Nobody ever calls back they don't care about anything but their bottom line. The worst card you could ever get they leave you in limbo. If you need help they ignore you, use anyone but these idiots.

I have 3 capital one credit cards. If you make a payment online for one card, and go to the next card, the balance and info for the other card shows. On one account, they charged me $40.00 because they said I was $4.28 short of the minimum payment on one card. Yet, I paid like $400 on another account. It was a simple error. The Senior Acct Manager I spoke to said "Oh sorry, he can't issue a waiver. He's the highest I'm going to get in terms of management." Capital One is publicly traded, and this is the response I get? Rather than being helpful this man was antagonizing and condescending. It's not acceptable. I don't recommend Capital one at all!

I put money in Capital One savings, but later I couldn't access my account. I called them from my house and they said they sent me a code (my house phone #) I told them I couldn't get a text on my house phone. I told them to send it to my cell phone, they said they couldn't send it to my cell because it wasn't on file. I had given them my name, Account#, SS #, and 2 other Capital One accounts. After 2 hours I got a code # on my cell phone, I told him I had the number, and he said read the message, I told him it was only a number, NO MESSAGE. I told him repeatedly NO MESSAGE, he insisted so I hung up. Now when I try to add my wife to my account, I CAN'T BECAUSE NONE OF MY PHONE NUMBERS ARE ON FILE.

They tell you to use them and pay in full every month. That's what I do and my score goes down every month. I wish I never got them...

Security issues
August 26, 2023

They $#*!ing wasted my time so much. They imposed unnecessary security restrictions on me to use my phone number in order to verify that I'm the owner while I'm overseas. There is no other way except verification on phone number. I'm overseas now and I cannot use my stupid card because I don't have my American local number. Why in hell would you force your clients to pay over $100 to their phone carrier?
I should have the choice not to.

Worst customer service ever!

Our Capital One accounts have been in excellent standing since 1997. Due to a recent ID theft, our only other credit card (department store) was compromised and our $23 payment was reported as delinquent by 30 days. We immediately reported the ID theft to all credit reporting agencies. Unfortunately, due to this one incident, Capital One immediately decreased both of our credit limits from $50,000 to $2,000 on each card! We have never been late on any payments and our credit scores have been between 848 and 850. Since Capital One makes it difficult to connect to someone to explain our situation, we have decided to close our accounts and sever ties with Capital One. Our families have convinced us to switch to Chase and Wells Fargo as they have had no issues with these companies.

Choose wisely
August 25, 2023

The APR is crazy and if you fall behind or late, they will charge a crazy fee and put it on your report immediately. They will not work out any payments and I had some staff member put my credit card status on a public arena. Paid them off and will never go back. Choose a different card to build up your credit.

Quicksilver One Credit Card
As a new customer using this account I was in love with it because I was able to earn cash back in every purchase. Within the first month of having the QSCC I made almost $30 in cash back. I would charge the card then pay it back by the end of the day or whenever I see a balance post to my account! However Capital One decided to place a 26 day hold on my payments towards the account because they claim I am making to many payments in a short time frame when I'm only paying back once I see a balance post on my account. As a customer to not be able to now use my card for 26 days and hold my payments on the account is outrageous. As a customer being penalized for using the card what it is made for and then being told I can not use the card or have a payment post for 30 days is unacceptable. Now within that time frame when Capital Reports my balance to the credit bureau it will look like I have paid my account because of a hold when I have not abused the card or account in any shape. This is unacceptable and I will no longer recommend Capital One going forward.

Capitol one sucks
August 24, 2023

I wouldn't even even then a star. I tried to pay them 8+ times, plus all money to my 360 account 3+ times, then do 2+ 3way calls with bank corp bank plus capital one all to have my accounts closed for no reason, more of my money kept from me. One and only excuse capital one would give me is I am high risk, yet they give me a $1,000 credit card limit, plus open a 360 ACCOUNT. Anyways whoever should for no reason do any Business with these clowns

I applied for a new card with them but was declined for a fraudulent reason, Now I have an inquiry from them on my credit report for two years. I have an 800+ credit score and a near zero loan-to-balance ratio, with sufficient income. Their BS "reason" in their rejection letter was "Based on your application information, there is a currently pending or recently processed application with Capital One". This is a complete fabrication. I have no other pending applications and it's been quite some time since I applied with them in the past.

I have since closed my OLD remaining account with them and I will never use these lying scamming ripoff artists ever again. Second time IU had a problem with these scammer criminals. Never again.

Almost lost my homeowners insurance because they did not deliver a bill pay check. Took over 11 business days THEN they wanted me to wait UP TO another 10 business days to get a provisional credit back to my account. Bank locally this is paramount to theft.

I have had their app on my phone for ages and have used it. Today, when I want to use it, they FORCE me to update. So I take the time to update. But the update doesn't take effect immediately or soon. Instead, I get a message saying the install will occur "soon". Not soon enough. If they would let me proceed using the old app, that would be fine, but no. I am effectively locked out from depositing the check. Real software engineers are all dead. Capital One is LAME.

Horrible organization.
August 21, 2023

I am current on my bill at this time. I had a true disaster at my home, which was very expensive to fix and had to be fixed immediately. I did miss one or two payments, which should have been understandable. But, I quickly caught up and paid more than the required late payment amount. The reaction from CapitalOne was to reduce my credit limit. It is all about the $$$, without the least concern for their customers' emergency situations. Apparently, they were the same way during Covid, but I do not have first hand knowledge of this so cannot say for certain. I could have received incorrect information, but I doubt it. No concern at all for the human being who holds the card. I never even applied for the card. Should have refused it.

Robbers and Crooks
August 21, 2023

I wish I could give a zero. This is one of the worst financial institutions that have hiked their interest rates sky high robbing customers of their hard-earned money. I have the Walmart Credit Card that they took over and I can see why Walmart is suing them and searching for another institution to carry their card. They are blocking Walmart from making money because they steal all the money in interest rate charges. I hope Walmart will hurry and switch over. They are stealing money from customers to recoup all the money they lost in lawsuits. "Robbing from Peter to pay Paul". Scumbags and hope they get another lawsuit and shut them down!

I have called costumer service 4 times trying to get a new card before my card expired. After a new card never came, I discovered that they had my new mailing address wrong in the computer. When you call in and give your information, be sure to speak and spell EVERYTHING. I paid off the card and cancelled it. I get card with a customer service company in the states.
