Stinks. As a vendor, (the other side), The reason why ALL your orders are late is because they place the order AFTER they made the sale to us, and THAT's such a bad business model. This is the same thing with Zulily as well. I can't speak of other bargain discount sites, but Zulily and Totsy are similar, bad customer service, at least one month shipping wait because you have to wait for the products to arrive at from our warehouse to theirs, then they fulfill it. They don't even pay the vendors until 30 days after the order. Also, they charge back for everything we might have missed. This kind of business model really stinks and it's a lose/lose for everyone except for Totsy & Zulily that might have a fat wallet for a little bit, but it will catch on. That's what you get from a Bargain site. NO way around it, you get what you pay for: bad service, shoddy products, and bad customer service=headaches. I will never do business with them again as a vendor & customer.
They Got Me To The Site With A Coupon Code That Didn't Work. I Tried It Several Times. When I Contacted Customer Service They Sent Me An Irrelevant Email That Had No Bearing On The Issue. The Auctions On This Site Are Shady Anyway. They Are Running A Reserve Scam In Which You Think You Get A Reasonable Deal, Then You Find Out The Reserve Was Not Met And Are Inundated With Offers For The Item You "Won" At Retail Prices.
Ordered from Totsy.com. It did take nearly a month to receive the items but not a problem as they were bathing suits for the summer. However, I only received 2 of the 3 items I ordered. I was informed that one was not available and I would receive a refund for the unavailable item That was on February 22,2012. Five contacts later and March 15,2012 I still have not received my refund. Called on Tuesday and they had no record that I was supposed to receive on despite an email sent from Totsy.com on February, 25th stating they would refund me within 5 business days. She said she would rerun it and I would receive the refund within 24 hours. More than 48 hours later, still no refund. Be vary wary when dealing with Totsy.com. Know that if the item is not available, you may still be charged and never refunded. I will not order from them again and have advised against to all friends and family.
I will not recommend this website to anyone. Over a month that I placed an order and still have not received the item. When I order something a pay for it right away, so expect the items to be shipped in a reasonable amount of time, but a month? Will never order from this website ever again. Stay away no matter how tempting their "deals" are.
I am just warning people that if you want to receive your order in a timely fashion (before your kid grows out of that size) and if you want to get a response from their customer service department (which I'm fairly certain is made up of one person) then I wouldn't purchase ANYTHING from Totsy. This is the second time I've had an issue with them. The only way to get a response out of them is to post on their facebook page... and then they get pissed and ask you to contact CS not on facebook. Well if they answered my emails or followed through on their "one day shipping" (not three months later) promise, then maybe I wouldn't be forced to contact them via facebook. My issues with them are too numerous to count. I'm just warning you... go to Zulily.com or Hautelook.com or RueLaLa.com... those sites are much more reliable!
Fraudulent company! Beware! Never received items ordered last year! But my credit card was charged.
If you dare to call Totsy, you will be on hold for at LEAST 30 minutes. If you dare to email them, think again. If you think you will get your order on time or in a timely manner don't kid yourself. I will never order from this company again.
Well... you get the good and the bad. Their prices are great, but expect to wait a LONG time for the shipment and customer service... well, you have to keep emailing them, BUT you will get quality items for a cheap price. :)
This site is a bunch of con artists. We ordered 2 pairs of shoes on Nov 5th. We were charged for both, but on Dec 20th one pair arrived. We emailed the site to see what was going on. They didn't respond. We sent a 2nd email, they responded the next day said they'd give us a $5 credit and refund the shoes that were not sent because they didn't have them in stock. A little confused we decided to use the credit and try to get the 2nd pair through them. We still don't have our refund and lo and behold the 2nd pair we ordered is suddenly not in stock as well and that order was cancelled. Luckily they didn't charge us for the 2nd order, yet we are still waiting for that 1st refund. The saga continues...
I had a very positive Totsy experience. I got a pair of booties for me, a cookie monster book and a cute sweater for my daughter, and a grilling cook book for my husband all for $30 (with shipping). My order arrived a week ahead of their estimate and arrived correctly. Maybe I was lucky, who knows... but I at least wanted to say that they don't screw everything up.
I love the website! It's always fun to look at and I shop often. I have only ordered a few times with them, but I have had good experiences so far. Yes, they are a little sluggish on shipping and I wish it was faster. When my products came though, I was very pleasantly surprised! My jackets were great! I just received a purse that I was hesitant about because it's always tough ordering online, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new purse! I totally recommend this website, just don't order something if you need it in a rush.

