Terrible customer service. Very unfair. I pay a lot of money and I don't get any customers from them. It cost me $575 a month and they block all my reviews. My competitor's which have just 4 photos on their site have published 180 reviews. Me personally I have an experience in my field for 15 years and I was uploaded 74 photo which makes my website nicer than 30 others, anyway, they block all my reviews.

We were offered $600.00 in free advertising. We were told that we would only have to pay $75.00 a month for enhanced profile. We asked few times if that would be the only charge and were reassured by sales rep that there would be no other charges. How shocked we were to see $375.00 charge on our credit card. Sales rep refuses to speak with us and customer service actually tried to sell us more services while we were on the phone! Dont give them your card information. Its a money grab. They are dishonest and misleading. Stay away!

Same thing as everyone else is writing. I was told to take advantage of $300 in free leads and that i could cancel at by just going to Yelp Ads Page online and "End Campaign". The funny thing is that i did that in February 2018. I totally discarded it. Then on my credit card statement i see a bill from Yelp for $863 for the month of March. I had to call in and talk to someone. Funny how this time while someone was on the phone with me, i got a confirmation email that the campaign was cancelled. I called the billing department twice and it's like they have a script in front of them. No one was willing or wanting to help me.
STAY AWAY!

Yelp Business marketer calls and talks to business owners about how they can make the business more money.

They walk you through how to sign up and give you a discount for said service.

The service does not improve traffic as they try to sell you.

They give you a promotional price and a recurring charge. Went from $200 to $500+/month.

If you do no cancel it will continue to charge and when I went to dispute the charges they were not about customer satisfaction.

The whole sale, setup, service and charge are misleading and they do not care about the business. They are in the business of taking advantage of owners and managers. Very hard working people have been scammed by this company and if you would like to hear what they have to say about the service just call and ask an account manager to explain their misleading tactics.

You will understand where a lot of these 1 star reviews are coming from. Each one probably have been taken for at least $500 but probably much more.

Anyone who gives these people high reviews clearly are working for them. Jay S said it was going to be a trial period meaning he was going to give me 600 ad credit for the month. So i am thinking i am not going to get that many clicks anyway. Which is what he said as well. However that wasnt the case. The credit was just extra, i still had to pay even though he made it clear i wasnt. I called three times to talk to him, and apparently he was MIA. I tried to talk to the supervisor but apparently ( this is 100% fact what i say next) they couldnt switch me to that division? So the air head moron on the phone was basically saying i cant get a refund becuase you signed up for that. But i wanted to explain what Jay S told me. ( also by the way they refused to give me his last name). So i told the air head i want to talk your supervisor, she refused because i think she was too dumb to press the right buttons. All she was doing was saying i cant give you refund. Also i told them Jay S helped me do what i needed to do on my end. It never once said i was going to pay and he never once said i was going to pay for the month. This is absolute ridiculous. Stay away. I am going to call my bank now and tell the BBB. Hopefully this reaches people

AWFUL, I have advertised on so many different sites and this is the first time that I have felt completely robbed. Sales person signed me up for the free $300 worth of advertising, received and email that showed everything it would be doing for me once I agreed. Then never heard another thing. Until I looked at my checking account and notice they charged me $525 two months in a row! Called to find out how this happened and the guy from yelp was a complete $#*!.

I have filed a complaint with the BBB and I suggest everyone else who feels this way does the same. We are still working through the complaint, but YELP is currently saying they will in no way refund me & that I am going to get charge over $200 on April first for the remaining. I will not accept their response and will keep fighting it.

I signed up using their free $300 credit. Stupid me didnt read the fine print saying it would auto bill after the trial at $300 a month. During the trial, I assumed I did something wrong because I coould never see the ad when seaching and my dashboard never shown a single click. Well, miraculiously, after the trial period was up I had 3 or 4 clicks at $30 a click. I called and owned the screw up even though it's very clearly a setup. The person on the phone canceled the ad. The next month I get another $110 bill saying that in the 6 days it took me to cancel I had 3 clicks at $36 a click. Complete and total scam. They're praying on small businesses! STAY AWAY! Spend your money elsewhere.

