Booking does not give money back for 6 months already.In July for my booking confirmation number is *******952 cancelled in time was taken money from my bank account and they were not given back.
The amount taken was 138,84 euro from the card of my daughter, Daria Anufrieva. I have not received the money back to my account, and to prove it I provided all the bank documents, that the money was only taken out at 2am – 29\07\2022 out 2.625,45 TL and was not given back neither on that date, nor later. The bank cannot give the bill in Euro because the currency of the account is in Turkish lira.
The bank has given the proof of the transaction in Turkish lira.That is a robbery from my account and I am shocked how it is possible not to get my money back from such a respecting service as booking com. It is a bad reputation, booking has stolen this money.

If you want to make booking reservation on thier website they will ask you to put your credit card information. Once they have access to your credit card they will charge your credit card

I have been trying for 2 months to list a property on their platform, hours of phone calls, agents promising to call me back, calls being cut off, and I am no further forwards. I am speechless how this company can be so atrocious when it comes to dealing with customers. Avoid at all costs if possible.
booking.com does not take payments and we do not travel with cash, Yet booking.com takes our master and visa card and does not charge or they charge i have no idea. But its very unsafe to book online this website when they sayd pay at the property, i cant pay cash,. So please, because the bnb i booked is not hotel but a home, so i dont stay
Have used Booking.com for years and several times a year. First time we had an issue they would not help. Several calls to customer service unresolved. The basically missold and took no responsibility for false advertising. Update. I have since been contacted after writing to the CEO and offered 50 percent refund.

I booked a car with booking.com and keddy rent a car did not honor reservation because i had to leave a deposit of 200 thousand pesos that of cause i did not have with me! Then the lady at the counter decide it to ignore booking.com reservationand made other paper work using her employer,company (rent auto keddy) she charge me on new paper work she did! I had some last minute travel plans cancellations due to my passport was expiring 3 days before 6 month requirement so JetBlue did not let me check in for the flight, when u book they don't charge the card but then the property send u email asking for payment in full 10 days before they don't tell u if u cancel even before your check in u will lose all the money you paid for reservations. But they won't give you money back be aware of that
Forbid that you ever have to altar a reservation. I went to their site to change a car rental pickup time and it won't let me. I called the number they provide and all I get is a long winded and muffled recording in french. Avoid this site!
I would give this business less than one star if I could. On July 1,2022, I tried to make a booking for a cabin for my family but I never received a confirmation and this trip never appeared in my Booking.com account at all, much less as a confirmed trip. So, I assumed that the booking did not go through. Shortly after, my husband had a serious decline in health. He has a terminal brain tumor and was hospitalized on July 5.
I realized that we could not make the trip and I cancelled the airline tickets. I checked to see if I had a booking for lodging but could not find one. That didn't surprise me since I never received confirmation. There were no emails confirming a booking and I checked again in my Booking.Com account and there was no lodging reservation for this trip. So, I assumed that the booking had never gone through. And, of course, we did not make the trip or use the lodging related to this charge.
The next month, I saw a charge for over $1000 on my credit card statement for a trip on Booking.com. I looked again in my Booking.com account and still there was not booking to match that charge though many past trips did appear in my account.

I booked a motel on booking.com a motel in Rotorua New Zealand called Greenview motel on 18 November for us to stay on 30-31 December 2022. It was paid & confirmed by booking.com and we had email with booking confirmation numbers and PIN code.
On 30 December at the motel we wanted to check -in, but we're told that our booking was from 31 December-1 January. We called booking com, who told our booking dates were correct. Motel had no interest to help us, so we waited 2 hours at the motel, outside, at +30 degrees hot weather.
We were told to find accommodation ourselves, as motel had no rooms available. They also wouldn't cancel ur booking, so we could get a refund.
We were left with no place to stay, no refund, no cancellation, nothing, wasting 2 hours of our holiday in Rotorua. Our mood was ruined, we were embarrassed in front of our guests who arrived from Europe
We called booking again, they sent to us "backpackers" as an alternative accommodation! Appalling. No words to describe our anger.
We couldn't find any suitable accommodation, except the rooms where prices start from $450 per night.
We had to drive back home to Auckland, which is 3 hours drive.

