I've been buying from Book Outlet for several years now. While I love that I am able to get new books for a lot lower cost, I still get frustrated with their shipping. They don't put any packing materials in their boxes, so at least one book in my order arrives damaged every time. This most recent package had 2 damaged books out of the 7 books I ordered. While their customer service is good at either refunding your money or sending a replacement copy if they have one, I would prefer to just get the books I ordered in the condition they're supposed to be.
It took 3 weeks to get my books. I love the price and selection but the timeline is frustrating.
I just sent 2 emails regarding my order. I hope you can correct your big mistake. Will not recommend you to my friends if your mistake is not corrected.

I bought three books to give as gifts, but every one was marked with marker on the top pages and/or the cover. I assumed they would be new and unmarked; there was no indication I would not receive used / marked up items.

Our product is purchased from many different publishers at amazing prices and we pass along these savings by selling them at 50% to 90% off. The books we purchase are all new & unused and represent publishers’ excess inventory or in many cases excess inventory at bookstores that has been returned to the publisher. The publisher puts a small mark or line on the edge of the book identifying it as a “bargain book” that can no longer be returned to the publisher for credit. I have been having a somewhat rough couple months and needed to go on a book shopping spree. Book outlet was fantastic! Great Prices, great selection, easy to use site. Everything was packaged well - I am more than happy. Please know these books might have slight wear or might have store stickers on them. I am more than happy and will be gladly returning frequently. The price paid for the books was amazing and the reason I order most of my books from Book Outlet, I understand that the 2 weeks shipping time is just the new normal. My latest package quite frankly looked like it had been beat to heck and back as it had to be wrapped in packing tape at some point to keep the box intact although there was a somewhat large hole at the corner that didn't get taped, so the paperback book close to that corner did sustain a minor tear whereas the other books were undamaged. I will continue to order from Book Outlet, the prices are worth it but I do admit I will be anxious about the condition that my order will arrive in.
Book Outlet is the only website that I know of which carries new books for very low prices. Basically, they receive new books in the form of overstock, and sell them for way less than you can find anywhere else. Sometimes the prices are even lower than that of equivalent used books. These are generally high quality books that are packaged well enough not to get dinged up in the shipping process. If there is a problem with the physical condition of the book, you simply send them an email w/ pictures attached, and they promptly take care of your issue. Book Outlet has offered a much better experience than other book selling sites I've encountered (including everything from packaging quality to customer service).

A little bit of packing material would solve a lot of problems for bookoutlet. The order I received most recently had a lot of damage because the box was too big for the amount of books I ordered. They got tossed around one too many times in transit and without any packing material at all, white a bit of damage ensued. Although not enough, of course, for bookoutlet's return policy to do anything about. Convenient.

I love Book Outlet! They have many of the titles I am searching for at reduced prices. Shopping and ordering are easy and my books arrive fairly quickly and in good condition. I have never had any problems with any of my orders.
It was easy to find the book I wanted on the website, and the actual price for the book was attractive. Shipping & handling seemed a bit high for a book; I would have happily waited longer for a lower shipping cost. The book arrived as promised.
For the second time, the books I ordered were not packed very nicely. Though this time none of the covers were ripped, just the corner and a few pages bent due to a flap of the cardboard box being inside of the book. (I took a video when I opened the book, but I have yet to share it). The order before that, a cover was shredded because of the top of the box was damaged and the book that was on the top of the pile suffered. (Which is why I took the video.) And I do believe the order before that I was missing a book, but after contacting you, it was sent.
