We've had great experiences with Book Outlet in the past. This was not one of them. One book came with a price sticker (that looks exactly like a Costco price sticker) … and we paid several dollars more than what was on that sticker. The book itself was a bit banged up too. Also, many of our other books had a permanent colored dot on them from a marker. I'm imagining it's a system used to sort the books but the books don't feel as new when they come marked.
One of the books, a paperback, was damaged in transit. The last 20 pages and the back cover were badly wrinkled. There wasn't any packing material in the box to prevent the books from shifting.
Despite disclaimer that books may have minimal damage, all 6 that I ordered were great shape. Price was amazing and delivery time good.
I ordered 8 books during the $5.99 sale and paid around $35. Shipping time was almost a week. All of my books came in excellent conditions, some markings but I am guessing it is for inventory purposes.

I love book outlet! Great deals and quick shipping. However, the packing of items has left many of my books torn and scuffed up. It would be great to have something in there to buffer the books.

The only part of the experience I didn't like was the packaging. The top of the box was nearly torn off by the time it got to me and there were holes in the side and bottom. I know other people who have had similar experiences and said this is different than the boxes previously used. Otherwise very happy with the books and extremely happy with the prices!

All but one book were in near perfect condition. Of course, the paper back, 'Shift' by Hugh Howey, had to be the damaged one. I used to order for a store I worked at and we had samr issue. Overall, though... they are books and they always make me happy.
