After years of loyalty, they will lower your credit limit 66%. I have excellent FICO>797 never late on payments, always pay in full and still they betray you. Not using any of the cards I have with them anymore, neither is any member of my family. Please look somewhere else, this "bank" will disappoint you.

I Tried to call customer service about my account. The automated system tells you to type in digits but it cant understand them. After saying customer service 25 times I got a woman with a thick indian accent who talked and talked but never listened and then ASSUMED I wanted to cancel my payment. WHAT? Then when I yelled NO! She said mam there is really no need to yell. And kept on talking. NEVER understanding what I was saying because she likes the sound of her own voice so much I ended up hanging up while she was still talking! OMG This is horrible and I will never use this card again!

After fraudulent charges appeared on my account I did the right thing and called to report that someone was using my business credit card number. It apparently takes 7-10 business days AFTER you submit your driver's license for them to even LOOK at the ID and approve it. If it were up to me, I'd definitely go with a different card provider as the CUSTOMER SERVICE is terrible in trying to resolve fraud issues.

The only reason why I still use their credit card after 4 years of headaches is because they offer 0 transactions fee for international charges. But at the same time I constantly worry about my money with them. Their dispute system is terrible. If there's an incorrect or unrecognized charge or the merchant doesn't refund you, good luck with that. Most likely you loose your money because they make you resolve the problem yourself. I've lost money a couple times with them. So far it's been $500 for 2 cases. Their representatives are useless and give wrong information all the times like who the heck hire incompetent people working with peoples money? They don't protect you and your money, they just want you in debt with them.

When my credit score was 508, it was Capital One that took a chance on me and sent me a pre-approved credit card based on the fact that I had my pay directly deposited into my checking account. With the daily information that they provided me on my account and checking for other cards I was preapproved for---well let just say that after twelve months of due diligence and on-time payments, my credit score today is 715 across the board... in one year. The only complaint that I have against Capital One is they don't have a feedback email, or I would thank them that way.

Customer service? Not.

I had an ongoing dispute where capital one kept passing me off to the merchant. The merchant ultimately said I was right after untold number of contacts. Capital One's customer service said it was past sixty days and there was nothing they would do about it. This was after me going back and forth for five months. Capital One gave me contradictory information about the issue and lied to me on more than one occasion. Their customer service is the worst. While polite, they basically told me to f**k off.

Disappointed

Closed all my accounts with Capital One! Very poor customer service, it's all about money. Even if their the last ones, I will never bank with them again. Look around before going with them. I'm moving on with better, more reward credit cards.

Honesty one of the worst banks I've ever dealt with. Don't fall for any of their promotions. Something in the small print will always have you lose. Their reps are awful no one will or can help you. Save your frustrations. The false appeal of a benifit always will not be worth it in the end. Terrible company.

I couldn't use any kind of chat options when I needed to replace a card because of "issues on my account". I have hearing issues and they are even worse on phone calls. I think it was resolved. But I'm not sure because I had a hard time hearing/understanding the other person. What happens if you're legally deaf? Are they just sol? Why is there no option for chat?

Interest charges

I recently paid off my card and apparently I should have waited until interest charges were added to balance before paying off Balance. I don't think I should pay interest charges after I pay off a card. I won't be using this card for a very long time if at all. I don't like the way they do business. They better not charge my card again or I'll close the account.

Stole my Rebate

Bad policies of Capital One to have to call your personal bank to verify payment with you on the phone. WHY would they care what bank it comes from? If it is your banks fraud issue then they will refuse payment. Because I was not willing to schedule time to allow them to call my CU (during limited hours) they closed my account for fraud which is fine, but then they refused to send my $70 rebate for the purchase I had made. Absolutely do NOT recommend this shyster of a bank.

SCAM!

Capital One for two years keeps charging late fees for on time monthly payments blaming my bank for the processing mistake. $40.00 every time there is an issue, wont wave it. I have proof from my bank that there is no issue like having enough funds in the bank. Call to close the account and i m told that there is technical difficulties and cant close the account. Agent told me that she reported me to her superiors for foul language. She wouldn't tell me who these superiors are or if they even exist. Could not get "Corrine"GLH848 to help me at all.

Capital One is a bunch of sadistic scoundrels. The whole system is not a bank. This business was established to defraud clients out of their money. This is a piece of the KGB Putin's Mafia, which stole money from the Russian people to use here in the US to rip off Americans for even more money. Do not talk to Capital One, there is no help anyway. Stop supporting their 460 feet, eight decks yachts, submit a complaint to the US government, submit a complaint Office of Financial Regulation (OFR), submit a complaint to the FTC, and submit a complaint to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Do not be afraid. You have nothing to lose.

0% fraud protection is a fraud

Any out there looking for a good bank to conduct business with? Do not use capital one if looking for customer service, fraudulent purchase protection, straightforward or trustworthy. They are more worried about their high-end commercials and very well paid actors than their customers, who they hold you and your money at bay. Funniest thing, when you get sent to collections, the people are nice and English speaking so you can understand them, suddenly you are switched to thier fraud department and you cant understand the person which they wont give you a supervisor. They tape your conversation, but terminate the conversation if you record them. Capital one stands for everything i dont want. I got rid of all of thier cards including silver, walmart.com, cabelas, ect.

I like capital one credit and banking service opportunities but what I don't like about the services at any bank let alone this one. In contrast, when you do transactions at for example paying a bill it takes 3-7 business days for most of these transactions to go through. This makes me not like the banking system set up altogether. At this point, I do not want to use any banks anymore for any transactions. It is a depressing process every time. This is always a very slow process on transactions.
My feedback is that it is no excuse today in how much more technology we have on this planet to have to experience this slow transaction process today. Why do they say we can get deposits 2 days faster and yet a transaction of paying a bill takes 7-10 business days is ridiculous. Thankful I am leaving the fraud banking systems altogether

I lost my credit card. I contacted their office and was assured they would send me a new card with a new number. They additionally sent me a letter saying the new card was sent. Days later I received another letter saying I would have to fill out an information form which I was unable to understand or return from my computer. Every month I get a service fee for $5 even though I don't have the new card. I specified they should cancel my account if they were unable to send me the card. A 3rd bill just arrived... plus no card. They note on my bills that my new non-existent card ends in the numbers 7995. Stay away people, stay away.

If your thinking of opening. A account don't bother your better off with chase or Bank of America Citibank too. Capitol one has closed all there branches in north Jersey and then they charge you ridiculous fees for using other ATMs. They charged my daughter age 4 fees for not carrying a $2k balance even thou it clearly states it a custodial account almost $30 a month then refuse to reimburse her money. They seemed to farm out there phone help to India I guess there's no Americans willing to work for less than a living wage. Hey if your okay with all this enjoy but if not don't bother even opening a account because that gets all messy trying to change banks when there are direct deposits involved.
"CAPITOL ONE BANK, THE MOST INCONVENIENT BANK" that should be there slogan.

I don't understand why CapitalOne chooses a wrong time to report my balance. They do it well after the due date and they take into account any most recent transaction. So, they end up reporting either a 0.00 balance (which is seen as lack of revolving balance) or with a current balance (which is then interpreted as a debt) by credit agencies! Disgraceful!

Terrible bank

I used to recommend capital one to friends but recently they have tried taking money from me. Started with a dispute that was made 3 months ago and they're charging me for it now.
Also charged me a late fee on my credit card that i have had for 2 years and never missed a payment but they gave the money back after me paying for it and charged me $25 when they took money out my account! Wouldnt bank with these people again
