The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and communication. While some long-term users have appreciated the quality of templates and ease of use, many express frustration over unresponsive support, billing issues, and the loss of website content. Common concerns include a lack of timely invoicing leading to service interruptions, inadequate support during critical times, and the perception of being ignored by the company. This trend indicates a deteriorating customer service approach that could jeopardize long-standing relationships and drive clients to seek alternative providers.

I purchased the Charlie site 9/15/21 paid through PayPal transaction went through. Have not received the site yet! I sent in several tickets that I have not received my site with NO response! I then emailed to the email address on my PayPal trans action and NO response. So I ha e to open a case with PayPal with proof of emails and screen shots of tickets sent in. So we'll see if they even respond! I really hate this because I had a site with them about 10 years ago and the customer service was excellent and the site was amazing and easy to use! I think they need to have a dedicated person handle tickets turned in to make sure they get followed up on. I hope they get back in touch soon! I will definitely be sad if not because from past experience they were great!
Adding received my site today! Said my server was blocking Bludomain emails! Just glad it's fixed!
Years ago I went with Blu Domain for my photography website. They used Adobe Flash to design their sites and I was quite happy with it. Last year Adobe discontinued supporting Flash so I guess Blu Domain decided to stop supporting their faithful clients who had Adobe Flash sites that were designed by them. They didn't contact me and even offer me an alternative to the problem. THEY JUST DROPPED ME! Blu Domain always contacted me when they wanted to be paid their annual fee, but I guess they didn't need me once they found out that Flash wouldn't be available anymore. That would force them to admit there was a problem. OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND!
I used BluDomain for a site a couple of years ago and had no issues. Recently, I purchased a new template. I never received the email to access it. I emailed them twice... no response. So, they were willing to take my money for nothing in return. Fortunately, my credit card company refunded me after I disputed the charge.
We refunded you, not the credit card company. We never received the actual order, we did receive the payment and three times are team reached out to you to ask you which website and hosting plan you paid. Unfortunately, a glitch happened in the transition of you placing the order. We can't process the order if we don't have the site information. You requested a refund, and we happily sent that.
I have purchased a template from Bludomain.com - the template costing they have is very cheap and really liked them.
In September of this year I noticed my site was down. I reached out to BluDomain since this has happened every year I have been with them. They finally responded to me in October and they said I didn't pay my domain fee of $20. They had never sent an invoice so they sent it and I paid it that day, Oct 11. Still no site. I sent multiple responses asking for help and finally today, Nov. 13, they tell me my domain was sold because it had expired. I am beyond upset - years of building a business with that domain name and now it's gone. Worst customer service ever. I thought about switching over when my site went down last year for the 4th year in a row and didn't - wish I would have. If you have them I would highly suggest switching now!
Maria, the domain registrar is not BluDomain. If you don't pay your domain name and you allow it to stay expired which is over a month in your case. Domain investors can pick up your domain name in GoDaddy auctions. We have zero control of this. We invoice 3 months out. It's not fun, it's frustrating but we simply can't watch over accounts in the way the actual owner can.
No emails replies to my questions as to why the site is down. My fee was paid in June 2020 100.00 host fee.
I have not received any outstanding balances for anything. Numerous tickets off their support page were made. Zero reply.
I have been with them for over 10 years and they have absolutely no regard for my years of support.
I cannot say enough negative things about this company. I have been beyond disappointed with their customer service and lack of communication. I started my website with them in 2009 and every year since then when my domain was up for renewal I tried to get out of it but once they have your domain good luck getting them to try to release it to you. I was basically stuck with them until this year when things got so bad that I was forced to just create a new domain name for my company so I could get away from them. They would not respond to me for renewal of my domain name so basically my website shut down. They would not get back to me for over a week so I ended up resorting to creating a whole new website. It was a lot of work but now I am so thankful that I never have to deal with their horrible customer service again. Not only did they refuse to renew my domain name but they would not reimburse the $100 yearly fee that I paid for renewal of my website design. STAY FAR AWAY!
