I call them everyday for my refund they put me on hold and cancel. They don't know how to work they are thieves.
I tried to modify a reservation at City Suites in Chicago. The hotel says I have to call booking.com but their phone number is unpublished. Logging in doesn't help because their help center only gives canned advice and no number. In one piece of advice, though, they said to contact the hotel.
My advice to you. Use booking.com to locate a hotel and then call the hotel directly to make the booking.
Do not buy airline tickets on Booking.com. Use direct sales w/ carrier imho. If you need to change flights or dates—essentially can lose all yr money & even double cost of original ticket! No returns or wallet option at least w/ Condor via Booking.com & dates difficult to change thereupon! Bookings. NAH!
I had to pay a cancellation because of booking.com this is the second time this has happened…I would never use this app again every that you could think of was wrong
I used booking.com to book a supposed hotel for my son in London England. They took my money upfront for 4 nights! When my son arrived at the hotel it wasn't a hotel it was false advertising on booking.com's website. It was basically a terraced house with rooms he was put in a basement where there were no sheets on the bed mould in the bathroom dirt everywhere no curtains etc. He immediately left the hotel and we called booking.com and the hotel immediately. The hotel tried saying that they could upgrade him even though they only had one room the night before.Booking.com had me on a wild goose chase for for five days telling me that they were going to try and get the money back from the hotel my son went back and return the key as is in his haste of leaving he forgot to leave it. The hotel itself said that once the key was returned he would get his money back of course they were no longer able to be contacted and booking.com just kept stringing us along for five days telling us that they would try to get some money back from them. In the end they refused to give payment back because they said the hotel wouldn't cooperate and neither did they. I would never use them again each time you call there you get a different customer service rep who just strings you along with information handling you saying things like oh we can see how fresh frustrated you must pay etc. In the end I lost over $800 Canadian which I'll never see again and my son ended up staying somewhere else so we paid double for the 4 day stay. Booking.com are thieves working alongside disgusting hotels that advertise accommodations that don't exist! Never use them!
We were supposed to go to Florida tomorrow. The governor has declared a state of emergency because a Category 3 or 4 will be there Monday or Tuesday. Booking.com will not even give 6s a partial refund. We are an elderly couple. They are taking advantage of that
Rented a place under the impression that was renting a decent Hotel room, based on false advertisement allowed by Booking.com.
Cancelled the reservation the moment I arrived at the address provided and there wasn't any sign indicating that was the right place nor anybody greeting me and my wife. Felt very unsafe in the area.

The hotel gave us a refund of 22.02 on check out state, since we booked thru booking. Com they have to credit our credit card, the hotel verified that we were due the refund but booking.com won't do it unless I prove we haven't received it. I tried 3 times to settle this. I am done with those company. I filed complaint with BBB.
Booking.com rented me a room that has and still is under investigation by great Yarmouth environment services after numerous complaints and booking.com couldn't really give a f+&k, then again the council still let's the fjaerland hotel rent rooms via booking. Com so it's a compete disgusting farce
My wife and I spent a week in NYC in April 2022, booking the hotel through Booking.com. The hotel had some problems with cleanliness, TV service, inattentive front desk, and their breakfast room was closed for COVID, but they charged me for it anyway. After multiple calls and emails, the hotel management and I agreed that they would refund me $96 for overcharges. Here's the catch, though. Because I had reserved through Booking.com, the hotel insisted they could not send me the refund. I had to work through Booking.com. DISASTER! This company has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I'm astounded they're still in business. I spent four months, 13 emails, phone calls and screen shots; I spoke with customer reps in the Philippines who barely spoke English and were completely unable to help me at all. Nothing but the party line! "I understand you must be frustrated..." They even insisted they had already sent the refund to my bank, though that was a lie. Even with my routing and account # they could not document sending it. After four months of constant effort, I gave up. Avoid using Booking.com! You may get lucky, but more likely, you'll get burned!

I made a reservation of 500 $, paid on 2 august 1 week before my arrival, the reservation got canceled duo to some système errir or whatever as the host said she never cancelled it either, i contact them over 10 times by calls and mails they keept telling " sorry" we cant refund you and none cared to answer my mails..
Never book flights with Booking.com.
I booked 3 tickets for December.
The airline canceled the flight and according to airline terms the tickets become fully refundable.
Booking.com kept giving me the round round for days and after 10 days sent me to speak directly to the airline.
The airline processed the cancelation and issued a refund to Booking.com because they were charging me and paying the airline, therefore airline cant send the money directly to me.
BE VERY CAREFUL!
Now booking.com is holding $1600 which is my money but still not giving me the refund for the ticket despite the fact that the reservation was canceled and that they are in possession of the money.
I will keep looking for ways to fight them but please DO NOT BOOK FLIGHTS WITH BOOKING.COM...

WORST - Airline changed time on ticket from http://Booking.com - They took 1.5 hours and transferred me across 7 agents due to their incompetence and still cannot resolve for 48 hours - http://Booking.com is very incompetent and will waste your time!
Made reservations through booking.com for a funeral we needed to attend in Florida at Stayable Select hotel. We arrived to find that this hotel was in the middle of renovation. The front desk entrance was closed with sign guiding us to a building 1000. None of this was advertised on the website. We are having difficulty getting a resolution. We want $ returned for false advertising.
I bought a flight through Booking.com, and bought flight cancellation INSURANCE. I had to cancel my flight. I was on the phone for FOUR HOURS with Booking.com trying to get my money back. They REFUSED to help me. They said I bought insurance through a 3rd party, so too bad. But I bought the flight cancellation insurance through Booking.com! They ruined my entire day. Please, only book flights and hotels directly with the airlines and hotels so you don't have to go through this kind of hell like me.
DO NOT USE BOOKING.COM. I have an upcoming international flight to Dublin and the return flight was cancelled by the airline. Booking.com did offer an alternative and told me I would hear back in 7-10 business days. After 3 weeks- 21 days of no response and calling their customer service every day, no resolution was made. I told them that I needed the alternative flight approved or a refund asap because I could not be stuck in another country. I asked them to escalate... well it's 5 days out from my trip and over a month since they cancelled my flight and "submitted an alternative flight change" I still haven't heard back on the approval and then I just got an email saying my flight was cancelled and they offered another alternative flight. The fact they wont' immediately approve it and I still have to wait for approval when my flight is less than 5 days away is not acceptable. I have placed countless calls and no resolution. It's disgusting they can treat others like this! I would leave zero stars if I could. This needs resolved.
Booking will scam users by presenting options to upgrade the Genius level in return of a number of bookings and stays. Booking will always reduce the number of booking no matter what to try to have the users book more. Practically no customer service or method to dispute their scam.

Answer: In my case they took my payment information and paid the hotel where I was going to be staying. Only to find out that the hotel was out of business and I had to prove that it was charged to my account. They did not find me a replacement hotel to stay in for the same price. Nor did they care that I was left without a place to stay. So beware before you purchase.

When you check into your hotel, it's billed to your Bookings.com reservation plus incidentals (local calls, parking fees, resort fees, dining, bar fees, Europe charges local or city tax, spa fees...) the hotel will ask for a card as a hold for these fees. Use bookings.com, find the hotel you wish to stay in (get all info and contact them directly via website and price match) the Marriott in Rome had a room for $80.00 less on the Marriott website than these, so called MONEY SAVING SITES.
