As the country is continuously growing uncertain and banks or NOT trustworthy; capital one song with citi Bank is not reliable. How can we trust companies that hire third world country workers who don't even do what they "say" they will do. They are so unprofessional and literally 98% of the time I always have to call back over and over to get one simple thing done! They sound dreadful and are not helpful. This is ridiculous. I have to wait 40 minutes to a hour to speak to someone about MY account and MY money? To get things done the RIGHT way? I am so fed up with these banks making multi millions with OUR money and to not even have proper workers to help their customers? Absolutely disgusting customer service. SHAME ON THESE BIG BANKS! Do not trust them
My Capital One card has been hacked four times in one year. And none of my other cards has that ever happened and this time Capital One without notification is holding my card for fraud purposes. Wouldn't they want to talk to a customer and find out what happened or inform me that there is a problem. I called them sat on hold for 45 minutes just for them to tell me they had to transfer me again. I told them to cancel my account, I have no faith and Capital One any longer. I'm done!
I applied for a capital one secured credit card about three years ago, recently asked them to bump up my credit amount mind you I have made all my payments on time. And they responded that I have insufficient credit history.Thanks Capital One where is my $100.00 deposit?
I have two credit cards with capital one ( one was given by online trick, it seems I needed to update my account, but it was applications for another card). My building cycle is every 3rd and even I pay my statement in full, I still get interest charges ( 20% each month). I tried to let them know that their automatic service is " broken " that for $136 balance they can't charge $23 interest the month, but they still go round and never want to understand… if you are good on math never open credit account with them, it will hart your brain every month.
I think they will not go far with this strategy.
I made a payment prior to my due date as an additonal payment before my due date. My account was setup on auto pay. The date my minimum balance was do, I called to confirm that the payment was set to clear. The representative told me "yes, we have your payment that's set, no worries, you won't be charged a late fee. & payment will process.
My payment didn't process & I was charged a late fee which has now affected my credit score! I spoke to several supervisors & was told that there was no options to clear this late fee. Be ware! It seems like it was a way to get more money out of customers. I will not refer my family & friends to capital one & will close out this account!
I applied for a card and Capital One said all I need for approval was to verify my income. I did that but they declined anyway because I had a couple other cards. Very misleading process. I think it's because of the debt incurred promoting the 0% interest rate. Will never refer anyone as can't be trusted.
I dread when I have to call customer service for anything! They can barely speak English or understand simple questions! Not cool especially for a financial institution! I'm thinking of leaving!
Opened up a 3 year CD for $******* for my 88 year old mother. She wanted the interest to go in her checking. Capital one put it back in her CD! Called and they say they cannot change it.! It's there fault and they are Arrogant scum. Have to file complaints against this Evil company. Stay away from them! If they can do this to a elderly lady they can screw you also.
I attempted to find out why the refund I was informed that would be in my account was not, I ended up with a Senor Account Supervisor who I allowed to speak but when I tried to do so I was continually interupted. If it is your job to listen to your customers I don't understand how you can if you are continually interupting them. Mark who was the JA that was put on the phone would not identify the position of the person he worked for, and kept saying that he was the senior person there to speak with.
But when I asked for the name of the position of the person above him he said there wasn't one so I asked if he was the CEO but he responed by saying that CEO does not speak to customers on the phone. So Mark is NOT the CEO and there is NO ONE above him which in and of itself is contradiction since he is not the CEO there has to be someone above him but he would not divulge what the name of the position of the person who is above them?! This on top of continually interupting me shows that TOTAL lack of perfessionalism displayed by this moronic JA.
They are terrible don't know how to do there jobs and are so f***ing rude unbelievable don't understand how they think they can talk to people with so much attitude and disrespect you call about an issue and it doesn't even get dissolved or even get any respect towards it not getting resolved got told it's not there problem when my credit card is threw them!
Please avoid this fakking bast*rd bank. Biggest beggar of the USA. Never approach this fakking bank for an account or credit card.
