I am EXTREMELY disappointed in Bluehost on the inability to renew a free domain linked to a hosting account.
It almost as if it is a deliberate effort to frustrate owners of "free domains" associated with hosting packages and money grab in he process.
You're charging for privacy even though you e been hacked a few times and my account password HS been brut forced and it's unclear what you're actively doing to keep my website, that I pay you to host, actually running.

I went to renew my annual hosting package and was SHOCKED to see that your fees have not just increased but have more than doubled since last year ($179 to $419) 134 % increase. Your support helped adjust some of the price but you have now sent me shopping for next years renewal. Regards

You are just trying to rip off users. You're always leaving settings so it's tricky, so it's hard to avoid paying more. You treat your users like $#*!, like they're something to be exploited rather than support. Next time I'll try another service.
This is not the simplest of solutions to use (esp for someone who is not very used to running websites) and it seems that with every step there is an add-on service to be purchased.
A lot of extra fees that are not needed to charge extra. Those features could be included in the price like other hosting to make the purchase process more simpliar and more affordable and vavuble hosting package. I feel bluehost is very deceiving in their advertising.
It is becoming a very big problem getting website hosted at bluehost - it collects a lot of third party software BUT does not control the updates OR even tests's updates but lets the third party push the updates - this then leads tp problems in the website - with these updates even if it is not auto updates

Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
