Horrible

Horrible, horrible, horrible. I helped a friend open a bank account. We needed to add me as a joint account holder. She literally spent hours and hours on the phone with them while trying to send a picture of her driver's license to them. They definitely have a problem with their software in their verification Department. I know this because I tried to add my husband as a joint account holder to an account I had opened a few days before. Same exact thing happen. The guys in the account verification Department kept blaming this on my friend' s phone etc. The The guy in the verification Department even hung up on her after about an hour. Anyhow she was never able to become verified. She was even asked for a green card. FYI: an American citizen her whole life. This bank is also very odd in that you cannot contact them or email them through your account. Most other Banks I can think of this is definitely an option. Awesomeness of their customer service reps are foreigners and very hard to understand. I think I will pull the money I put in Cap one as well

I got my Capital One card two months ago I paid my bill in full before I even got a statement the first month they took the money out of my account and they said they were going to hold it for 7 days to make sure the money was there on their app they stayed everyone except people that mail and their payment will have access to their funds the next business day. The next month my second and last month with him when I complained that they already had the money out of my account why were they holding it for 7 Days claiming they want to make sure they got their money when they already had it then they told me 8 days. If that's how they do business do you really want to do financial business with somebody like this 2 months I'm going to cut up my card they are so dishonest your customer service is rude and they basically lie to you they say they're going to hold your money and to make sure they've got it when they've already got it I don't know if they're collecting interest on it or what but it went out of my bank account yesterday and they're going to hold it for eight days to make sure that it's there when they've already got it how does that even make sense. That race you there should tell you the morals and character this business has plus they're charging 29% interest making that kind of money off their customers you would think they would treat them a little bit better I can't tell you strongly enough stay as far away from this company as you can two months and I'll be cutting up my car that should tell you something

Scam

They promised me a sign up bonus so I got this card, and spent the amount they requested and not they refuse to give me the bonus saying that I didn't qualify. This is what scam artists do. I am so disgusted by this bank and canceled my credit card immediately. You won't see a penny from this household

ATM broken. Tried to pay card at mobile van -they don't take payments. Inside they need my ID. Don't need my ID for atm payments. Wow. Inconvenient. Gonna try and pay off as soon as I cAn so you no longer make money off of me

I had no idea Capital One was so bad. I saw their 18month CD and thought the rate was good, so I attempted to open up an account. They asked to verify my account and I entered my phone number. They sent me a code and I verified it. I then tried to add an external account to transfer funds. No dice. Capital One claimed my phone number was not correct and that it didn't match my name and address. How would they know when I just opened up an account? I've had this phone number for TWENTY YEARS and this is the first time some online bank told me this wasn't the right number.

They told me I needed to talk to a customer service person. The Indian guy kept apologizing and switching me around to different people, saying it must be some technical glitch. He gives up and refers me to this other guy with a Southern accent. At that point, I said I'm closing this account.

This is by far the worst online bank. You can't even open a simple CD. I wonder if Capital One is using a fake CD to lure customers into giving them their personal information so they can send them junk mail.

I'm never, ever using this bank again.

HORRIBLE service

Loyal customer for over a decade... had earned quite a few rewards points, but never used them for travel until June 2022. Booked a room for one night using Capital One Rewards and it ended up being a total dump despite being charged $200+ worth of points. Roach in cabinet, door wouldn't lock from outside/was missing numbers on keypad, TV remote had no batteries, smelled smokey, cigarette butts in the room. Called hotel's emergency line... no one answered, so we left and booked another room at another hotel. After booking new hotel, called Capital One and they said we needed the hotel to grant refund in order to get points back. Hotel refused. After hours on the phone and weeks later, Capital One refunded me $50 worth of points. TRASH company and service! STAY AWAY. Too many better options out there

I've been a sparks card holder for years and the embarrassing way they have issued fraud alerts is un professional. On many occasions our company cards have been turned down and even with a phone call the issue cannot be resolved we never carry a balance for more than 20 days and have never missed a payment the reps blame the computer well if you wanna be embarrassing situation on a constant basis then you have the right card. We are moving our cards to another vendor we spend over a million a year and would rather live with 1.5 cash back than the customer service at Capitol one

In May, 2022 I recwived a text from the Capital One Fraud Dept that the two associate members had violated the Patriot Act and required immediate verification of identification by submission of sensitive personal informartion. I declined and closed the account. Capital One owes me a $206.52 credit balance and refuses to issue the refund until the fraud investigation is resolved. There's nothing left to resolve: the account's closed and so is the fraud investigation.My account remains "closed but resteicted." Go figure! Any lawyers out there?