At BluDomain we do not have prorated hosting plans. When our 3rd party hosting is paid to renew the server they don't issue refunds that was paid in June. Very clear. We have never had an issue releasing a domain name in 20 years. Your domain is expired and that has not been paid. We can't transfer a domain when it's expired again that's the registrars rules not ours. Very sorry you're frustrated.
I hosted with blu 12 years before they sold both my domain names without warning. It has been a nightmare getting them back. Customer service has gone from fantastic to completely MIA. Steer clear.
We don't sell domains at BluDomain. 20 years that is not our business, we sell websites.
Very simple their customer service is non-existent... site has been down filed work orders to fix no response but got a bill for $20...
They bill me $100 a year which is fine, but they try and collect it twice... STAY AWAY
I have been with bludomain for 10 years, maybe more. They used to be great about responding years ago and i love their templates, easy to use and beautiful websites when they are working. I haven't switched to another site builder yet because im comfortable with using their platform and i dread the endless hours of building a new site. They will probably come on here and rebuttal everything i say but you will notice a pattern with every one of these reviews... HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RESPONSE TIME to every issue! I have paid their yearly hosting fee every year, and the last 3 years or so they shut my site down due to "non-payment" when its really their HORRIBLE bookkeeping skills! I paid it before the due date and they let it expire on their end. I have to email them EVERY TIME to tell them that i paid and to get my site back up and running asap... they sit on the 911 ticket for a couple days... check their records..., oh, she paid... ok, couple days later, lets turn her site back on... thanks... I even tried emailing them in advance last year to tell them i paid and to please make sure my site didn't go down! Didn't work... still went down. My site would be down for weeks before i noticed it! I wonder how many potential clients i have lost over the years due to their poor response time, they have taken weeks and days to respond to 911 tickets! They also don't tell me when my domain is going to expire so i can pay it, not that paying it would help them keep my site up... but they send me invoices after i bring it to their attention and take days upon days to get my site back up and running. If they aren't getting tickets and their customers aren't getting bills they supposedly have sent out then its time to upgrade your billing system and get on top things. You used to be great BluDomain years ago and there are still a couple good workers there but overall im super unhappy with their quality of service. As I write this there are bugs with my shopping cart so my clients cannot purchase anything until its fixed... lets see how many days or weeks my clients have wait before they get it fixed... its so not worth this headache, waste of my time and money. Do yourself a favor and take your money somewhere else.
We don't know who you are, so can't comment without knowledge of who you are. Are you allowed to post with a fake name?
I have submitted support tickets, emailed and facebook messaged with no response. My email and site are down and I can't get anyone to help me get it fixed.
Websites are beautiful and easy to build. Very little customization allowed. Always something wrong with the site and I spent a lot of time trying to fix stuff. Customer service isnt the best.
Janeris what is your URL as we have zero emails under your first name?
I started out with two of my sites at BluDomain. Then as billing fiascos built and BluDomain taking down my site only to realize I had paid the invoice, I decided to move both domain names and hosting to GoDaddy. To my surprise both my websites were registered with ICANN under the name of Aundrea Hasselbach the owner of BluDomain. Might not be an issue now but as far a ICANN is she owns it. So if you have a domain name you purchased through BluDomain, run a whois check on it and see if you are listed as the registrant or she is. Then insist she make the changes. Better yet just request she transfer it to GoDaddy. This is May 2020 and she is still pulling this on people.
Daniel the domains are under my name because registrars make it mandatory if you are a reseller of their domains to have it under one account. As you know you own the domain if you continue to pay the fees. We at BluDomain have no interest in owning your domain name. We have been doing this for 20 years. I think it's very irresponsible to spread misinformation. Pulling it on people, that's just irresponsible Daniel.
No website at all. Gone gone gone. No response. Emaled over 6 times. No response.
