Don't use them!
April 16, 2023

This is a crookish company probably run by china Chinese who cheat people on shipping. Terrible service and not like how the Japanese or any reputable company that does business.

Terrible customer services especially for international shipping! They charge a lot for shipping fee, also split one package to two package without informing to me. The. They want to charge me 2 times for shipping fees. When I ask them to verify the packages, they refused for helping. Buyee 's services don't like topical Japanese companies' services, but really like some Chinese guys doing scams!

I really don't understand why/how buyee.jp can be this careless, I'm pretty sure they understand that international buyers are on a time limit when purchasing items through their service.
It's been very up and down with them when ordering this year, sometimes their quick and buy an item from Mercari right away other times their slow as snails.

The shipping fees are quite insane. I usually buy kpop merch and photocards on here and it's usually okay for the most part. There are cheaper proxies out there and I'm planning to drop Buyee as I already gave them too much money considering they are not a good company. So I received a package with 26 orders and one of the orders was wrong... I bought Blackpink oreos and they gave me two japanese Pokemon booster packs, which are expensive btw... that costs $80-100 for one pack and they gave me two... Idk who ordered it but I felt bad and wrong for keeping it so I emailed Buyee.

Then they looked into it and was like "Well you have a lite plan, there's no refund". Something along those lines, so please be wary of these shady characters at Buyee lol. They just want your money and won't fix your issues.

Item arrived broken. It was not prior to be shipped. I opened a claim but customer service refused to refund as they mentioned they can't confirme damages were caused by the shipping process.
Useless insurance, also they claim that "Buyee checks whether the product purchased by the customer can be shipped internationally when it arrives at the warehouse", they clearly didn't as item was poorly protected. If you use Buyee, don't pay for their plan, any payment to them will be lost.

Avoid at all costs on Buyee
January 19, 2023

Purchased A Vinyl Record on Buyee costs ¥560. Add all costs to the item... Wala! ¥3961! If you don't know what buyee going to charge you, such you can hardly navigate in their system to figure out, i suggest you go elsewhere and buy from other platforms.

¥3961 is shipping to Japan, from Japan! How ridiculous... Don't ever think of shipping out to your country.

And that's not all. I selected ECMS shipment as one of their options to my country, (cheapest available option) biting the bullet as they held your item as a hostage, (if you don't know by now, you pay for the item you got plus fees of admin before truly figuring out what other costs they slap on you shipping out to you) and paid for the exorbitant fees mentioned above, they wrote in few days later to tell me my item ECMS don't ship. And they started charging storage fees of ¥100 per day of my item sitting in their warehouse! They claimed they refunded me the ECMS fees and requested me to reselect other carriers. The refund didn't reach me until 4 days later and i was slapped with the storage fees during this time. Moreover, their other carriers charges ridiculous fees. In total, it would have costs me ¥4500 to get my ¥560 item. If i were to forgo my ¥560 paid item with the initial paid fees of ¥500 admin charge, i need to pay another ¥800 disposal fees plus the storage fees without getting my item.

And dont think you can runaway, they have a charge on your card way beforehand.

I emailed them regarding their incompetencies and the non shipment is no fault of mine, and if you are in the same plight as me, forget it, they are as rigid as usual - their way or the highway.

Save your pennies, daylight robbery still exists in this modern time and age. Absolutely Absurd.

Beware - Exorbitant Fees
January 15, 2023

Their site was down and I was unaware my shipping payment didnt go through

Happened to check and it had racked up storage fees and was now going to cost me $70 to ship an item worth less than the shipping.

No emails or reminders that my order is in limbo and I get punished? Dude never again.

Bull$#*!
December 27, 2022

Its a total scam. I tried to buy a pair of boots listed for $3, which somehow turned into $10, and then they wanted me to pay over $50 for shipping. Even though I bought a plan package that allows returns, they didn't let me do returns and I had to pay another $7 to cancel the order. Bull$#*!.

I would like to start out by saying that if you need an item that might sell out very fast, then buy from Janbox (which is the only similar type of service for Mercari purchases), because they are really great (great customer service, and very fast, and all around great), because they will order your Mercari item very quick, within just a few minutes. Buyee on the other hand, can take many hours to purchase your Mercari item for you (after you have paid for it), in which time, the item might sell to someone else in the meantime. I have lost out on a few items that I really wanted, due to buyee being so slow about ordering them for me. Janbox is super fast though, when it comes to Mercari, and the money can be charged to your paypal account at the time of ordering. The warehouse employees at Buyee are not very good, and not very bright, or maybe just completely uncaring, so I highly recommend that if you order from Buyee, through a Yahoo auction win for example, to choose the Light (Zero fee) plan, which does not come with insurance, or just the Insured Only plan, which does, but with those 2 options, the warehouse will NOT open or repackage your items, which is a good thing, in my opinion. If it is a very expensive item, then you should look for a much better Proxy Buying service (Maybe Zenmarket for example, though I have never used their service). Anyways, overall, I have been very happy with Buyee for the most part, other then the few items that I missed due to choosing them (instead of Janbox) to buy a Mercari item for me. Buyee is very fast at getting the item shipped though, just so you use either the Light Plan, or the Insured Only plan. If you use the Inspection plan, then it will be slower, and the package might be heavier after they repackage it, for safety during transit. On the plus side, they are willing to downsize your items, so that the shipping costs will be cheaper.