Capital one bank

Worst internet bank in procedures. I bought CD on line find from my external bank saving account.
Capital one withdrew the fund within two days
And it took them 15 days to process it and show the CD was funded. No email or other wise informing or confirming any action. Way below my expectation and way below other internet banks standards.
Stay away from capital one

Stay away from Capital One credit card institution. They have the WORSE DISPUTE DEPARTMENT EVER. Their manager MICHAEL is the worse manager who will not help you with your case but do everything to get rid of your dispute/claim it does not matter how many proofs you will submit to the dispute department. Their dispute management does not know how to handle your dispute and you will end up wasting time and money. Their customers service operators are lost. They will put you on hold forever and will hang up on you.
Find another credit card institution.

I have had both th quick silver and menards card for over two years! Never late and always in good standing! I use online app and pay my bills through online never an issue! Well I get a letter in the mail to send a picture of my social security card and I'd to them or fax it in for verification! Is this a joke. Why would I put copies of my most personal information in the mail and who faxes anymore!
My account then got restricted.
Pull my credit report for verification ask past history questions like every other system. This is total bull jerky. You don't give a hoot about your customers

Worst customer service of all the financial companies I have to deal with in my life.

There was a problem with a title on a vehicle, the DMV mailed capital one instead of me. They just needed to mail the documents back to the DMV. After half a dozen phone calls with no response from managers and unanswered emails to help center I'm actually having my auto loan picked up by another company. Miserable customer service. I can't even get them to understand the problem. And have caught them lying to me about recieving the documents.

Take your business elsewhere. Plenty of companies would have given me the same interest rate. They aren't worth the headaches if something goes wrong.

I am not a person who normally writes reviews, however, I Wish I could give them Negative Stars! Their application process is unjustified and discriminatory. I am currently deployed in the Army and have very limited time. I applied for a Credit Card and received a denial letter stating insufficient income. When my income was over $20,000 the required as well as having a 775 Credit Score. I called to dispute there findings and while I was still on the line received a denial email again.

I called again to get some clarification on how my Dispute could have even been ethically looked at in that amount of time. I specifically talked with Shaun one of there Credit department Managers and he had no idea how decisions are processed... all he had to say is that the decision to not approve my application was made. Agreeing that the decision was made unjustifiably still said that it was the final decision.

Capital None!

I will never recommend this bank to anyone, their unjustified discrimination and unethical decision making is terrible!

I like the fact that i can link two accounts to my credit cards to make payments with. My Capital One cards both have a low limit but they redeem themselves by letting me pay as i go 2 or 3 times a month. Whats weird is sometimes a purchase will post yes⁸9⁹terday and be due today with tomorrow being late. I know its my fault but why is it i purchase something which posted yesterday with payment being due today and it being late tomorrow?

So ive been apart of this crappy company since 2017. Today i called my card after i paid 337.00 and it stated it posted but multiple of thee agents are complete incompetent bad people. Because of their mistake my card got restricted. I dislike employess that dont know rheir information. In other words I closed my account and said screw it their are better companies out there. To thee rest of the world capital one is a bad credit card company. Do not ever apply to them. The rob you for your money. Have a great day. I would rate them negative 1000% all they did was give me a freaking headache.

Cap 1 customer service is incompetent & racist. Even the supervisors. I've been a customer for 6 years. I have never missed a payment or never been late. But they have on my account history that i bounced one of my payment. They refuse to correct the error and where very rude and insulting
