You will be guaranteed call and jobs, and will not receive what you were promised. Don't let yourself be deceived by the person selling you yelp ads, they are doing it for commission and will say anything that is necessary. I signed up in December and received not one lead for the entire month although I was guaranteed my money($300 for 1 month) back if I didn't receive any. I call them to request a refund and to terminate my membership and they say it'll be $400 to terminate and no refund available. When I ask to be sent to management they will ignore the question and pathetically apologize and say they cant do anything about someone else's promises. Yelp does not hold their employees accountable for their lies just to get the commission.

I was offered $300 dollars coupon by my GoDaddy hosting provider, so I could try Yelp. After two weeks of using I decided to stop my advertising campaign because of the price was too high and I did not get any customers, moreover, my profile was not yet complete. I remember, I canceled it at the end of October, and later, in a week, I entered to check if it was canceled. Everything was very confusing on their website and I remember that the campaign was in status "paused" or something like that. Later, on December 2, I noticed that my credit card was charged: YLP* YELP ADVERTISING Sale $217.66. I was shocked, and contacted support. They told me that they cannot issue the refund, and I might be charged once more up to the cancellation date, which I was. I did not receive any notifications or reminders about those payments, they just charged me!

I just terminated my relationship with Yelp as they would not post my review and did not answer honestly as to why. Yelp cannot be trusted as I came to see that they used the reviewers as a leverage to extort money from businesses by either emphasizing and/or withholding negative or positive reviews.

Yelp is a platform for scammers and complainers to threaten businesses. Good reviews are hard to come by, but when one little thing happens they will come to no ends to bring down your business. Yelp is one website you dont want your business to be apart of. They dont support businesses. Thats why no businesses supports yelp. I will tell all my business associates to review how yelp has worked out for them.

Yelp is a JOKE!
November 22, 2017

To all you business owners out there, I highly recommend staying away from Yelp! They do not care about your business they only want you to spend money on ad's. Even if you get a bad review that goes outside of their guidelines, they will not remove it. They dont want to hear the businesses side of a circumstance and protect the consumer even if they are in the wrong.
I asked for them to cancel my account and they will not take the content down.
The people who work there are RUDE, OBNOXIOUS, and down right MEAN!
They dont give you a number if you have a problem, you can only call them if you want to buy an ad. What does that tell you! They just want your money for an ad that will not help your business on this site because its a complete JOKE!
So, ALL YOU BUSINESSES OWNERS, DO NOT BUY AN AD. Most importantly DO NOT SIGN UP TO HAVE YOUR BUSINESS POSTED ON THEIR SITE! Please please dont do it. You will be sorry if you do.

SCAM
November 17, 2017

I work for a small business and participated in a $300 intro coupon for it. Little did I know it would only take a short period of time to wipe out $300 and add a few hundred more. My boss, understandably, took the problem out of my hands, paid it, yadda, yadda, chewed my $#*!, I violated her trust, yadda, yadda, all thanks to Yelp. What she doesn't know it that I'm not done pursuing this issue. Yelp, I have taken on bigger cookies thank you. I'm coming for my boss's money, you bag of shriveled $#*!s. They also have THE WORST customer service. Everyone hates their job (given), and NO ONE THERE EVEN BOTHERS TO HIDE THAT THEY HATE THEIR JOB.

Total rip off!
November 10, 2017

They charge you a ridiculous amount of money. They make spectacular claims. Then you get nothing from them. Not one contact in 3 months. Now I owe Yelp over $1,000, and never made a cent from their useless business page. Once they get your card. They just charge away. I tried to cancel after the first month. It's just a money pit. Stay away at all cost.

I'm a small business owner with a certain budget for advertising. A Yelp sales person contacted me to see if I might be interested in paying for their service to steer customers my way. I was pretty skeptical but she tried a number of angles..."yelp is the preferred search engine for millennials", "Yelp is different and better than other search engines", "customers can contact your business directly through yelp" i. E. it's the most user friendly search engine ever. I bit, but set a spending limit of no more than $300 per month, with the assurance that I would probably never reach that limit and, if I did, my business would be growing proportionally. Last month they billed my credit card for $525 and I can't recall a single customer that found me through Yelp (I do check with each customer to see how they found me). I called to cancel and they tried the old "Oh... we're sorry we feel that way." Then..."if you really want to cancel, you can go online and cancel through our website." This of course sounds like an exercise in futility to me, so I demanded that for $525 of zero value, surely they are capable of shutting it down on their end. FINALLY they agreed to shut off my account. We'll see if they do. Oh, and by the way, they can't forward you to a supervisor if you ask. They're a frigging "state of the art" search engine, and you can't go up the chain of command if you are looking for answers? They are web criminals in my opinion. I'll be watching to see if they actually shut off my account, and I'll also notify my credit card company that I do not want to honor any more charges from Yelp. I'll be surprised is any of this goes smoothly.

