Online purchase made on Jan 4th. Email receipt indicated item would be shipped in 7 to 10 business days. I called several times for updates and on February 4th was told the item status was now on back order. Interest free loan scam... What a joke...
I love, love, love B&H. I have purchased multiple expensive items with them and had zero issues. They are fast and their customer service is spot on. Majority of the things they sell are less expensive than anywhere else on the internet. Highly recommend!

I did not deal with their customer service and/or have to return something but I lost my nikon charger for a dslr battery and was looking for a replacement. The original one is like $60+... and that's kind of ridiculous. There were many alternatives and I almost ordered the original from them but it was on back order indefinitely (thanks nikon for discontinuing older equipment!) and I came across an alternative they recommended which had mostly positive reviews.
At first I thought that they were slow to ship, but I realized that they don't send an email with tracking/shipping update but when I checked the order status the tracking showed that it was almost being delivered. It might have to do with how close you live to a distribution center but I was fine with their free slower shipping.
Great site, good information, even better customer service. All in all great shopping experience.

I'm a long time customer of B&H! But why? They are amongst the top tier of online merchandisers. The website is very user friendly, with lots of information in easy to find layout. Not only a general description and detailed specifications, but also "what's in the box" takes away doubt as to what is really included. If one orders by mistake they'll accept returns with no hassle. They are really honest and reliable.
Without doubt, unless I'm trying to get a once in a lifetime special price from one of the other megastores, B&H always comes in my first 2-3 choices for anything photographic or for video.

Great & professional website, had no problems with B&H, after being scammed by AJ Richies.com, I was really hesitant on ordering anything online anymore, but things could have gone no smoother with B&H, I ordered a refurbished Canon, it took probably less then a week to arrive in TX, and the camera looked brand new, everything was packaged with care, and works perfect, only reason why I am giving them a 4 star instead of a 5, is cause I only ordered from B&H once, but I do plan on giving them my service in the near future as well as follow up reviews, know this, STAY AWAY FROM AJRICHES.COM AND ALL ITS AFFILIATES, they're a super rip off, just look up any reviews on them and you'll see what I am talking about, I wrote one on here about them and I'm only one out of 100's they scammed, anyways B&H was great, I would suggest them to a friend.

I've been dealing with B&H ("Beards & Hats" as the joke goes) since the early '90s. They have always been fair with their prices, superb with their customer service and as immediate with shipping as is humanly possible. They continue to innovate (more videos for pro photographers from experts in various fields) and add product. As far as I am concerned they do everything as exact and expeditious as can be hoped for.
B&H Photovideo has a great website, with a LOT of detailed product information. They have good (but not great) prices. They have above-average customer service. However, they will not bargain or price match, even when buying multiple items and regardless of price.
If you are buying a name-brand product, you can often find a better price elsewhere on reputable sites.
However, this is the only on-line site where I feel comfortable buying used equipment. Nearly 10 years' experience with B&H gives me confidence that they thoroughly inspect used items before offering them for sale.
On the other hand, I am not completely satisfied with B&H in the past year for a couple of reasons, which has limited my business with them. First, B&H is easily big enough to have leverage with the major manufacturers when it comes to Manufacturers Set Prices, but they apparently choose not to do this. Some manufacturers will require retailers to sell certain products, especially the latest-version or current releases, at a minimum set price. B&H is big enough to leverage MSP, in order to offer better prices, but they usually do not. When you see a high-quality camera or binocular on B&H Photovideo for the same price you see on other websites (sometimes even small outfits), you can be assured B&H Photo is not offering their best price.
The second complaint is that B&H has cut back a lot recently on its product offerings from Nikon, especially in the sport optics department.
In summary, B&H is a great place to do online research, which is saying a lot for a retail site! However, you can most likely find better prices elsewhere. And if you are buying used, it's hard to beat B&H.
After my order did not show up for a week beyond when it should have I received this (see below). This item was a great price which I had spent serveral hours researching. They did offer to credit me towards another model that was an additonal $300 I told them no thanks. My refund for the item I purchased and never received is approximately $350 and is still pending...:-( very dissappointed in this transaction. I have ordered from them before and had been pleased with the results.

This is one of my first choices for online vendors of camera equipment. Their prices are competitive and they usually have stock. So far, their handling of my orders has been accurate and quick. No complaints.
Probably one of the most comprehensive electronic sites I've came across. Found the B&H site while searching for a home security camera system. B&H had the item I was looking for at just under $200.00 less than any other retailer. Plus they gave free shipping on the system I bought. After purchase there was good communication via email and the system was shipped out the same day. I have fallen in love with this company, their site content, and the services and competitive prices they offer. I've only made a couple of purchases to date but so far they receive an A+++++ rating from me.