Was credit card customer for over 15 years and had a dispute with a company that promised me a $258 refund - after jumping through hoops and mailing 9 separate disputes in with all the back up paperwork they said they only had some of the paperwork and denied the claims (guess they lost it internally?) sent everything in again but they denied my dispute and sided with the merchant. Lost hours on the phone arguing with them - you can't reach the dispute department directly so it was a minimum of 30-90 minutes on hold as I got transfered to different departments and many times got "disconnected" - barely could understand the representatives. I have cancelled all credit cards and bank accounts with Capital One and would not recommend using this company that has gone downhill in the last couple years.
I have a capital one Walmart card the problem I'm having is when I go to pay my bill online it ask to send me a text message or call me but it has my old phone number on file. I have called capital one many times and gave them my new number by the way this is a long process they ask you a lot of questions to make sure it's you. It works for two or three times then it goes back to the same thing asking to send you a code but my old phone number is still popping up when I have change it to my new number many times. I don't want to use this card anymore. Capital one/Walmart need to fix this problem how can you pay your bill if you can't login to your account.
Not a great idea to use these went shopping. Then to find out the card as be stopped completely. Always pay my bills on time so be cause not used it in a wile I get frozen stay away from them I am paying them off then going
The title is being nice. I have been doing business with Capital One for ONLY 2 months! Nothing but screw ups. 1st they INSIST on your checking account information... Not happening. Then they make it incredibly difficult to pay your bill without the checking account information. So I open a 360 checking account... LMAO You can't even deposit a money order without going INTO the branch 1 1/2 hrs away or mailing it! I have talked to ONE combatant person, and he works the credit card division. I found him after 2 hours on the phone just trying to PAY my credit card bill! Went to Walmart to pay per THEIR instructions. After I pay it, it does not post, I call in. Seems my credit card program does not include payments at Walmart, and they can't recover it. I'm just out 50 bucks! What! Supervisor please... Get the ONE person that knows what they are doing, fixes my payment and tells me EVERYTHING the other agent told me is untrue! LOL You can't make this stuff up! Seriously... If you value your time and money, stay the heck away from Capital One! They are a Capital Pain!

I had to file a dispute with a minor account that I had as a minor. A company had stated they issued a refund for a return that I had did but never received the refund and I later found out the refund was issued to someone who was not me(A different bank account I had not owned). The rep then advised me to dispute the transaction since the business refused to settle the issue. So I did as instructed. The dispute was then never handled because the business had provided receipts showing proof of refund but Capital One did not investigate the difference in account numbers that the business had provided and Capital One sided with the business. Capital had also allowed the business to charge my account multiple times without my permission even when I had asked for new cards so the company was allowed to charge the new cards without ever being provided the new cards and I had instructed Capital One that they did not have permission to charge the cards again.
When u apply for capital one, first they approved you. Then when u start creating online account before you recieve the actual card that they promised u. Then something weird happened. They just restricted your account out of nowhere. Eventhough u give them all the $#*! they asked, they will just locked the accounts automatically. Seriously capital one is really suck! They will just gets your hopes up for nothing. Why can you give the people's a chance to get to own a credit cards/ for the begginers/ for peoples that's building their credits/ or for those peoples that doesn't have a credit history yet! Or for those bad credits? Come on why do you guys keep doing that $#*! you're doing? Did you know by giving those applicants a hard time, it will look really bad on the reviews. Because think about it. You're only approving $300 and so much things to do before u even send the actual cards. Then one accidental mistakes for forgotten password or forgotten username or etc. then capital one is trying to be so strict for it.! Wow bravo please try to give everyone's a break!
I'm currently overseas and I need to change my flight. The problem is that I can't make calls and the only way you can get help is by, guess what, calling someone.
What a joke, I have AMEX as well and they offer customer support via chat with a real person. Terrible service.
Answer: No really I can't I mean from the very beginning they said they mailed it and then a week later when I called and they had not mailed it yet when I checked my bank they take the money out of my bank and then tell me they're going to hold the money for 7 days to make sure the money is there I think they take the customers for granted in a big bad way

Answer: This is the same issue I'm having with Capital One. They make mistakes and then drag their feet and act like nothing is wrong.