Dishonest robbers
March 7, 2018

I like everyone else that reviewed yelp Business, has been robbed. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR PROMOTIONS! You will end up being charged money, no question. After waisting a ton of time uploading info onto my yelp site I did not get a single lead. Yet I was still charged a ridiculous amount per click. I was charged almost $20 per click. Considering I had to do mist if the work and set up my listing, they are making a significant amount of money. Please hang up on the people that call you to set up and tell them to not bother you again. Save yourselves the hassle. Dont use yelp business.

Total scam
March 1, 2018

I was promised $900 free advertising, but was charged instead. When I called to complain, I was told to call during business hours as the department I called didn't handle complaints. I disputed with my credit card, but yelp submitted I had authorized advertising... yes, for FREE ADS! Of course I don't have proof of that. If you have proof that yelp cheated you, please post it here. I wish I had been smart enough to save proof, but it's a huge company. I had no thought they would be a scam!

THE BIGGEST SCAM
February 12, 2018

They charged me $919 in two months for 0 customers.
Called to complaint and cancel my ads. The rep (Tatiana) was sooo rude. She said: "You should've read the contract before signing". I didn't have one to read. Everything happened over the phone, I told her. No one listened to what I had to say.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH YELP!

I signed up for 6 months only. During several phone calls with the sales person I told her my business is only open 6 months a year and I will not sign a contract for over 6 months. She verbally convinced me that she will give me 12 month pricing with a 6 month commitment period but in order to do it she will set it up as "auto renewal" for these first 6 months. They kept withdrawing from me after the 6 months ended, while my business is closed. Several people in their corp finance basically told me "tough luck, you signed the contract". I told that their sales calls are recorded so listen to what their sales person told me on specific dates. They have attitudes and said, sure, we'll call you back. Never received calls back. Extremely pure service. SCAM.

Absolute Scam
February 2, 2018

Signed up for a 300 dollar free ad campaign. 10 dollar a day budget and cancelled 11 days after my 30 days at 10 dollar a day maximum trial. Had 8 clicks for 22 days in december was set at 5 clicks for 10 a day maximum... charged 300 dollars for 22 days not 30 like stated. Canceled on Jan 22 11 days after what I thought my cut off was. Had 3 clicks ok ill pay the 13 dollars or what ever no biggie. Get a bill for 267 dollars for 3 clicks. Call them they claim the promotion is for a month so even if i signed up on the 27 id still use the entire 300 dollar promotion. WTF thats not at all what yall stated when setting things up. Secondly they claim my new bill started on the first of jan not the 11 like i was told on setting it up and when i had spoke to the first rep. Earlier. So accoding to them I was charged 300 dollars for 22 days in december and now 267 dollars for 22 days in Jan. How does this billing make any since when there was only 3 clicks. And I am supposed to be charged 10 dollars for 5 clicks a day! This place is a super scam and will twist there words to make them sound as confusing as possible be wary.

I, like many others here was offered $300 free ad credits. As a small business owner I thought this would be a great opportunity to drum up more traffic to my site and get more sales. Unfortunately Yelp's business model completely takes advantage of business owners. I signed up for the program and did not hear anything else from Yelp. Not a call, not an email, not even a 'here's how you're doing on our platform.'. Two months later I notice an almost $200 charge taken from my bank account. There was no communication about any impending charge, no detail about why a charge was assessed and no explanation. When I called a representative, she was rude, condescending and threatened to end the call when I asked to speak to a manager. She refused to offer a refund or allow me to speak to a supervisor, instead saying she'd have one call me back in 24-48 hours. Yeah, I'm not holding my breath. It actually seems more like these 'account managers' are only there to tell you 'no we aren't giving you a refund, we are keeping your money." She didn't offer any apologies, accept any responsibility or try to accomodate me in the least. DO NOT ACCEPT ANY FREE OFFERS FROM THEM! It is a scam to reel you in and take your hard earned money. If you do, read ALL of the fine print, check in to the account daily to see your progress and set a reminder to cancel that crap AS SOON AS THE $300 runs out because Yelp will NOT give you any update on how the ads are performing or when to expect a bill or a chance to opt out.

