Customer service at this company did anything but serve this customer. Be very careful before you order anything! I ordered an item and realized after opening it that it was the wrong product. Even though the items were still individually wrapped and untouched in their original packaging, customer service denied my return simply because I had cut open the tape on the box. No compassion. Emails were very unfeeling as they hid behind their return policy. I understand items that have been opened and handled are harder to resell, but this product was completely intact in its packaged form. So...I'm stuck with a $250 product I cannot use over a piece of tape that was cut. I DO NOT recommend any company that has such little value for their customers. I'm a loyal buyer and would have purchased from B&H for a long time had they treated me well. Please consider going elsewhere and supporting businesses that value the customers they serve.
This website is user-friendly and checkout was fast! Wanted a spotting scope for birding, and the suggested assessories were conveniently located below and clicked on those, added to cart, checked out and the whole process lasted maybe 5 minutes.
B&H is great with their new products. I have spent thousands of dollars (as we photographers do) over the last few years at B&H. However, on this most recent purchase I opted to take advantage of a special financing with their Payboo card program ran through Comenity Bank. I ended up paying it off in full after three months because their system was always "down" for payments and charged you $50 late fees. Then their system was conveniently down once balance was paid in full and were unable to report payoff to bureaus. I do not know if this is an actual affiliation with B&H or this is who they choose to represent them. Either way I will take my business elsewhere while they use Comenity Capital for their in house financing.

I recieved a defective battery so I opened a return RMA and sent the battery back, I never got a refund. I used thier return shipping lable, the item was delivered with a signature and they will not refund the payment. Been fighting with them for 4 months and I give up. It's not the $10 its the principle of the matter. They should stand behind thier products and do the right thing. Update: Thats great, this has been going on since July 2022, I show proof that the item was returned and they just fought me, denying my refund over and over, until thier bad customer service practices are exposed publicly by my review, then all the sudden they take notice and finally refund me. If no one was watching, they never would have refunded me. It probably cost them way more than $10 in labor for all the months or fighting me and denying my refund for 4 months, certainly wasted a ton of my personal time, ALL OVER $10. Its not the money but the principal. I won't be shopping there again, EVER!

I am a longtime customer. They have consistently quick shipping and their pricing is excellent. Though I have rarely needed customer service, my limited experience with service issues has shown them to be responsive and more than fair. This is a great vendor!
I currently use a Nikon D810 and own 5 Nikon lenses. Today I upgraded & added the Nikon D850 and had a few questions on memory cards and quick please plates. I purchased a camera but there was a problem in mexican customs so the camera is blocked. I don`t have my camera and B&H is not giving me my money back. I've been waiting for over 3 months. The only solution now is probably to take the justice option. I don´t have answer of B&H. No custom service!

The bhphoto site is very easy to navigate, product information is thorough and clear, reviews by customers are helpful (meaning: appear to be real reviews and not from a review farm), customer service and shipping are above the norm.
I purchased a PTZ camera for a project at a VA hospital from B&H. Due to Covid restrictions we were forced to re-schedule the installation several times. When we finally had a firm date, we discovered B&H had shipped us a used camera, with no power supply, no remote, and no paperwork. The camera box has "Event # 1" written on it in several places, so it is no doubt a used item.
When I reached out to B&H Customer Service I was told that I was outside of their policy on returns, (all I wanted was a replacement), but that if I decided to buy a new one they would be happy to buy the used one back from me at used pricing.
They suggested I contact the manufacturer to get the parts that are missing from the box, and just install the used unit.
Amazing.

I love b&h, I've been a customer of their photo equipment for over 30 years and would never change. Prices are great, special offers are great, sometimes free gifts are given, website is easy to navigate and now their pay boo credit card makes buying from them even better! Plus…they are honest and shipping is fast. I highly recommend them!
Answer: ANy refurbished item we sell has been refurbished by the manufacturer or official US distributor, Nikon USA or Canon USA etc. Other used items are each rated on a numeric scale and we tend to be conservative so customers are not disappointed.
