We literally spent 6 months slowly deciding how to cover our new windows. We have a new bow window with 4 panels that we wanted to showcase, and felt that either plantation shutters or Roman blinds would be best. We also have a regular standard rectangular window that we wanted to match. Since both windows are street-facing, the idea of a top-down/bottom-up was attractive to let us see outside while maintaining privacy. We also determined plantation shutters were very much out of our budget. Furthermore since we have cats, we needed to make sure the window treatments were durable and safe. After taking our sweet time trying to figure out how to properly measure for the 4 bow panels so they wouldn't collide with each other, we asked friends for product recommendations for their DIY blind installation- they recommended Blingsgalore. We liked the options and the measuring instructions were straightforward (we also researched measuring/installation instructions to death, so we were grateful for their summary). The instructions were very clear, we reported the measurements as directed, ordered 6 blinds in all, and received all within a week. After half a year of plastic bags as window coverings, we installed the blinds with no trouble at all. They came out great and look exactly as we imagined. We and the cats are very happy!
