B&H had camera equipment at prices that appear to be what Amazon sets its prices to in order to be competitive. However, they have (at least in my New England location) faster free shipping than Amazon, possibly even Prime.
Their lens line-up is easier to browse than any other site I've used, and they seem to attract a more professional crowd, so the product reviews on their site are more helpful as well. The related product recommendations are unobtrusive, relevant, and possibly even hand-picked. I didn't spend much time on the site because every step of the process was streamlined and not desperate to squeeze more money out of you with add-ons.
I produce online video so camera equipment is a vital part of the business. The lens I bought today is a fixed 50mm Sony lens that I will likely be using exclusively in my studio for green screen work. This is my first purchase from B&H, but I will most likely be selecting them for future purchases. Budgets are tight, so if I can get equipment much cheaper elsewhere I will, but if I have to pay 2% more to get things from here, I'm willing to for the better experience and fast shipping. I have never been affiliated with this or any competing company, and since I make automotive content, odds are that won't change in the future, either.

I ordered a laptop from this company and it was supposed to be delivered the next day. There was a large flashing banner and a count down on the webpage explicitly detailing the delivery date. My order was confirmed via email almost immediately, but no tracking information was provided. The order was for over $2000 so a signature would be required. I attempted to get a delivery estimate so that we would be sure to be home, but then I was informed that my order had been "flagged for verification", despite them already charging my credit card. I was also told that I had to call their "verification department" and that they were only available by phone during limited business hours. I attempted to call, and was transferred from one CS rep to another, both of whom did not work in this special secret department and were unable to provide me with any information. I was told that their verification team was simply too busy to take my call and would eventually get to me, but they couldn't say how long that would take. In the meantime four additionally unauthorized charges were placed against my credit card, supposedly for "verification purposes". I eventually, after the item was to have already been delivered, canceled the order through their website, and within 10 minutes someone from the super secret verification department attempted to call me.
Excellent selection of Cameras, accessories and Telescope equipment. Large inventory, they never seem to be out of stock. My goto place for Astro equipment. Fast delivery too!

I purchased several items from B&H Photo between last year 2021 and this year 2022 and I have generally been pleased. The availability of certain high end telescopes and equipment, beats the in stock availability of the other online stores and the back order wait time for popular top brand telescopes, is much less than all the other top online stores. The only issue is that B&H charges and collects tax when shopping for its online products, when some of the other stores don't charge tax and in order to get products tax free on B&H, you have to apply for a special store credit card, which is not necessary with other online stores, in order to get many similar items tax free. There was a small issue with a connector on my telescope that has a slight fault in it, which is annoying but I would have to blame that on Celestron, the telescope's manufacturer, so overall I am generally pleased with B&H Photo, especially because of its ability to keep products in stock and its relatively short back order wait time and its expedited shipping.
I have been a B&H customer for over 30 years. Before the days of the internet, I would receive their catalog in the mail and place my order by calling them. They have always been professional, answered my questions, and provided great customer service.
It's now even easier to order with the internet and I love their free shipping.

I've been ordering from B&H for years and have had the opportunity to drop in once (I live on the opposite coast). They have a great variety of options and helpful staff. Shipping is prompt.
The site is well organized and easy to search. While I had a few questions about the product I am interested in, the site. Has a plethora of additional information and bundling suggestions for products. I bought a Gorilla Tripod and a regular tripod to use with the smartphone video camera. From past experiences as well, I know that during business hours, their staff is incredibly helpful and offers excellent service.

WOW! Wish I would have stumbled upon B&H earlier. They have anything I would ever need and then some at better prices and shipping options than other sites like the one with an Egg in it's name. Top brand name stuff at much better prices. AWESOME!

We received this order on 06/07/22 at 11:15am. It was cancelled the following day. Since the customer's credit card was never charged, no refund is due. Our credit card FAQ advises:
Customers with USA billing addresses will not be charged until the order is processed for shipping. However, a credit card authorization hold occurs at the time the order is placed.
