The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to inadequate customer service and a lack of accountability. Many reviews highlight issues such as harsh refund policies, unresponsive support, and problems with fraudulent listings, leading to frustrations over lost funds and unresolved complaints. While some customers appreciate the variety of accommodations offered, the overwhelming sentiment indicates a lack of trust in the company's commitment to customer satisfaction. To improve its reputation, the company must enhance its customer service responsiveness and take greater responsibility for the listings it promotes.

Without my consent, Booking.com gave my credit card to a vendor, who charged me, without me even staying at the property. 10 phone calls later after hours and hours with the agents, booking.com keeps finding excuses not to return my money
I recently had an extraordinary experience with Booking.com's Transport Department, all thanks to a wonderful individual named Isah. Facing unexpected delays with my flight, I found myself in a bit of a predicament regarding my taxi booking. It was during this stressful time that Isah stepped in, not just as a representative, but as a beacon of support and understanding.
From the moment I reached out, Isah was there to calm my nerves, reassuring me that I was in safe hands. He went above and beyond to accommodate my situation, ensuring that my taxi booking was rescheduled seamlessly amidst the chaos of travel hiccups. His empathy, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to helping me navigate through these difficulties were nothing short of remarkable.
Isah's exceptional service and the assurance that "he will do whatever he can to help" truly set a new standard for customer care. It's rare to encounter someone so committed to the well-being and satisfaction of customers. This experience not only alleviated my stress but also reinforced my trust in Booking.com's services.
To Isah and the entire Transport Department at Booking.com: thank you for turning a potentially disruptive travel setback into a testament to outstanding customer service. Your efforts are sincerely appreciated, and I look forward to relying on your services in my future travels. Isah, you are a true asset to your team, and your dedication deserves the highest praise.
I read through the other reviews too late and I suppose mine isn't as bad though I did pay for 2 nights and didn't get refunded though clearly didn't stay at a woman's dorm.
Called customer service and kept
Getting hung up on after a promise
Call back. Absolutely ridiculous 🙄
I had a disappointing experience with Booking.com. Initially, I received a reward for a free airport taxi service due to my first booking. However, the service was abruptly removed without any prior notice, and when I contacted customer care, they claimed the offer had expired with no clear information about a 24-hour expiration period. Disappointingly, they refused to provide the promised free service.
Furthermore, I noticed an incorrect application of city tax for kids under 13, which goes against basic tax laws. It seems many customers may unknowingly be paying this additional city tax. For a reputed organization, such lapses in communication and adherence to legalities are concerning. I hope Booking.com addresses these issues more seriously in the future.
Absolutely useless and you can't contact them if you need to change anything! Tried to book a simple flight seven times, took all afternoon and if you need to shorten/length your hotel stay then don't bother...Utterly useless and impossible to contact...you lose hours if your holiday trying! Don't use them, simple...
I was requesting my refund, this was a scam, the owner is rude, he told me that he can only arrive after 6 pm, i provided him the oficial state id ( carte nationale), and he refused, and insisted for passeporte, i didnt feel comfortable, because there is a lot of people here faking ( falsifying) foreigne passeports and visas, and go overseas illegale, and the property is not lacated is faraway outside
As a host this interface is awful. Stick to air bnb. This has been a nightmare. Guests showing up and booking without our permission.
We booked a room in a house, when we got there nothing was like in the description, specially we had to pay for a public parking when they said it was free. We try to contact the host to try to at least fix the parking issue and he was nowhere to be found. Long story short, we try to talk to Booking.com to try to get our money back for the false advertisement, scam, and cuz we finally talk to the host, he insulted us verbally… and they said they couldn't do nothing for us. They didn't gave us our money back, we ended up paying extra money for a hotel room. AirBnB is 200 times better in everything. I will not change them never again.
