I came into the store and did indeed purchase something for a gift for my friend. I was wearing freshwater pearl earrings at the time. There was a dismissive comment about freshwater pearls as opposed to "Broome" pearls.
I felt a little offended but still persevered and purchased something for my friends gift.
A pearl freshwater or not is still a pearl. I understand that their job is to push the "broome quality and product" etc but be wary of offending a person to make them feel that the item they are wearing is second rate.

After my first review Broome Staircase Designs were VERY quick to be in touch and assure me the pearl earrings are on a post set into top of pearl and THEN glued around.

The earrings you purchased are not set any differently to expensive earrings they are all screwed and glued.
