This is my first time using Bluehost and Wordpress. Thus far, the experience has been great, and the learning curve has been good.
Every time I go to work on my site it takes me an hour just to get logged in. By the time I am logged in I don't have time to work on my site! Super frustrating! This time I tried resetting my password, got no emails for reset. Did the chat, they unlocked my login then sent reset emails. Still didn't get any email resets. Tried resetting myself again after having had it unlocked by the chat person. Tried twice on the second attempt it gave me the option of phone text and that worked. Frustrating!
The service is horrible. I have been trying to get my website running for over a month now, and all I get is the runaround. The agents keep telling me they fixed the issue and I need to wait between 4-12 hours for the fix to work but it never works.
Very poor knwoledge of support techs. One of them even tried to add a cname on the wrong domain. As soon as I told him that I did not was comfortable with that situation, did not even sent a support review rating. And still have not been able to add a CNAME because bluehost nameservers are not working propperly. Really terrible customer and tech service

I purchased 3 domain names. I set one up as a website. I was not able to get the matching name for my Etsy store so I want to redirect the matching domain name I purchased to my website. The knowledge base says it can be done. The Customer Service Rep says it can't be done without spending $300 additional dollars. This seems wrong since it appears to be a free service on other domain provider sites.
Still taking one step forward and two backward. I am getting closer to having a clean site, though. It's harder than I anticipated.
Bluehost email has ALWAYS sucked. I have NEVER been happy with the service provided, and customer service is nonexistant. Currently I am shopping around and will be fleeing as fast as I can from this platform.
Tools and pricing are pretty good. Outsourced/Overseas customer service is horrific and enraging (just like Dell, DocuSign, etc.). It sours my experience of Bluehost more than you can imagine. Also, stop trying to sell everything to me and force advertising useless services.

Paid for migration process has been a nightmare. Nearly 2 months and still not done. Support has been slow, lacking and requiring me to put in much time, effort, energy and resources despite me paying for it.
It won't let me request to transfer a domain from someone's account - they informed me that it was possible, but it doesn't work for some reason - is this a bug?
TBH I barely scratch the surface of what's available on the site, but for my simple needs it has always been easy to navigate. My previous site was a rudimentary site I built with html and it was easy to manage through the Bluehost interface. My current site's Wordpress and it's such a pain, I'm going to opt for a simpler more robust platform for the next iteration. I put this one together initially through the BlueSky subscription and they were very helpful although I've been managing it myself for the past couple of years and the experience has been frustrating. I rarely have cause to ask support of Bluehost but when I do, support has consistently been readily available. As a host I have always found them to be accessible and available and for so long as I require a website as part of my profession I expect to remain with them.
Bluehost uptime is 5 stars but need to be able to submit tickets when help is needed in additional to phone and chat.
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
