The sales rep was a total liar. They told my minor son that because it was the end of the month his bill would not exceed $28 to try out the marketing service. Of course, we were charged well over $100 for a few days. Don't do it!

They quoted me a price of $199 per month and billed me for more than double that. After I cancelled the ads, I caught them trying to bill me for $130 after I had been cancelled for over a month. They also took down my positive reviews. They are crooked. Do not use them. They also offer a $300 credit for signing up. You will never get that. What they do is criminal.

L.G.I. Builders hired Environmental Land Services to clear a property next to a tree filled lot I own, during the clearing of this lot,4 of my giant pine tree's were removed more than 8 feet on my lot.The settlement they offered was 4 small pine trees. My counter offer was replace with same size or compensate me for the hole in my tree line.I was cussed at by Environmental Land Services, and told no way.

Yes they promote your business with ads that you create but they lie about costs to get you to sign up and then continue to state that you have to pay the full amount as they won't issue refunds. I was very tentative from the beginning and told the person I wasn't interested in spending money. She stated that I would only start paying once I got a steady flow of customers and that it would be a small fee once a week. They charged me $15 dollars daily! And didn't notice me until I had over 300 in fees to pay. I was misinformed in order to apply for a service I didn't want or need.

Can I gave a zero star? They have taken my money and did not fulfil their promises and when i called about it, they wouldn't listen. They only spoke over me and hung up. The owner needs to set an example of morals and respect and teach it to the workers. I am concerned it may be coming down from the top.

I've had 4 ligament clients review me on yelp and their software has called all four of them fake, these are customers that live right here in my hometown and they all had my area code yet Yelp is saying that they came from out of state numbers and and they were solicited. Some guy with a California area code reviews me and gives me two star rating and that review was called real. He said I only responded with automated text messages and I don't have automated messages set up. I personally answer all emails and texts. 90%of the customers that call me from my Yelp page are from out of state numbers wanting me to do there jobs but they are out of town right now and they will mail me a check. I fell for this once and had them send a check and the check was fake. Yelp has kill any chance I did have of getting future business from my Yelp page and it just makes me look bad when people look at my page and this costs me money. They call me several times a week trying to get me to spend money with them and advertise on Yelp. I've told them my situation and not to call anymore yet they persist. I wish I had looked at their ratings before I set up my page, they have a 1.9 rating and there is definitely a reason for such a low rating. Don't set up a Yelp for business page, it will only cost you money in the end.

Yelp is the absolute worst service to pay for leads. They will charge you $15 for one or 1.5 leads per day if you are lucky and this doesn't equal sales. Business owners drive more traffic on Facebook, tiktok and Instagram for free. I asked for a $300 per month and in a month and a half my bill was $855. Most expensive clicks I've ever seen in 8 years. Long wait times for customer service. Waiting more than an hour on hold.

Sales pitch led me to believe I would be getting $1200 free ads - well that's on top of the $787/mo I was billed. I wasn't expecting that. By the time my first bill showed up on my card and I shut it down, I had another $810 due. When I called to dispute the charge with Yelp, I was told that the $1200 was free additional advertising on top of what I spent out of pocket over 3 months. Yelp has shady sales tactics and misleading when my sales consultant walked me through setting everything up. Avoid unless everything you are getting is crystal clear.

Yelp business services
March 22, 2023

I received a 300.00 credit from Capital One when making an online purchase and I contacted Yelp to see if they could help me grow my business. I spoke to Billy, and he told me all the bells and whistles and had me lookup other businesses he helped and wanted to help me start, and I told him I was going to speak to my other half to see if this was something worth doing and to not charge my card. I told him I wanted to use the credit to see if I received anything to help me and to call me back (this was in Feb 2023. When he called me I told him I was not interested and to cancel my account and instead they charged me 136.00 and 46.76 and I disputed with my bank and my money was reversed. Now I am receiving emails saying my refund is not warranted and they are saying that I only spoke to Billy, to cancel and ask for help to cancel on the website which was hard for me to cancel myself because I am not that tech savvy. I know they record their phone calls and I cannot seem to end this nightmare. I received emails from Yelp, a Gabriela sent and I will go ahead and upload screenshots as well.

