Goods were to be sent in 5 to 7 days a month later no goods.
Customer service advised goods would be sent ASAP, this did not happen.
Finally asked for refund took 5 emails before I got a reply.
Did finally get refund.

Avoid this company

My last review of this company was for the most part good, but I have had a recent experience with this company that has changed my mind about there business practices. I recently purchased a Buy it Now item and I have emailed this company 4 times and phoned this company once and have yet to receive any form of communication other then the standard "will respond in 1-2 business days". I purchased the item in good faith and that I would have the item in time for a birthday gift. Bidz promised 5 to 7 days shipping time and when last checked- more then 15 days have passed and the order is still open. All attempts at communication have failed. Is this company going the way of the previous company did? Chapter 7?.
My advise is to avoid this company as I have a very bad feeling about this company's future. I have probably lost $520.00 Canadian and that is a hard lesson to learn.

(1) Bidz sells cheap items... even its so-called brand-name items are mostly made in China and India... yes, China & India, where low wages / cheap labour and nasty/dirty/filthy/unhealthy working conditions and sweat shops (illegal in the USA) are pervasive (no unions employees)...
(2) When was the last time you saw an item on Bidz "Made in USA"?
(3) There is a nation-wide grass-roots movement that has a BOYCOTT against Bidz in place...
(4) ACCORDING to FORMER and disgruntled employees now posting on Facebook, Twitter, and on Internet complaints forums:
(a) from its founding to 2014, Bidz had low prices... since coming out of bankruptcy, in 2014, it has jacked up RETAIL prices on EVERYTHING, every single item, by at least 100% (compared to claimed retail prices for similar items offered between 2004 to 2010)... so bidders should NOT bid more than 5% of the stated retail price of the item... if you win, great, if no one bids the bidding is closed, and if items do not sell and this situation becomes pervasive then Bidz ends up AGAIN and for the final time in bankruptcy... good riddance...
(b) since its founding, running thru even today, non-brand name items have been 50% of the time FAKE gold / fake precious metal (electroplated tin) and FAKE stones (cheap crystals or simple glass)

I CAN VOUCH FOR THIS (B), because I was bidding off n on between 2005 to 2013 and I received several fake products during this period which I then returned to Bidz after a long-time jeweller friend at a jewelry store inspected my purchased items and found HALF the purchased items as FAKE... I was not surprised at the bankruptcy, I was surprised about coming out of bankruptcy by Bidz, but since then I have never bid at that site.

Poor service
January 4, 2016

I waited almost a month to get my item. Over and over I was told it should be here. I finally received the item, but was so mad I sent it back following their instructions to the letter. After ten days they said they received it and I should have my refund within five days. Duh, no refund. If it does not show up in my account in the next few days EVERYBODY on Facebook will know. I am a newly retired teacher and it will go all over the country!

Bought from Bidz a few times and brought some recent purchases to my jeweller who shook his head once he tested the diamonds and told me they were paste not diamonds. Very poor for a company that states falsely that they are diamonds.

STAY CLEAR

It is fake. I bought a GrandMaster watch from you and it was junk, I have a very reputable jeweller who tested all in front of me and told me it was a fake watch and further more your gems are not real.

Not so great

Cute stuff. But mine arrived damaged. But no returns. Wow. How do you live with a scissor cut about 3 inches long, not on the seam. Its just a loss. But no returns. So buyer beware!

I used to buy from bids.com and buy.com a lot, but since they were out of business and back, their closing bids got so high, can't seem to win anything again. I don't know if ito new owners now but before was better, had more varieties at first too

I'll share my experience...
I have ordered and received one ring from bidz.com. I waited nearly 2 months for this product. This was over a year ago. In MY opinion the product looks good and legit.
I am currently waiting on another item from Bidz.com right now with their "new" site. I hope it actually is shipped and received in a timely matter. I have just learned that my credit card has been charge more than what I agreed to pay prior to entering my credit card information for this recent order. (agreed to pay for all the tax, bidding fee, S&H etc. But have still been charged more than the added total)
I am currently waiting on a response from a representative...
Anyways. Once I receive my new ring I am going to have them tested at my local goldsmith for authenticity of the gold rings, and the results will determine whether I use bidz.com again or not. The results of the gold test and opinion from the goldsmith will be my real conclusion. I am not really impressed so far though due to the fact that my credit card has been charged extra without permission, this is an extremely crooked act. I need explanation to determine whether I use them again, and tell my friends and family about them too. I will definitely use a pre-paid credit card if I ever use them again. Use with Caution. (I was charged about 40 extra dollars if you; re wondering.)

Purchased an item way back in the beginning of May and it has finally arrived. Took the item to 3 different gem valuation companies and they all have said that the item is not genuine and have branded it a fake item. It was brought to my attention that Bidz.com and the Gem valuer acting as 'Independent gemological laboratories Los Angeles' are one in the same and conduct fake online auctions to con people out of cash. The valuation certificate is a fake and to count my losses. I will never deal with this company again.

The new Bidz.com is poor in the shipment department. My order status had not been updated after 5 or 6 days, (not like the old Bidz) so I started calling Bidz to see what was going on with my orders. Each time I called customer service I got the same person, when I called the billing, I got the customer service person from before. Then finally the office manager got on the phone and was upset with me! After about 3 weeks, I finally received some of my orders but not all of them. Still waiting for an updated status on the remaining orders, but this is it for me.