Shipping from a foreign country is always expensive, and you'd better wise up than to complain online, as they say. Well not like this.

Accusations of Buyee about overcharging has saw its roots since a few years ago and I got to experience it myself. I have recorded the weight of my items before consolidating (2350g) but afterwards they inflated the weight to 3020g so they get to charge more. Paid for consolidation and expecting them to remove the item then repack into a big box? No can do. Damn thieves.

Also just for reference for those wanting to know how long does it take for their consolidation to be made, consolidation request was made at 0029 PST, and they finish packing at 1600 PST.

But then again, considering how complaints of Buyee's services circulated the web for so long, people who wanted to use them will use them anyway despite their shadiness, and there is no lack of influencers and creators on YouTube who will sing praises of them, if not being neutral like a certain English Gunpla Tuber from Korea.

Remember kids, always exercise caution before using this conman of a service that despite being established for so long, still acts like an individual running the company, collecting exorbitant local shipping fees and expecting you to pay them even if you want to discard the item.

No delivery and no refund
November 14, 2022

Support stated on their email that "I had to pick my item up from the customs" which is a lie, the item gets brought to your address by your local post office or you have to pick it up from the post office if they can't find you. And they aren't giving a refund for either the shipping cost or the item cost either. And I have no way to get my item now. Buyee is a service that scams overseas customers.

Subject: Re: [*******-2]Re :[ Buyee] About Shopping

I refer to your email.
Yes, I DO understand that orders, when placed, cannot be cancelled.
Please stop telling me that orders once placed, cannot be cancelled. I know.

However, as I wrote many times, we are dealing with a different issue here.
You missed the main point, the primary issue and the root cause.
It is one thing that orders placed cannot be cancelled.,
But it is s different thing (separate issue) that the order placed CANNOT be fulfilled.
Please see the distinction.

I contacted the seller. The items i purchased are out of stock INDEFINITELY.
And the supplier / manufacturer too- they have run out of inventory,
Ended their production run and have no plans in the near future.
I appreciate that, finally, you bother to get your relevant department to verify this with the seller

Again, dismissing me off superficially and glossing over by mechanically telling me orders once placed cannot be cancelled (repeatedly in view of the many times I reached out to you) is frustrating and exasperating.

I seek your understand and listening ear as a customer service associate.
Please, please please seek to understand your customer concern first, rather than jump to the conclusion and rush to be understood!

And out of all my emails written, everyone except you, Coco,
Bothered to get your purchasing department to check with the seller.

Your other associates cannot even be bothered to exercise due diligence and care in this aspect.
Mechanically, they just copied and pasted your template script telling me orders placed cannot be cancelled. At best, could not be bothered to read each ticket. At worst, it appears to anyone whether BUYEE customer or potential customer a lack of responsibility and diligence.

You might be paid on the basis of the number of customer tickets closed. But I am sure your management would be shocked that when operationalized in the field and in the trenches, what the customer associates are doing end up backfired.

Instead of providing customer service, your customer service ends up doing a dis-service to customers and eventually boomeranged back to Buyee.

PLEASE understand the root cause and the main issue.
It is NOT a simple mater of reciting the mantra that orders, once placed, cannot be cancelled.

My experience was very good everything was exactly as described brand new in packaging came very early a lot earlier than I thought it would be the shipping fees are a little high but still cheaper than buying the items on eBay or regular Mercari And everything was packed very well I just ordered 13 more items and they're supposed to ship out tomorrow these were larger items so the shipping fee was a bit more. Also always consolidate your packages and the shipping is way cheaper.

I have been using buyee to purchase vintage car wheels but enough is enough.
There staff don't know how to package properly or reduce sizing so they end up just chucking wheels into big boxes and I pay an arm and a leg for shipping.
I've received numerous packages where the wheels have been damaged due to improper care.

I'm terminating using their services as they once were decent but now cost me more than I'd be spending with a proper broker I know can get the job done like Jauce or jessestreeter.
