all but two of my other credit cards and have never had a problem with any of them when asking for an increase or they will offer me one. What's up with these crooks? I guess I'll just cancel it and make more room in my wallet.

If I could leave no stars I would! This is by far the worst credit card company I have ever had. I was late on one payment they harassed me from 7:00 am right up till 11:00 pm at night with over 10 phone calls a day on various local numbers never leaving a message yet filling up my mailbox daily.

Checked my credit today the have dropped it down over 100 points due to one missed payment thanks to this comany who i have been paying in full on time since 2017, cant wait to cancel my card threw them.
