I have purchased many items from B&H over the years and have had nothing but terrific experiences. Even when I had to deal with customer service, they have been nothing but friendly, helpful and thankful for my business. Thus they are always my first stop when I need something.
Great selection of more than just photo and video gear. It's really a one stop shop for most all electronics needs. It's the first place I go and typically the last. They set the bar for prices and shipping is almost always free. Their used department is extremely trustworthy and their rating system hasn't failed me yet. They also provide an excellent online chat service. It's a just a great store.

Now the funny thing is I read the store reviews and I think that this has to be the worst store in the world, BUT my experience has been just the opposite. I've had good experiences on my phone calls, everything delivers in a very short amount of time, and while their prices aren't always the lowest they are fair. The selection is outstanding and they always seem to have obscure odds and ends in stock. Oh and how could I forget, I visit the Deal Zone every morning for simply phenomenal deals.
I had bought a used/refurbished Nikon 300 2.8 lens that gave focus problems in low light so looked at the 300 f4 plus a 1.7x teleconverter. I liked what I read about the new 300 f4 with its Fresnel lens and small size and to my delight I found a 9+ rating 1.7x in the used section. Just what I wanted so I quickly bought both. For me it was such a productive shopping trip.

I tried buying a computer from NZXT. Love their computers, They are easy to deal with and answer questions quick n courteous... however it was such a hassle to deal with their checkout process! $6,000 and they cannot, willnot, refusenot? SLIPKNOT! (the band heehee) they won't split a payment. I cannot give them 4k in cash and then the rest on a credit card... WHY!?!
But goodnews! I CAN DO IT HERE! WOOOOHOOOOOO!

Decent price but shipping is a little high. Shipping was $5.26 on a $12 order... IF there were any camera stores other than Best Buy left in my area, I probably could have purchased locally for cheaper than $17 on a $12 order. If I had more time, probably would have checked Adorama and others but its done. B&H you need to check your shipping prices! A shipping price of almost half of the price of the merchandise is absolutely stupid!

They have what I want, it's painless, simple, but robust if you want it to be. For my part I've never had an issue with an order. I get what I order when it says so (shipping company issues notwithstanding).