If you thought VRBO or Airbnb were bad - BOOKING.COM takes the gold star of worst website for hosts. Couldn't be anymore user unfriendly if they tried. They clearly have developers developing the site to ensure hosts are lost in how they have things set up. Certainly not created by anyone who has end user experience as a priority. Get your 90-year old developer off the development team and get someone in that has some experience with current day websites and how to work with hosts and even travelers.
Email support terrible. Phone support terrible (if you can find a number). Website - hard to do anything as they systems don't actually work! Cryptic emails. And my worst fear is not getting paid by this company! Clearly not driven at all by any kind of up to date technology or even bothered about user experience from host or traveler stand point!
I recently listed my property on Booking.com and I received a few bookings with only three honoured. Now comes the invoices including the guest that did not turn up. I disputed these invoices but booking.com insisted that it is my responsibility Every time I email/text the customer service, I get a different response not related to what the subject matter was to follow up with guests to complete their reservation and collect, money from them. I eventually paid for two invoices with bank transfer but surprisingly, the money I paid no one says anything about it nor receipt to show I paid has never been forwarded to me. Now they want another payment from me worst for guest that never turned up with their bookings. I have sent receipts of payment over and over again, only to get a message that I have pending invoices which they have communicated to me with NO RESPONSE as shown here (Your property listing has been suspended

My booking.com team be serious
Over years I rented 2 hotels and 1 car in different countries. All providers charged unannounced extra fees. Last time, for the car rental Booking.com told me to not worry, they understood the issue and the car rental shouldn't have charged these fees, to complete my rental has planned and to fill out a claim when back home. I did it and not only they rejected my claim while I provided the same information I provided before but when I have tried to escalate it, they hanged off on me every attempt. We are talking here $429 extra for a $890 car rental. For hotel I was charged 13% extra at the front desk because it was a Booking.com reservation. Both hotel in Canada and in Costa Rica were below standard one with cockroach and limited bedding, no soap, no towels, etc, the other one in Canada with angry owners and post-it literally everywhere in the bedroom to dictate what to do or not. I'll never ever use Booking.com again. I really enjoyed using other apps such as Expedia, TripAdvisor and Viator and would recommend using these ones instead.
I booked a so called hotel in Santa Maria Hutalco, Mexico. The place was really far way of what called a place for accomodation/hotel. It was nightmare to stay over there and we escaped immdetely that place. Actually I was fooled by false pictures and location presentation in Booking.com.
I asked the refund at least for the remaining days(booked for 2 nights) that the (hotel) management didn't answer and refused to refund.
I filed the complain with Booking.com after while communicting with them that was not easy to access, I heard the management do not response to their request and not answering.
My reply to them was, so you experienced that they are advertising wrong place in your site and even do not response to your request, so, why you are keeing their wrong advertising in your site.
Seems Booking.com put any ad in their web site and take no responsibility of their validity.
DON'T BEE FOOLED WITH WHAT ADVERTISED IN BOOKING.COM AND NEVER TRUST TO THIS SERVICE.
This company should not be in business! There main purpose is to screw people! I had a car rental through them and due to flight delays and flight detours due to lack of fuel I didn't arrive at Orlando as expected totally out of my control now they refuse to return my money, that's BS. I will never use them again and recommend that you don't use them either unless you have money to throw away.
My experience with Booking.com regarding my stay at Treebo Trend TMS Residency in Delhi was extremely disappointing. Despite clear violations of booking terms by the hotel, Booking.com failed to provide any assistance or response when contacted. The platform's lack of support and responsiveness during such a challenging situation was unacceptable. As a result, I have lost trust in Booking.com and will never use their platform again for booking accommodations. I urge others to consider alternative booking platforms that prioritize customer service and support in times of need.
My spouse and I booked a condo in December for a trip to Maui to celebrate our 10th year anniversary. Our reservation was canceled a month before leaving for our trip to Hawaii giving us little time to find a comparable place that we liked, in the same price range. This was after our flights were booked. We were able to reserve elsewhere on our own but we are paying more as there are less places available. I called the company to find out what they could do to help us out and was told they cannot do anything. There is no cancelation policy that protects us the client although the owner of the condo can keep our money if we cancel on short notice. I asked for a credit to cover the difference but was refused. They could have paid an excursion or something for the additional stress. I was also unable to speak to a manager. I will not be dealing with this company any longer as their customer service is terrible.