You have mentioned that your order has not been updated for 5-6 days which at old Bidz was not the case. The reason for that is, at new Bidz.com we have a lot of virtual inventory. Which essentially means that once you place an order with us, we place an order with the vendor and it takes x amount of weeks for the vendor to custom make the item for you. The number of weeks it takes for the item to be made depends on the vendor. Information regarding how long it will take for us to have the item, is disclosed to you upfront even before you make the purchase. Also, at the checkout before you submit the payment we have a second discloser in case you missed the first one before bidding. Its highlighted for you that it will take certain amount of weeks for the item to be shipped to you.

Costumer rep contacted me after I asked where my stuff is telling me they need the sizing for a ring that I'd bought ( lies)

Before Bidz went bankrupt they had great product, it arrived quickly and the selection was great. Now that it's a "new company" with new suppliers it's gone to crap. I purchased a watch from them in the beginning of March and according to their website (and it was true before) the item would ship within 3-5 business days and if you had any problems you emailed them and they worked with you. My item is still not here (I ordered items from China the week after I ordered from Bidz and it already got here!) and they finally sent me an email saying it's been shipped. Apparently you have 48 hours after the estimated delivery date or it's considered delivered and okay (ridiculous!) when I went to check the tracking and delivery date info the link came up as a fake link. I called their customer service, the lady was pleasant but of zero help. Buyers beware! I emailed them and told them that I would want a refund if they don't reply within 48 hours (I think that's fair)

48 hours after estimated delivery date we do not consider the item delivered, but we ask the customer to contact us if the item has not been delivered. The reason for that is that sometimes the carrier would be delivering the merchandise late due to unforeseen delays like weather, customs (international customers) etc. Before we file a claim for a possible lost package, we ask the customer to wait for 48 hours after the estimated delivery date in case it is delivered late by the carrier. In any event, all of out packages are fully insured. In case the package is lost, customer is never held liable for it. We issue a full refund or send a replacement item if available.

The tracking numbers we provide to our customers are always real tracking numbers. However, if your order is shipped recently and you are attempting to track it, the information would not show up. The reason for this is that carrier once the package is picked up, updates tracking progress only after couple business days has passed. Anytime you try to track the order too early it will not show any information.

Bidz.com dont even worth 1 star. They would say win items will be shipped in 2-4 days or 4-6 days... false... liar. I placed an order about 4 weeks ago and my account still remained "pulling merchandise". Called them and was told that the item was no longer available. Then why did you allowed the bids and why did you take my money? Demand a refund ASAP... The other item was just shipped today while the order was placed 5 weeks ago. If you dont want to deal with nonsense stresses, dont even bother with bidz.com

Best Bet is to stay away from Bidz.com
***A lot of their fine jewelry is actually from China. If you get a piece from China, chances are the stones are fake and the gold may be just triple plated. Chinese sellers use these auction sites to sell their jewelry.
***Some of the "Brand Name" watches they sell are brands created for auction sites like this and the only value it has is what you paid for it. Ebay is the only place where you will find a lot of their "Name Brand" watches and jewelry. You will never find them in a real jewelry store.
***Prices are inflated. Actual value of the item is usually 10-15% of what they say its worth.
***The pictures on Bidz look great but chances are your jewelry or watch wont look as good.
***If you purchase a watch or piece of jewelry from Bidz and it looks like it has been used, chances are the watch or jewelry was a return item and placed back in the auction.

If anyone is having problems with their orders being shipped Bidz actually has nothing to do with it, it is in fact the shipping companies causing difficulties.
My package has been held back for over a month by the shipping company for no apparent reason.

I too have purchased a very large amount of outstanding beautiful authentic jewlery etc from Bidz.com over the last 6 months and within the last 1-2 months when trying to pull up the site at first said remodelling be patient any items still on layaway will be honoured and could still reach company employees regarding questions or concerns through there email address. However now I can't seem to pull the site up at all and a lot of the items came with warranties. Is there anyone out there no what is happening for if they just shut everything down.

I have been a bidz customer for 8 years I have purchased 28 items of high end diamond designer jewellery mainly salavetti, rosato, falcinelli, staurino fratelli, so many thousands of pounds spent as based in the uk. All my jewellery has been valued at least 10 times more than I paid one salavetti cross 5 carats f vs1. Paid 2,200 dollars 7 years ago had it valued 3 month ago £45,000. So happy with everything. But 1 week ago I bought a falcinelli 2 carat diamond pendant off them. Bidz has now closed, buyz there other website shut down, vividgems another one of there businesses all jewellery removed. So now worried I wont get my pendant and lost my money. Only good thing is they have e mailed straight away to say dont worry I will get my pendant..

I have been a customer of Bidz.com for 8 months now. I was never disappointed with the quality of the items I received, although it is true I have not had them appraised. I agree though that the prizes are ridiculously inflated. My rule of thumb: I will not buy if the price is more than 10 to 15% of the advertized original price. One time, I never received my purchases. I had to email a few times before the items were 'declared lost', but on the whole, I was satisfied with the service. My issues are twofold: twice I needed to email them to inquire about the unusual delays in filling the order before shipping the items. In both cases, one simple email prompted them to expedite my order. The other issue is with the shipping. As I live in Canada, I do expect some delays, however, 3 weeks do not seem reasonable to me. I know they are now using another deliver service. Let us hope it is faster.
