I have travelled with British Airways quite a few times and I have NEVER encountered any sort of difficulty. The staff are courteous and helpful, my luggage has never been lost or misplaced and honestly, the food isn't too bad either (though I wish they would have options other than the chicken curry and the pasta). On-flight entertainment is also superb. However, the thing I love the most is that even with a slight delay, you are very likely to arrive at the expected time or only just shortly after.
I would definitely recommend their services to anyone wanting to fly long haul.

Every time i have flown with them they have excelled in every department including my latest experience flying with them London to Sao Paulo, Brazil. I was flying with my partner and on arriving at Heathrow T5 checkin we recieved a free upgrade to World Traveller Plus. The onboard service and cabin crew were first class, the food very good, the onboard entertainment the best i have ever experienced with over 5000 hours of entertainment at your fingertips.
Our flight ended up being diverted to Rio as Sao Paulo was too dangerous to land at due to extreme weather. Nothing they could do. In the end Sao Paulo airtraffic control were so inempt at relaying relevant info to Rio ATC that we were left with no answers for an hour or so at which time Rio ATC confirmed it would be too late and illegal to fly to SP by the time we would arrive at this point.
So with in half an hour BA groundstaff booked a hotel room for every couple or family in the same fantastic hotel close to the airport where free transfers, evening meals, rooms, all alcoholic and soft drinks as well as breakfast the next day were all provided completly free of charge.
The next morning a new flight with the same crew and pilot was arranged to fly to SP at 2pm - taking 45mins - and this time landed with perfect weather conditions - free meals and drinks provided too.
Fly long all regular to the US and always use BA, no problems, no lost luggage. You get what you pay for.
Have travelled with British Airways in the past. Good alternative for air travel. The carrier offers superb in-flight entertainment, meals and services.
Been using BA for the last 12 months with work. Not the cheapest but the service makes up for the extra cost most of the time.
I always believe you get what you pay for and I like the little extras without all the stress of the airport.