There is an apartment on booking.com site called MILUS HOMES
It's in rome. 3 of us booked to stay 2nd febuary to go to the rugby. This is the truth not a rant.
What a pit. Mold in every corner, stained mattresses, rotten food in the fridge,a guy from a nieghbouring flat cooking his tea on two ring stove. Some minor gangster met us and demanded a further 80 euros, claiming it was a 2star bed and breakfast. Really? Ha ha ha you couldn't make it up. He even hand me his phone to speak to a rep from lastminute /bookin.com.
IT WAS HIS MATE
We left and went elsewhere but on a serious note what if we were a young family 👪 or single parent.
It needs to be closed
They,ll probably change the name but they can,t change the address

You have been warned
No words to describe. Had talked about it to customer service for hours... And no results.

Booking.com is a rip off. Please do not waste your money because you cannot get refund or change any reservations through this third-party company. I end up paying over $1000 for a hotel room in Las Vegas that was booked through booking.com needed to change my reservations and I could not change or cancel.
This 'company' will do anything it can to scam you out of every cent.
In addition to making it near impossible to withdraw funds from our hosting service, their 'clever' finance chart shows your GROSS profits, while also presenting a bar for the commission you owe them. This makes it seem like the profit bar is your NET profit, as there's another bar for your commission, so why the double representation?
Clearly, this company is geared more towards fooling it's client-base, and extracting as much value from the marketplace by way of being a parasitic middle-man.
Absolute 0 trust score.
I am a host. Had a first booking.com & guest did not paid me saying they pay directly to booking.com, i called many times and of course oversees incompetent people saying its my fault by not collecting at the check in time, now i tried to get paid and booking.com & they refused saying its my fault. I am a private owner and its not a hotel and booking.com has been nothing but a nightmare to deal with. Stay away! Airbnb is amazing has been hosting for 12 years with a superhost status and never ever encounter such problem! Very disappointed and sad for such huge but poorly managed industry.
Answer: In my case they took my payment information and paid the hotel where I was going to be staying. Only to find out that the hotel was out of business and I had to prove that it was charged to my account. They did not find me a replacement hotel to stay in for the same price. Nor did they care that I was left without a place to stay. So beware before you purchase.
Answer: Don't waste time with booking.com. They have horrible customer service and will make every attempt to cheat you. Simply report the problem to your credit card company to get your refund.
Answer: Run. Run away. This company and the company used to insure their bookings are scams.
Answer: booking.com has horrible customer service. Don't use them.
Answer: You pay a non refundable price on line. When you check into your hotel, it's billed to your Bookings.com reservation plus incidentals (local calls, parking fees, resort fees, dining, bar fees, Europe charges local or city tax, spa fees...) the hotel will ask for a card as a hold for these fees. Use bookings.com, find the hotel you wish to stay in (get all info and contact them directly via website and price match) the Marriott in Rome had a room for $80.00 less on the Marriott website than these, so called MONEY SAVING SITES.
Answer: Can you please explain why you think Booking.com is not trustworthy please?
Answer: It depends on the hotel some don't charge until you arrive at hotel more will charge your card straight away check your booking it should tell you there
Answer: Trevago is hooked into Booking.com don't make a mistake and let trevago send you to booking.com go to Hotel.com which is more professional. I had to go to American Express customer serviced to complain and they gave a dead line for explanation. They had no explanation for crappy service and had to repay me.
Answer: You will need to pay taxes in addition to the quoted price. Call the motel and they will tell you about the taxes. A few places still don't charge exttra taxes e.g. Harris Ranch in California.
Answer: You can't. That's the whole idea. You provide a service, and your customers get to give their review of your place and your services.
