I was misled on the free advertising – tried to cancel, but was told to give it more time and that I would not be billed next until November 1st. On Saturday 10/22 I was charged $100.84 and when I tried to cancel the voicemail stated that you were closed and that I would have to wait until Monday to reach customer service – but when I called Monday 10/24/2022 they stated that I would have had to call the day I cancelled (which was a Saturday) and that they would not refund me. I am so upset that the lady I spoke to less than I week ago said "no worries" – I should be refunded in full

Faithful Advertiser No More!
October 24, 2022

I have been a faithful advertiser on yelp since 2020, I ask several clients who we did/do business to give us an honest review of our services. Over the last 3 years Yelp has refuse to allow any of our good reviews on to the site and the one bad review we got from a client we turned down; they immediately posted that one. Yelp says "don't ask for reviews" this is the exact opposite of Business 101, the number one thing all businesses do and should always do, is ask for a referral. What is a review nothing more than a referral. So, my days of spending my hard earn advertising dollars at Yelp are over. Yes, they are a $2.65 Billion dollar company and don't need my little ad dollars. To that all I will say is two words. BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO!

What a daunting experience in every sense of the word. I was introduced to this through professional Con artists, using full upscale online advertisement for Avis Car Rental. It was excellent in its presentation, I requested documentation before paying. I received this in minutes. This was a special promotion with Avis and A. E. Serve. Offering a discount of 40% for the rental. To get this you have to load A. E. Serve cardl with cash $160 for Rental. $300 for security refundable on returning the car. Fully loaded with the cash it was not acceptable. Avis now had the critical info of the card. I rush with card to transfer the funds into my Bank account. Bank will not accept this even Though I have been a customer for many years. I go to second bank and get the same reply. Very concernedI I contact A. E. Serve security, they reply register this card with us for protection of funds. I tried many times to register this, each time I had to expose my vital information on their applications. I Contact their security people on a number of times, they could not help me to register to secure my money. The bottom Lionel was to go spend this money on something, before the Con men get it, Not only was this absurd, the time and stress was to terrible.
Never ever again American Express your problems proceed you.

My restaurant was temporally closed for construction in March of 2022. We do have a Yelp page, we did our best with content and always had good reviews, but we have never had much of a budget for online ads. Because we haven't paid for ads the account wasn't set up for ads, so I was confused when in July I received a bill from yelp for several hundred dollars, especially since we were at that time still dealing with construction. Turns out it wasn't for the official page we have, but another page, one with no photos, no content, obviously no reviews and my personal cell phone number as the contact. So either someone hacked my Chrome account or unlawfully used a computer at our business to set up a "Self directed" ad campaign onbiz.yelp.com. When I spoke with my CC company they immediately called it for what it was, fraud, and issued a refund for the charges. No worries, so I chalked it up to people being awful and changed the login for all of computers and called it a done deal. NOPE... Yelp is to this day threating me with legal action and credit reporting for the total balance. After speaking with over a dozen people, 50+ emails, they admit that there are two accounts and that it doesn't make since, but they DO NOT CARE. They say its all outlined in their Terms of Use that "self directed ads" are not refunded base on content, and that it was my fault their wasn't content on the page the ads ran for. This after admitting that there were duplicate pages for the same property but different contact information and obviously no content. I know its my computer and my fault if someone hacked it, but they make their money by allowing others to scrutinize small businesses, yet we have no way of giving it back when we have been wronged. At our restaurant if someone were to put an item on another persons tab we 1000% will remove the purchase, no matter the cost to us. Small business owners do this all the time, and not because of reviews but because its good business and the right thing to do. What they are doing may not be illegal, but its wrong.

Matty Cattery is a Scam Breeder. They go as far as send a bill of sale. Contracts etc. They said the kitten Main Coon would be in transit and that's when the real scamming begins. Not only paid for a cat and a crate and starts lieing with the logistics. Carrier started asking for 1500. 00 for ins. Bam! Being a carrier myself for over 30 years and realized that they are a fake company and they are not legit. The logistics were all lies and incorrect and they said this was airfreight and I AM an airfreight and OTR carrier. When I called them out and asked them licensing and there MC#. They said the can send all that information later. Which should be on all documentation. They would not even give me corporate. Information. I contacted the breeder again whom they said they have been working for years. After constant questioning went silent. I have all proof of this issue to be real.
Visit Our Website... https://primecargoforstates.com/. This not a real carrier and so isn't the breeder Matty Cattery. They said they were based in VA. Liars and scammers. Beware!

