This is my second major purchase from BH
I like BH website, how is organized and I like 2 special features, Credit card express check out and the login system. Ive been using this site for more than 3 years. This review is real nobody call me. Dont hesitate to use it also telephone service is quite good.
UPDATED. This was initially a 2-star review. They had sent me a faulty camera, and then only refunded the price of the device itself (not the shipping, which was considerable). After posting my review here, and describing the situation, I received a refund from B&H for the cost of the shipping. Which was the right thing to do, so I'm bumping it up to a 4-star review. Previously, I would have given them a 5-star review, because I've bought from B&H for years and always been happy with them. But I'm docking a star for this because, if I hadn't posted here, they would NOT have done the right thing. I don't think customers should have to do things like this to get treated fairly. So I'm glad they responded appropriately, but I'm docking a star for having to call them out in the first place.

I have been a customer of B&H for almost 15 years, and they have always been great. Cameras and lenses have always been delivered on time and packaged well. Shopping experience has always been first rate, with no weird sales gimmicks. Recently I purchased a telescope from them and noticed 2 weeks later that the price had dropped $100. I sent them an email asking if I could perhaps get store credit for the difference. The next day they refunded the difference back to my credit card. Awesome store!
They have everything branded that you need in terms of photo/video making. It's a bit pricier than stuff you find on Amazon because they take on bigger brands. I just wish they reduce their holiday shipping schedule and make the search not repeat a lot of their inventory.

I would easily give B&H 5-stars if it wasn't for their extensive holiday schedule, which makes it really hard to get things in a timely manner during certain parts of the year.
B&H is my one-stop. My only stop. I research A LOT online, and then head to B&H to fill the orders. They always have what I need somewhere in their vast website, and are always happy to talk with me on the phone to answer researched questions. They make production possible.

The prices from B&H Photo Video are either as good as Amazon or much better (taken into account we don't need to pay tax for orders shipped outside NY). The service from B&H is as good as Amazon.

Answer: ANy refurbished item we sell has been refurbished by the manufacturer or official US distributor, Nikon USA or Canon USA etc. Other used items are each rated on a numeric scale and we tend to be conservative so customers are not disappointed.