We checked into our rental in NZ (22 days) and it was absolutely filthy: spills all over the fridge, including dripping down the inside of the door, cobwebs and bugs in every corner, feces and urine on the toilet and rim/seat, hair in the out of order bathtub, stains on the sheets and pillows including 1 that looked like blood, and non cleaned carpets/table surfaces. We contacted management and they came 6 hours after check in to "clean" where we watched her clean the inside of the toilet with a rag and then move to the inside of the fridge with the SAME RAG. We were absolutely disgusted so we called booking and they gave their little so sorry blah blah blah speil and said they'd give us $40 as compensation. We went to go buy our own sheets and cleaning supplies so we could clean and stay but when we got back that evening there were multiple cockroaches on the walls and bed sheets. We left immediately and booking only says the management won't refund our money so we are out $3,000 and had to shell out over $3,000 for a hotel room for the entirety of our trip. When the "reception" for management called us he laughed at us and said the rental was "cheap" - so we should expect it to be filthy?! The management also was doing their laundry in the space we rented while I was alone - I was quite scared being in a different country so I went to my room and locked it while she was using the laundry. Booking. Clearly they think cockroaches are acceptable in their listed accommodations so I HIGHLY recommend NEVER USING BOOKING.COM. The video I try to post makes it to 9% and then freezes but I have every aspect on video as proof.
I would not give even a 1-star rating. It is a complete fraud company. Be on the lookout, and be very careful when contacting their representatives. I needed to cancel the reservation. I reached their number on the website. The person on the other side claimed that I needed to purchase a $200 booking gift card to make a cancellation. That was their policy, they stated. The name of the person was John James McDermott. He said that if I bought the card, the money would be, in the end, returned to me. They had my booking information fully available, and as I purchased the needed card, they processed and canceled my reservation. Therefore, that was the booking representative. The security team over there needs to protect your data correctly. When I contacted them, they were not helpful and refused to refund me. I will no longer be working with them on booking hotels. However, I was a faithful 'genius' customer for many years. Be careful you talk to their representatives!
Having made a booking and made payment Booking.com cancelled as they couldn't secure the booking. Obtaining a refund was difficult and frustrating. Making contact was impossible, my emails and on-line messages were ignored and met with irrelevant automated responses (see image) that just kept repeating no matter how much information I gave.
Booking.com try their best to frustrate you until you give up. The issue is still un-resolved. I will never use them again and would warn anyone against using them. Just book direct. Much easier and same price.
I booked one night at $99.00 Canadian and was over charged well over $200. When I contacted Joyce C, owner of chicromantic3bed patio wifi and parking listing, Joyce C cancelled my booking and told me to contact booking.com for a full refund. When I spe to Tristan at booking.com, he told me to contact Joyce C. At this point Joyce C's phone number was disconnected and Tristan kept telling me to contact Joyce C. When I asked to speak to a manager, Tristan refused to transfer the call. I'm still waiting for a refund.
After arriving to our reserved whole apartment rental on 12/18 around 5pm for our family reunion of 6, we found out that the place was still occupied. Owner of rental and Booking.con blames to each other about my issue. Booking did little or nothing to help, we spent 2-3 hours with reps because their calls keeps dropping and we ended up talking to 8 reps total and decided to cancel reservation. We resolved that getting that night an emergency hotel night because but the time that we realize that booking agents will not help was to late to get a Airbnb for that night, but we get an Airbnb for the rest of our stay, cheaper, bigger and nicer.
Tried to get the low price guarantee. Responses were so slow and to prevent me from proving the price. It was from their own site so they would be able to prove the lower price. They said since I reserved for 3 people and sent the price for 2 they would not honor a price from booking.com. They did not respond for over 48 hours until it was too late for me to prove the price. I have cancelled and removed all information from their site. No one should use this site.
Answer: In my case they took my payment information and paid the hotel where I was going to be staying. Only to find out that the hotel was out of business and I had to prove that it was charged to my account. They did not find me a replacement hotel to stay in for the same price. Nor did they care that I was left without a place to stay. So beware before you purchase.

When you check into your hotel, it's billed to your Bookings.com reservation plus incidentals (local calls, parking fees, resort fees, dining, bar fees, Europe charges local or city tax, spa fees...) the hotel will ask for a card as a hold for these fees. Use bookings.com, find the hotel you wish to stay in (get all info and contact them directly via website and price match) the Marriott in Rome had a room for $80.00 less on the Marriott website than these, so called MONEY SAVING SITES.

I had to go to American Express customer serviced to complain and they gave a dead line for explanation. They had no explanation for crappy service and had to repay me.