Wish I could give them 0 stars because that's how many new clients I got from this.
They talked me into 3 months for $335 per month promising to get me more than enough new clients to make my money back. The only calls I've gotten from people seeing me on yelp have been from advertising companies wanting to get more money out of me.

New age PONZI scheme
January 8, 2018

I was contacted by an "Account executive" by the name of Natalie arana who instantly babbled so much at me, i should've known at that point to end the call. Well i didn't, as a result of that, i bought into an over embellished fraudulent product that serves me no benefit whatsoever. I knew countless things were wrong when i noticed patterns of the "activity" on my account were questionable. I reached out to this young lady via e-mail and phone about my concerns regarding fraudulent ad clicks in an attempt to steal from small business's. Roughly 2 hrs from me sending her a detailed e-mail about my concerns, she finally reaches out to me, in sort of a mocking rude way. That she would have an "Account manager" reach out to me regarding my concerns. I replied simply, "but arent you an account manager as well"? She replied, they handle specific questions regarding account activity. And that she will forward my concerns to them and that they would call me. Its been end of day and havent heard anything back regarding this. I would like to cancel service but cant even do that because they're trying to hold off until my first payment goes through. They're modern day ponzi schemers who seem to be untouchable. What entity would allow another entity to defraud hard working citizens who contribute to society and not only contribute but make it better and to help it thrive? Its pathetic and disgusting to say the least. To make matters worse i cant get my business to get off this site to save my life. I almost am interested in recreating my brand entirely to not have these people apart of my business in anyway.

If you are in real estate don't get taken by Taylor Ray with Yelp. He'll tell you anything to get you to sign up. He told me that the clicks were an average of $8 ea and I had a $475.00 ad budget (plus another $125 in junk fees - call routing etc...) which I thought would allow me a large amount of clicks and potential clients for the money. In reality, it started at about $17 per click which I immediately called him about and wanted to opt out but he relentlessly encouraged me to continue saying I hadn't given it enough time and that it would get better. It only got worse climbing up to $28-$33 per click (even he was shocked!). But still telling me to hang in there and that it would improve. Nothing but BS! After the 2nd month I had enough and would not listen to him any longer and said I want out and not changing my mind! They require another 30 days of paying these ridiculous rates before they will stop the program. All in all, I have spent roughly $2,000 and got absolutely nothing! Not a single call, email or anything from a potential client. Just a bunch of BS! They also say that they have an early termination fee of $700 which they politely waived. My thoughts on that are that it is just a fake fee to make them look good when someone wants out-so they waive it! Big deal!
I was very clear with Taylor when I signed up that I didn't want just empty exposure with no ROI and he assured me that wouldn't be the case. In his words..."you're gonna do great!" He just lies to suck you in and then you're forced to pay the enormous fees. Don't believe a word he says... ever! Yelp is a bold faced lie for any industry. They will not do what their salespeople say they do. All that matters is what's printed in the contract which is very vague. STAY AWAY! If I could rate it a -5 stars I would do it!

I received an email to claim $300 in credit to try Yelp out. I entered the promotional code, and that was the end of that. I never received any leads, and I never heard back from Yelp.

3 months later, they've charged my account $900. I NEVER agreed to the charges and never wanted the service. They never sent me an invoice or a paid receipt. They just started taking money out of my account under my nose.

I've emailed demanding my money back. From the many negative reviews with the same problem, it appears I'm not alone in this scam.