Yelp billed me $1,000 after getting my credit card info to redeem $300 free ad credit. I never made an Ad or uploaded a picture to the Ad, never wanted an Ad, and yelp also added an additional $120 a month service upgrade that I never agreed to. I only wanted to get listed on yelp and redeem the Ad credit. User Interface is purposely deceitful to trick business owners. Did not get any actual leads for the $1,000 and the unexpected bill has put me out of business

Yelp Biz is the most pointless app to be on as a business. After trying to have a false review removed they refused, the same person tried to leave the same review on Google and we were able to get in removed in minutes.

Unauthorized charge
August 30, 2022

In May of 2022 we opened a yelp account & that same day we called & went on the app and canceled it. It turns out that a few days later I had to call to cancel it again because they never closed it. Fast forward 3 months later, August 29 I get charged $155. When I called I was informed that we had opened up a free trial & that it had expired & that we didn't cancel. I told her, Emily, that we had not opened up or renewed any membership. She kept saying that we did. So when I told her that our card number shouldn't have been on file since May, she said it was kept on there to give us a refund in May but they didn't remove it and refuse to remove it from their system. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she refused and said she's the one that can my the decision of giving me a refund for the $155 and that she wasn't going to because she kept claiming that we had reactivated our membership, which is a lie. People like Emily shouldn't be working customer service. Poor service and bad attitude. Yelp is basically stealing $155 from us. Why would I renew our membership if I canceled in the first place back in May? My wife also called and received the same bad service from Yudelka.

I had $153 taken from my account after only having the page for 4 days. I was told I would have $900 in credit before I was charged. I did not receive a proper bill, notification or explanation of what I consumed. The sales rep was a pushy and made big offers that did not end up on my account. I have been trying to get my money back but service is a sham. I was emailed a form and told to wait 7-10 for their reasponse. I have been calling and a vortex of waiting and forms. I cant with them anymore, which is what their service is, wear them down until they go away. But boy, they stalk you until they can speak to you and sell you lies. I will not ever use them as a consumer to search for businesses and leave reviews. I will remove the app. And continue to share my horror story at their blatant theft.

SCAM
August 9, 2022

Our Google has almost 2,000 reviews and average 4.4 stars. Yelp has 32 reviews and at a 1.5 star rating. Only the negative ones appear on the heading and not one positive. Apparently if you sign up with them, they will rotate the reviews, if not then what is shown stays. They cannot email or send any pricing information, all over the phone. If this is not a SCAM, I don't know what is.

Just like every other review here! I was also persuaded in to their Yelp Ads with $900 worth of "Ad Credits". So far we have got ZERO business out of this add campaign even though we have spend $1088 over 4 weeks. Not that was enough every review that our business has gotten became "unrecommended" by YELP. This is all a total joke, I should have looked up these reviews before signing up.

I just got scammed the same as others. The complicated billing and payment scheduling should be unlawful. I'm glad I got out when I did. Since May 23rd, 2022 my start date to July 6,2022 I suffered a loss of $866.68. Not what I agreed to, not my understanding of our agreement. I agreed to pay $150 per month for 3 months as a trial. There was some upgrade trick, where right now today they are offering $300.00 in this credit in the price per click category, which you never get. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Sorry for the bad grammar, run on sentences and lack of appropriate punctuation. But I think you get it.

Yelp scammed Me
August 2, 2022

Hello, I canceled services on June 9th. Yesterdays date was august 1st. I have recieved a charge to my card for $461.00 causing my card to decline and for me to get an overdraft. I was unable to fill my car up at the gas station due to this rogue charge. I spoke to several reps about this charge and I was talked to in circles. All telling me that I could not speak with a manager. The sales rep that put me onto this plan told me it was $300 with a $100 promotion. NOT $461.00. I am 18 years old barely getting buy. Living Job to Job trying to make a living and start up a company with what little resources I have money not being one of them. I realized $300 was over my head. After several $360 charges to my card I called Jessica K a "Customer Success manager" Whom told me how to go about canceling my account. She explicitly told me my cad will no longer be charged. NOT MY CHARGES WOULD ROLL OVER. This is fraud. To someone who looked to you guys to help him get his business running with barely anything. If I am not credited my money back I will look to pursue legally. Your company makes billions. You scammed me of my money without my consent. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau. I will report this charge to my bank as fraudulent. I will also contact my attorney! Please save me the stress and refund me my hard earned money. Thank you and I look forward to hearing what the next steps are to get my money back.