Yelp for Business Owners Sinks to Lower Lows
November 8, 2017
Updated review

YELP never ceases to amaze me with little hidden surprises as this time I found new razor blades buried in their bag of candy. Thank God I inspect things. Many businesses listed on Yelp are fake businesses that are proxies for other businesses and contain fake reviews. This helps these greedy businesses get larger market share. YELP also has an Elite Yelp Squad of reviewers that just want social acceptance and are willing to review anything for the sake of adding another notch to their review bedpost. And for these elite reviewers, the payoff is an invitation to wine and dine at restaurants with other like-minded YELP Obsessive Compulsives on YELP's tab. It's a reward system to reinforce the YELP review anything culture.

Everyone knows that YELP doesn't hold itself responsible for which reviews it leaves on or takes off since this is done by some algorithm in the cloud over which they have no control, and with their self-induced climate change, this cloud opens up and peepees down the backs of hard working business owners. So, if you're the recipient of any false reviews that follow your business and negatively affect your image, if you have a paid account, cancel it because eventually the review should get get buried in theory and replaced by other subscriber reviews. BUT, just when I thought it couldn't get worse, it did!

YELP resurrected one of my positive reviews that was previously taken off which in turn resurrected my business presence toward the top of YELP's website for a search for my type of service. First I thought they were developing a sense of responsibility because the positive review raised my review average. But then, presto, they took the review down again, recalculated my review average downward, listed the removed review as not recommended, and the damage was done once again. My business shows up more frequently with more negative stats.

Keep in mind that most businesses, other than restaurants, don't get a lot of reviews. So, each one counts.

So this time, instead of stabbing me in the back, they attempted to hide razor blades in my candy and now I lost my sweet tooth.

They get you in with promises of maximum charges, get you all set for an advertising campaign, and pretty soon you have an invoice for only ~100% more than they quoted you! THEN you have the pleasure of dealing with cancellation over the next thirty days... oh, and you'll be charged for that time too. AVOID THIS SCAM.

AWFUL! SHADY! RUN!
October 30, 2017

ZERO STARS! I clicked on a promotion through my email to run a free trial ad for my business on Yelp. They ended up charging my credit card on file with over $500 worth of charges for their services! I called and inquired about this and they took no ownership. I said I want to cancel all services they were charging me for. The following month I got another $150 charge on my card from them! This is THEFT! Appalling. I will be telling everyone I know to run far far away.

Yelp reviews are shady
October 25, 2017

I've been doing reviews in google, trip adviser and other places on the internet. I read reviews often, mostly about restaurants. Everyone has heard of Yelp. I read the reviews on their too. A Month ago I joined Yelp to post reviews on their as well. They put my reviews in a NOT recommended category! So they aren't even being counted. It was a waste of my time. Then I looked even further into it and it looks as if they discard the majority of reviews. That is nowhere near a true reflection of any place or service. Something isn't right there.

Terrible customer service - in fact no SERVICE at all! Treat people like criminals and like they don't care at all. They put through unauthorized charges and threaten to send you to collection. Really great business model - alienate the only group of people that are paying your revenues. I can't believe how UNBELIEVABLY HORRIBLE they treat people. They've gotten too big to care, I guess. Will NEVER be doing ANY business with them ever again.

Terrible-Don't do it!
October 16, 2017

Spent over $1000 for unqualified leads that did not even pertain to my business. I was very specific with Yelp when setting this up and they assured me I'd get qualified leads. NOT EVEN CLOSE! Spent over an hour trying to get at least some of the money refunded to no avail. The rep. Agreed that I was oversold but said his hands were tied. This was my 2nd try with Yelp. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

Justfly.com Do not bother please save yourself a headache and some frustration, I believe it's some kind of fraud. I made a reservation online the dates entered was correct but when I checked my reservation within two hours it was incorrect. I contacted the booking agent to make the change they're technology could not make the change they therefore informed me that I could cancel but would be charged a $75.00 for the change or nothing less than $40.00. This is unbelievable, what kind of company charges a fee after 2 hours. Before using this agent check BBB for all complaints.

As the new business owner, I had terrible experience with Yelp. Just open salon 3 weeks ago and every week Yelp agent kept calling to ask me pay for advertising on their page so my salon can pop up when people look for the salon. I had 40 reviews(38 review is 4-5 stars and 2 reviews is 2 star) but only bad reviews show on my business Yelp page and the other 38 is not recommended. It's crazy. Well they are trying to make me pay for advertising and not willing to help me with the review not showing. I figured they are an money digger. That's all. Make money from the Yelp reviewer and business owner. Not going to pay a dime. Shame on you

Yelp somehow got a hold of my debit card information, maybe because they offered me a free promotion to do some ads. However, after the so-called promotion was over, they charged my debit card over and over. I did not authorize them to auto-bill me carte blanche, so I disputed the charges with the bank. How can they auto-bill you, without your consent or some kind of auto-billing agreement?

Even when I pay for a sandwich, I have to sign off. How can they charge hundreds of dollars without authorization? Learn the definition of ethics Yelp executives! Folks, do not provide them with your account information!

As a business owner, I always make it clear on paper or through DocuSign WHEN I will be charging my clients and FOR HOW MUCH, and get their authorization to make those charges by obtaining their signatures. Yelp's carte blanche charging without a potential customer's consent is a good case for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