This is the first time i have ever had an issue.
I have archived website and now no where to be found.
Terribly disappointed.
Hello Kim, you have been emailing BluDomain. You paid your hosting fee however you haven't paid your domain name renewal. You sent us receipts of your domain name renewal from 2019. It's 2020 we haven't received that. We're trying to help you, resent more invoices but so far no payment.
If there were negative stars I would give those. As soon as I paid for my domain for another year my website gone poof. Kind of strange that they do not have a number listed. I putt in Several support tickets and nothing. Do not use them they are a rip off.
Hello, sorry I don't see your full name or website? If you pay your domain name then it gets renewed. We haven't had a phone support piece since we opened twenty years ago. You were aware of this when you signed up. Sorry I wish I could help you but I need more information! Stay safe!
Im very sad and disappointed with Bludomain because my site is down since March 20th, I already paid my domain fee on January and my hosting few days ago, I sent 2 tickets and emails and there is no answer at all! And this is an emergency, now that I'm working from home I need my website to work with!
I don't know what else can I do.
This is not the first time this happens but I have had a quick response, I don't know what is their problem now.
Let me just lead with please save yourself a mound of frustration and do NOT use bludomain. Their defining characteristic is unethical, unprofessional, HORRIBLE customer service. I cannot stress this enough. Please read the reviews out there. I initially signed up with them 12 years ago and it was as horrible then as it is still today. I just kept paying the yearly fee after a while just to keep the site up, but I should have left, oh, immediately when I realized how rude and unhelpful their people were. I honestly don't know how they are still in business. The BBB has a mound of complaints against them. I'll spare you all the details, but please just find another company. Any other company. Because this one is the worst.
I have been trying for a week to get my problem resolved and they aren't responding! I received an invoice for my domain name renewal on Jan. 16th and paid it on Jan. 17th. Now my site is down and they resent an invoice saying I hadn't paid. I have sent proof that it was paid and NO RESPONSE!
BluDomain received her payment yesterday at 3 PM MST and she was renewed within minutes and is online.
They suck! And they don't respond to support requests. This is what my mobile site has looked like for 6 months.
I don't show any tickets from Erika S. If you can send your request to [email protected] - very sorry to hear this - I don't know how to help you on here as there is no domain name. Look forward to hearing from you.
I was a client of BluDomain for the past 8+ years and FINALLY made the switch after too many issues. First of all, I was double billed many times over the years and had to fight them for a refund. My website crashed multiple times and one crash (in 2019) left my site and content unsalageable. They offered to give me a free site template to make up for the loss. I took it and bebuilt but ran into many more issues that their team could not resolve. Ontop of everything, their custom service SUCKS! They take days to reply and always tend to give excuses to why they can't fix or help with issues. I'm so glad I made the decision to switch domain and website hosts.
Answer: Bludomain is out of business, I've used them for three years and they are gone, no site, no email. Nice of them to leave me hanging, Hope the same happens to them
Answer: No one steals domains. If you don't pay your domain name renewal fee, then the registrar takes your domain, email and website down. At day 26 your domain is available to the public auctions should anyone wish to buy it. Usually, this happens by domain name investors if they feel your domain name is worth buying to resell.
Answer: I had an issue again with not getting response to my emails using the contact button on the website, so I went to the Facebook page, and actually posted a message on there- got a quick response that same day. Problem solved - not to my liking, but problem resolved. I will be looking for a new hosting site soon. If you would like any help with the DBD I would be happy to help- shoot me a message www.lauraleephotography.net

Hello Thomas,
We haven't sold an HTML website for years after Steve Jobs + Adobe had a fallout. Those emails went out to all of our clients for years. If you choose to keep your HTML, it will only work on a desktop if a MAC. Last summer, we reminded people that ADOBE was ending flash in December of 2020. We offered help to move you over.
Twenty years now, we absolutely would never drop you as a client!
