Unprofessional, uneducated and RUDE customer service! It seems its their first time speaking english when you talking to them! Confused staff! Every single one of them will give you tottaly different answer for same problem! WAIST OF TIME talking to them! I CANT DESCRIBE how MAD i am! DONT do bussiness with them! DONT MAKE THEM RICH! They should go OUT OF BUSSINES!
CapitalOne never helped me resolve my issues. Their customer service is also terrible. They never pick up and if they do they'll never help their customers. CapitalOne also never contacts their customers back, keep them on hold for a very long time, and if they do pick it up, they'll hang up afterwards. I have wasted many days trying to contact CapitalOne and at the end of every day, I never received any help. I'll be sure to tell my friends and family to NEVER use or create an account with CapitalOne EVER.
My Debit Card gets hacked, can't use my credit card that has been paid off for 4 days due to their security even though they hold my checking account, left me stranded, as a Disabled Veteran., I'll never use Capital One ever!
Trash $#*! credit card place I will never go through them once I cancel they $#*! out. I been with them a year and they have poor customer service. They management team is worse then the regular customer service team. I made a payment of 203.00 yesterday they decided to hold my funds for 7 days because my last payment did not go through for 0.03 literally. I'm stuck out of town can not get my rental car don't know how the $#*! I'm going to get around. I'm going to corporates with you guys. They holding my money that came fully out of my bank account i have screenshots to prove it with dates and time. The money is in my account they still chooses to hold my funds even after I told them my emergency. I'm so frustrated and will be canceling my account and going to a different company. I hate this rude $#*! place. They talk to you like trash they say sorry is it that's not fixing my issue they don't give a $#*! cause its not them. I could of gave my cash to someone else and made my payment later if i knew i was going to get ripped off. Capital one is a $#*! place to do business with. THE MONEY IS ALREADY OUT MY $#*!ING ACCOUNT AND THEY STILL HOLDING MY FUNDS IM STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF NO $#*!EN WHERE
Trying to get a replacement card is such a hassle. It's easier to say screw this one and just sign up for another one.
I recived the card. Went online to set up account. They wanted entire ss no, i do not put it online. Any other card only wants last 4 numbers. I cal cs it to 20 min. For her to finally close it after asking dozens of questions that had nothing to do with account
My husband and I have had an account with Capital one over 35years. I recently received a letter telling me that, not only would they be closing my account, but that they will send me a check for the balance left. Also if I wanted to continue banking with them, I would have to fill out an application for another account. We are puzzled, and never received prior word that they were "phasing out" our account, just that they were closing it. We have NEVER had an overdraft or any complaints concerning CapitalOne, but are completely surprised by this action. Sadly, we will be finding another bank.
I paid off my card to the tune of just over $10,000.00. I mistakenly paid it twice as I pay directly. I called in plenty of time to get a check for my over payment. I was given the run around and actually insulted for calling them repeatedly as I never got the same information twice. This was worse than dealing with the cable company. They must be treating their employees horribly or I was terribly unlucky. Either way I finally after around 10 calls to so called customer service got it resolved. Not all the agents were horrible but eight out of ten were. I had to damage my credit report as I had a 20 year good relationship with Cap One. Such a pity.
But the world is changing and we will see if they can continue like this. It won't be with my money, that is for sure. There are other cards that are happy to have your business. Cap One is obviously not one of them.
I opened a CD account with Capital One because they had a better rate than other banks. They had some technical issue at the time and I couldn't fund my CD. A couple days later they asked me to open a new CD so that I could fund that one because the first one would not be able to funded EVER. So I went ahead and follow their instructions. Since a few days had gone by, the rate had changed. They assured me that they would honor the old rate. Well it's been a month an a half since then and all I'm getting is excuses as to why this hasn't been resolved. It's extremely frustrating when customer service gives you the line as if they were a government agency. HELLO capital one! You're a private company and we have choices, if you don't fix your ways, we will go elsewhere!

I had problems signing in online because I forgot my log in, I informed them the number I put on file has been disconnected and needed to log on to change the number. They wouldn't help me reset my online login password. When online says to call and they would help with the situation. The lady said she was going to send a message to the number on file, after I told her my cell has been disconnected. I have a card and haven't used it, probably never will. They are no help. I am going a different direction.
