Migrating a domain within the Bluehost universe was a nigthmare, we lost access to our website and all company emails for almost 2 days. There should be a warning that will happen when transferring a domain from one blue host account to another blue host account.

Support staff trained to lie

I've used Bluehost for sometime growing from few websites to 50+. After realizing how bad Bluehost is and making a switch to InMotion I'm learning just how poor the quality and service is. The support staff have virtually no idea what they are doing and will lie to you to get you off chat. I've been dealing with a simple website migration that they flagged and spent well over 20 ours on chat and phone to sort it out. Every person you talk to says something different and they are all wrong. On countless occasions I've had to explain to them basics of DNS, hosting and servers. It's rough. It's fine when it's working but pray to god nothing breaks because they take you hostage and you're left dangling.

Where do I start? I've had Bluehost for about a year now and have had many issues with their service. As a result, I've had to spend hours on the phone with their customer service, which I can only describe as incompetent, sexist, and frustrating. They're always interrupting me when I try to describe my problem, can't provide any explanation as to why certain things got removed or deleted, hence why I became frustrated with them during the call.

After one such call, my website was deleted. I have a hunch the customer service rep deleted my site out of spite. When I called CS to restore my website and ask how this happened, the CS rep said it was impossible to tell how that happened and implied that I had deleted it or that someone hacked my website, both of which were unfounded. This is an example of how incompetent their CS reps are. Instead of looking to troubleshoot or try and identify the source of the error, they're quick to blame you.

I'm moving to a different hosting company ASAP.

I wanted a domain for my website and end up analyzing a number of different hosting providers but I think bluehost is better than others with respect to ease of use and reliability. Unfortunately they do have a higher prices which I would want their team to revise as other competitors are cheaper. Beside this affordability factor, it is the best option.

Called today July 3, my husband had passed June 8, He had just renewed for 2 years May 22. They REFUSED to give any sort of refund; instead they sited their refund policy, which I had missed by a week (this grieving widow is BUSY). I find this unacceptable.

I have all accounts and domains recorded but it's always hell to login - even when I copy and paste user names and passwords. I keep getting error messages. I can't login through chrome AT ALL- only Safari.

A major flaw in Bluehost is their support system. Usually in chat but it can at times occur with phone CSRs as well. You either get one that is very knowledgeable- or some that just plain stupid. Many have a problem understanding just what the problem is you're trying to tell them. Also once you get a good CSR but it's an ongoing issue, there is no way to get that same CSR back again. I'm transferring all my domains away from my VPS and killing the VPS for that reason.