Jessica Miller called me several times over a span of two weeks offering a limited time $300 in advertising credits if I signed up on time. I missed the deadline and she claimed to have a code for $900 advertising credit which is supposed to help small businesses. She stated a card would have to be on file in order for her to set up my profile. She reassured me the card would not be charged, that the credits would allow me to see if ads would work for my company and I could cancel anytime. After a month I was contacted by my bank for suspicious activity, Yelp attempted to charge $390! I called Jessica right away but the calls were not going through. I called the billing department and ask them to explain whats going on. I was told in a very rude manner "well when did you expect to pay?" "you committed to $500 ad campaign by selecting this in your profile" WRONG! I did no such thing, in fact the app was not easy to navigate. It was hard to see what was selected and what was activated by the rep. I would not have committed to paying for something when I was told I had $900 in advertising credits. I would have at least waited until the credits ran out or expired. I eventually managed to get through to Jessica yesterday and she said she would resolve this after she had met with her manager. I heard nothing back, her number doesn't seem to be working and the other reps I spoke to place me on hold and then hang up. Some refuse to disclose their name, stating "I'm not at liberty to share that information with you" Very shady business practice. BTW the ads will only get cold callers reaching out to you.

DO NOT TAKE THE CALL- YELP FOR BIZ
August 2, 2022

I was contacted by Jason Thibeaux (Elite Account Director, Yelp Inc. | P: *******805) he kept calling me back trying to get me to join Yelp for Biz. I was always busy and wasn't interested as I already have a lot of traffic in my shop. Well, he promised a trial run, I wouldn't be charged there was no fee, it was based off performance. I wasn't fully convinced, but he promised me I would see results, I decided to do the trial run for all I was promised, Jason asked for my credit card information cause it needed to be on file to start the account. I was told I could cancel if it didn't work out for me. I was promised a credit to try Yelp For Biz: I was immediately charged $46 right after he told me there was no fee. This was in the middle of the week, by Monday I was already charged $111.36 I called Jason back and I asked him why I was being charged already that's not what he told me would happen. The guy is a liar, just as this company they are no different than the Nigerian scammers that call everyday.
I do not recommend. I wish we could do something about it, there has to be some kind of lawsuit that needs to be filed against them after reading all these complaints. I requested a refund and I was told someone would look in to it.
There's no supervisors or legitimate department to file a complaint. Be careful

YELP SALES GUY:" we will issue you $300 worth of free ads. "

Me: "Will the ads stopped running after I've used up the FRE $300 credit?
SALES GUY: "Yeah it will stop once it runs out"

1 month later---

Me: I open my YELP business dashbaord BY CHANCE and finds i've been $156+. I was like, wtf? I got no calls, no nothing from yelp. I call customer service and finally some lady answers with a loud TV in the background (lolz. No joke.) Nothing she could do about the refund (no point of arguing with her. But I had to tell her to tell their "SALES GUY" to not promise them that the ads will stop once the $300 runs out). So she tells me to fill out a form and wait 10 days.

-- 10 days later

I get an email from "BRANDON" saying

"My name is Brandon and I am part of the Yelp Payment Inquiry Team. We have reached a determination regarding a refund request submitted for the accrued charges on your Yelp for Business Owners account (biz.yelp.com).

After further investigation on your account, we've determined a refund is not warranted at this time. We appreciate your patience in waiting for a decision.

We will not be issuing a refund for services delivered as these programs are self-managed and numerous resources are made available regarding the products purchased as well as the ability to stop services at any time within your Yelp for Business Owner's Account.

If you have any further questions in regards to the advertising campaign, please respond to this email.

Salesperson called me to offer $900 on credits. Did not tell me how much I would be charged. Had my put in credit card and said the first two months would be free and third month $150. Lo and behold they are putting all my reviews on not recommended, getting no leads, not working. So i call and they try to sell me more and say I'm currently on a $900/month plan and with the $900 credit it will be $600+/per month. Wtf I would have NEVER signed up for that. I'm a brand new business $600 is a whole week of profit for me and I am busting my butt to earn that. I called my bank and my banker said "you have an LLC come to the bank and cancel that debit and get a new one, they won't be able to do an automatic withdrawal. When they send the bill bring it to me." Lucky for me my banker also hates scammers.

I can't stand Yelp. They are the worst. They call almost everyday to have you sign up for there service. Literally for the past three years they called almost everyday. They don't have a DNC list. Then i finally try out their service for one month and of course it does nothing. I wasted my money on ads and highlighting my business for one month. I thought i had signed up for a monthly service because they don't inform you it is a year subscription to highlight more info about your business. Now they won't cancel my account and they say i owe till the end of the year paying for a service that produces ZERO RESULTS. Then they offered FREE ads for the inconvenience this has caused me. I receive ZERO LEADS FROM RUNNING ADS and then the next months BILL IS DOUBLE because they charge you a monthly fee To run ads even when you're not actively running ads (TOTAL BULL$#*!) On top of this dumpster fire of a company, They prize themselves on being a Review based business yet NONE of MY 30,5 STAR REVIEWS SHOW UP ON EITHER BUSINESS PAGE! DO NOT EVER PAY FOR THEIR SERVICE! #CANCELYELP