I purchased a retro tri-cycle for my 2 year old son for Christmas. I had just moved to Omaha, NE and was in the process of closing on a house, so I had the order shipped to my parents' house in Arkansas, as the "estimated ship date" was Nov. 3 and we weren't closing on our house until Oct. 24. The tri-cycle actually shipped earlier than Nov. 3, and my parents were on vacation. Once I received notice that it had shipped, I submitted an online request asking to change the ship-to address. I heard nothing. I submitted another online request, and still heard nothing. I thought the item might be held at UPS, and my parents could pick it up when they returned home, but the item was sent back to the warehouse.
I called Totsy the 1st week in November, and the associate told me she would have the tri-cycle shipped to me. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name OR the tri-cycle.
November 22, I emailed Totsy's customer service inquiring about my order. I did not get a response.
December 5th, I called Totsy again. I spoke with Monique at ext. 546, and she said she would have to check with the warehouse to see if the tri-cycle was still there. She took my phone number and said she would call the next day. I tried to call Totsy on Dec. 6, but the estimated wait time was 29 minutes, and I didn't have that much time at work to wait on hold. I also did not receive a call from Monique about the order.
I called Totsy again early on the morning of Dec. 7. I put my phone on speaker while I waited the estimated 42 minutes on hold. I spoke with Monique again. She said the item was not in the warehouse, and I would be refunded for the purchase. I had a $30 credit (purchased through Groupon), and paid the remainder ($35.40) via Visa. She said I would receive the credit in my Totsy account, and the rest would be refunded to my Visa.
It is now December 16, and I have yet to see the credit in my Totsy account, or the refund to my Visa.
Worst internet ordering experience ever. Stay AWAY! It took over a month for my order to ship. I email company, said i wanted to cancel my order & what do you know-it shipped the next day. My order arrived and was missing an item... I called the company and they said they would issue and refund withing 7-10 days. That was a month ago. Still no refund. I have since called the company and email. No response. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau ASAP.
I'm addicted to Totsy, every day I wait anxiously for my email to check out new sales, after I've put baby down for the night :) I love that they have more and more organic stuff and that I can also find some great deals for me while I shop for my little darling! All in all a great place to save money! I haven't had any problems so far, as a matter of fact, I've received the shipping email usually just 1 day before I got my order :) Thumbs up Totsy!
The first time I ordered was fantastic. Second timed sucked. I have been waiting since 9/3/11 for 2 cute Alex toys. $90 worth of toys -- they charged me right away and said my order shipped at the end of September. I received 1 out of 3 things in my order. Contacted customer service and they said they would refund my order. Waited and waited. Today received a notice that they refunded me 1/2 of what they owe me. Called and was told it would take 7-10 business days to refund the rest. WTF?
I have received all of the items i won but the reserves are high.
I ordered some hello kitty shirts at the end of September. Was told the Ship date was October 13th. On October 12th I emailed them to see if they had shipped yet (I was told by a friend who orders from them that they OFTEN ship before the date specified)... I got a snarly reply that the ship date was tomorrow and they'd send me tracking numbers. Well, I thought I'd give it a few days. I emailed them YESTERDAY, October 25th, asking if they had tracking numbers. I also noticed they UP'D the shipping date to October 8th... Now, I emailed them on the 12th, so why the snarly repsonse if they actually shipped on the 8th? No response. I emailed them today, and I get back: " am so very sorry to say that your order ############ could not be fulfilled due to a vendor shortage. This is a very unusual and unfortunate circumstance and we sincerely apologize.
We are so sorry for this inconvenience and have applied a $10.00 credit towards your account for this issue. Thank you for your understanding."... I'm not understanding. I paid more than 10 dollars, and if you can't fufill an order, WHY WASN'T I NOTIFIED? WHERE'S MY REFUND? STAY AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE... RIP OFF!
I'm a big fan, have been a customer for months now, I think I even reviewed Totsy somewhere... I can't seem to stop ordering! I've ordered books, little outfits, hair accessories and just recently a purse for myself. I haven't had any issues with shipping, although I did have to talk to customer service once, for some reason the site was going up and down and I didn't know if my order went through. The lady was super nice, looked into my account and let me know my order went through, oh and I waited a bit, but I guess everyone was calling just like me... In any case, I love all the things they have, and the prices! I'm going to try to convince my husband to get us one of those getaways they've been selling too... very cool!
I absolutely love the deals on this website! The biggest issue I have is shipping. If you are ok with waiting a month before your order arrives and ok with some of them getting lost, then by all means order from Totsy.com. I have also sent emails to them about my order that never arrived (been over 2 months) and never got a response. Their customer service hours are from M-F 10-5 EST. Crummy! I went ahead and ordered again on 9/17 and still have not received a "shipped" email. UGH! Needless to say, I will NOT be buying from them again... depending on their customer service today after I call of course. Customer service is a big deal when dealing with a company.