An incredible cluster of an institution made worse by the fact that you really can't talk to ANYONE who knows ANYTHING
They have put a hold on my credit card (which has a spotless record and is paid in full every month) because of a misunderstanding they had with a different bank linked to my account
One month, 15 phone calls and emails and snail mails later, they still won't release the account. I really don't care about the card as I am about to cut it up anyways, but I want my ******* miles I have accrued. This seems like purposeful interference on their part, but good luck trying to find any recourse
I would STRONGLY caution anyone considering an account to not get involved with this gigantic mess of a company
Been with Capital 1 for many years and used Capital 1 credit card for all purchases. Been loyal with Capital 1, yet, a $59 annual fee couldn't be waived. I recognize that Capital 1 is a business and will make money - that is why, I exclusively use their credit card for all purchases. However, after all my business, if Capital 1 couldn't waive their annual fees, I need to look elsewhere to give my business to. As a frequent traveler, I can many offers, yet I stuck with Capital 1. Now, I will start looking at other options. Not sure if $59 is worth losing a loyal customer.
Dec. 2021-Present: I closed Walmart Acct "after requesting return codes" for orders incorrectly billed: Live Agent agreed to "return codes & credit acct---but closed account before issuing codes. CapitalOne agreed to provide "Purchase History & to ID Unauthorized Acct. Items". Given Case #, met every demand: CapOne "stonewalled, then attacked credit score (dropped 200+ points"). Reported to "Consumer Fraud: WhistleblowersAid.org" for relief (so can you).
My account is on auto-pay, I was charged $29 because my payment was $1 short. After speaking with Patricia senior account manager, Shaun ID XRD710, Diana, Eshe MGB611, not one individual would transfer the call to an individual with higher authority to make an executive decision. Note, I have stellar payments and have paid the card off twice and have not requested assistance during COVID. This is an absolutely disgrace that capital one has a policy in place to rape their customers. Currently, settlements should be a lesson learned, and the employees should feel abused to tell a consumer who keeps them working that they were short a $1 and I don't have options to remove a $29 fee because your autopay was short! This is Ludacris, just image they hire educated people and capital advertises "What's in your wallet", my answer " highway robbery ". I wish to be contacted *******501, I will provided account info.
Reviews will be negative zero. After being a LONG time customer. I will be closing all relationships with your cards. I have submitted all information that I had for a fraud. The merchant LIED and also refused to give me any confirmation for reservation via phone and nor did they give me a "receipt" for the room we were in for a few minutes. Literally walked in room-smoke detectors and fire alarm went off. The merchant refused us back to rooms when cleared of which they cancelled the fire alarm. Then said we didn't abide by their "cancellation" policy. How in the world can a cancellation take place when there was NONE? How can I provide a "receipt", when the manager refused to speak with us via phone the following day and the desk clerk told us to F-off. We waited hours and finally went to another hotel to find a room. Your company is a piece of work in cohorts with fraudulent transactions. I will definitely pay it to keep my credit good or what the heck, I may pay off to that point and leave the $250.00 ad a charge off. I don't care at this point. I've done all I know to do. Discover is a better card at any rate.
Worst customer service ever! All Indian or Pakistan customer service representatives that cannot speak English or even know how their own system works. I provided everything they asked for and nada! I will be switching card ASAP and will not pay the disputed charges (This has happened twice now!) Do not use this card or bank, they suck big time!
I financed my Tesla through capital one, so I thought to keep things simple I would use my cap one credit card for super charging. That was a huge mistake! They declined a supercharge and Tesla locked me out of super charging my car, I took me a day to get things squared away and several hours on the phone.
Well you think after all that they wouldn't make the same mistake twice. Well you would be mistaken. They declined me again and Tesla locked me out again. I asked for a manager to call me back last time but that didn't happen, highly unlikely I will get a call back this time ether………lesson learned don't use capital one when charging an Electric vehicle
Going to loose a long standing custom
I've been a loyal customer since 2009, but after my recent debacle with them, it's over. The customer service reps barely speak English and they're painfully useless; it's obvious they're "working" from home and very distracted. I've been hung up on during a call on more than one occasion and it's deliberate... God forbid you need an answer or solution to your problem. They'll pass you around like a hot potato and waste hours of your time if you allow it.
More than a month later, my repayment does not show up on my credit report. Moreover they give little or no cash back on purchases.
Answer: No really I can't I mean from the very beginning they said they mailed it and then a week later when I called and they had not mailed it yet when I checked my bank they take the money out of my bank and then tell me they're going to hold the money for 7 days to make sure the money is there I think they take the customers for granted in a big bad way
Answer: From my experience, they appear to be nothing but a shady scam bank.
Answer: They offered nice rewards back It sounded more impressive than it is. Big mistake.
Answer: This is the same issue I'm having with Capital One. They make mistakes and then drag their feet and act like nothing is wrong.