I have gone in circles with them trying to get my money back from the run over of the ads credit. $140 and it would have been more if I didn't check my account. They refuse to refund saying its our error. I spoke with Denae in costumer service and she basically blamed me for not keeping up on the account-- even though I expressed I didn't have any warning or notification they would start charging my card. There's nowhere to review on yelp so I found this platform. Hopefully business owners see this before falling for the "free ads" scam!

I had started a trial of Yelp for Business and according to Yelp stats I had 8.8k page impressions, 64-page visits, and 11 leads generated from their platform. According to my back-end statistics, there was not a single event tracked from Yelp to my website nor did I get any leads from them either. I contacted support because they billed me over $150 for this and was told by them that their numbers are based on yelp views and clicking on their site nothing else. They refused to refund any of my charges and the customer support is crap.

Yelp Ads are utterly worthless. The problem is that their keyword filters do nothing to keep service seekers looking for other things from clicking on your ad instead. In my case I place an ad with them for several months hoping to get prospects seeking the services of a tax attorney. I selected the right keywords from their very limited keyword menu, and also selected the correct filters to keep people looking for tax return preparation from clicking on my ad. The filter did not work at all. The only contacts I ended up getting were from people looking to get H&R Block tax returns completed! And even on those contacts I could not even get these people on the phone. This was the most disappointing experience I have ever had in placing an ad. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this company.

Scammers
March 10, 2023

I signed with Yelp Biz on 12/04/2022. On 1/18/2023, I contacted Yelp to cancel my account due to unsatisfaction. Brandon from Yelp did not cancel my account. I received e-mails from Yelp on 2/01 and 3/01/2023 asking me $300.00 monthly.
On 3/03/2023, I contacted Yelp via phone due to these emails and to confirm that my account was closed as I requested. Yelp representative stated that they don't have record of my account being closed and that I owed $600.00. My account will be sent to collections if I don't pay!
I contacted Yelp again on 3/09/2023, the representative stated that Brandon and Emily during my calls walked me through the cancellation of my account and that I did not cancel it. This is a lie!
If both would have walked me through cancel my account, it would have been cancelled.
I already paid $108.73 on 12/22 and $149.00 on 1/2023. Yelp representatives lie about what have transpired during customer phone calls and don't help their customers. It's not worth it to do business with them!

Stay away from yelp for business
March 7, 2023

I tried yelp business for my art classes and art gallery. I paid over 200 for upgrades only to find out that that my reviews were all not listed on my site.
When I called for help I was put on long hold and one day I was told all computers were down and they couldn't assist me. I feel that yelp for business is a total scam. The representative I finally got in touch with was rude and I could hear her doing dishes and other things when I was speaking to her.
I don't recommend wasting your money especially if you are a small business like me. Organic word of mouth advertising has worked best with me.

Yelp is a complet scam for businesses. They choose which reviews they want to post with no rhyme or reason. We have actual customers post reviews for our company only to have them taken down, and it always happens to be the good reviews. If the reviewer isn't someone who posts a lot of reviews, that review gets taken down which doesn't make any sense. Then they say if you pay them that they will help you get reviews and leads for your business. But then you get questions from obviously fake accounts and leads that have nothing to do with your business. Such a waste of money, do not buy into it!

Writing a Blank Check
February 21, 2023

Like many new businesses, I was convinced that Yelp would be the answer for getting new clients to use my services. I signed on early December 2022. I received my first bill payment (automatic) and noticed it was for $535, but I already paid $272 and $17. I received one job lead from them, which made $150 total. So once I realized that it was not worth using their services, I cancelled Jan 19th. Then I got a final bill of $625 due. This was for only 19 days of services that netted ZERO job leads. What a joke, I ended up settling for 30% less because I pay my debts but still $435 for nothing gained in return. I paid $1239 total with only a $150 return. That is only a 12% Return on Investment. I was promised much better. I literally wrote a blank check. I definitely do not recommend their services or any other lead generating services.
