I started purchasing from B&H, because Adorama sold me a grey market lens, and when i confronted them, they tried to gaslight and never offered apology. Sooo...
I purchased Nikon z6ii, and... yup... grey market camera!
I called and the CSR pointed out that it said "imported", but when i put it in my cart it did NOT say that. I know bc ever since my Adorama experience i check that. She then proceeds to tell me the item number for the US version, as that is specific. While she's talking, i do 3 searches... one from my work phone, laptop, and tablet... they all return the US version, so i scroll to see if there's a listing for the imported... nothing. She say..."you must have bought the last one. Yeah... that's it.
Then I get connected to a supervisor, Rosie, who is less than helpful. We exchanged words and she finally says well if you send that today to FedEx I can get it out today, otherwise we will send it once we receive yours back. I told her I have been a customer for years and if bought tons of equipment from them. Despite that this was their fault, and I needed this immediately. I tell her that I ordered this because I needed to get acclimated because I have a shoot next week, and I said after next week who knows maybe I'll end up returning this one. And then she says well if you were thinking about returning it, then the offer is rescinded we won't mail you out another one today.
So B&H f'd up.
I have purchased several thousand dollars of laptops, workstations, cameras, mics, and other audio/video equipment over the last few years. These guys never fail to provide quality tech support and assistance when making a purchase.
The sortiment there is just outstanding. If you need a camera or a la[top you can visit this site and find something for yourself. I didn't have any problems with ordering and receiving the item. It came in perfect condition and I am very pleased with that.
In the store or online, they have a great selection and knowledgeable sales staff. Recently there have been a lot of stock/backorder issues but I can't fault them for that. At least they alert when it's available. I was also very happy with their credit through Synchrony Bank. Recently it changed to Payboo so I hope the level of customer service continues and they keep offering no-interest promo financing.
B&H is way better than competitor sites (like Am**** or Ne****) because they mainly just list quality products instead of a sea of chinese knockoffs that break a week later, so it's much easier to make a selection, and they're a good business that supports their employees instead of draining them then replacing them. They also actually care about packing your expensive purchases properly. I've had competitor websites ship a $320 CPU in a large box with no padding, so it bounced around and shattered the plastic packaging onto the heatsink thermal paste. After complaining three times in a row, the competitor kept showing the same disregard for packaging and never improved, despite guarantees that they would. B&H has never done a bad job with packaging. Even a small SSD came carefully wrapped in bubble wrap. Support them to support good business practices.

I called earlier in the hope of discussing this with you and was unable to leave a message as your voicemail is full. I apologize that you never received the order you placed last May 20th and first made us aware of this about 8 months later. I also apologize if any of our customer service agents did said anything that offended you and you felt we stole your money. What you describe is contrary to B&H's standards of excellence. I would be willing to make a one-time exception and ship your order of the 4 SD cards to you after we can speak. Please understand that we send shipping confirmation and tracking on every order and it is also the responsibility of our customers to notify us if there is an issue in a timely manner. If you do not receive your order within a few days of the expected date it is vital that you let us know.
I understand you were not in a hurry and may have even forgot that you had made the order. We only have a small window to notify the freight carrier and make any possible claim.
In regards to our hours of operation, as a principle of faith our company suspends all commercial activity from sunset Friday evening until nightfall on Saturday in observance of the Jewish Sabbath as well as on Major Jewish holidays.
Though we do understand it may be inconvenient for some customers and it may seem to be counter to standard practice, our company is determined to adhere to a stricter principle and not conduct any business, neither passive nor active during the Sabbath hours. B&H often is our best resource for hard-to-find items. Often at a great price. Most recently, Fujitsu fi-7160 scanners were in stock while our other suppliers had none or wanted inflated prices.
I've been buying from B&H online for the past 25 years and for the most part, they get it right. Prices are often the lowest or at least competitive. Using their branded credit card gets me a discount equal to the tax I'd normally pay, and for me, that's about 10%. They have a pretty decent selection and they'll answer any questions, often without attitude or sarcasm.
The problems seem to occur with their shipping and shopping cart. They use the worst shipping service on the planet: FedEx. If you need it tomorrow, good luck. If you're willing to wait, your delivery window will generally be a 3-day span and they almost always deliver a day late. So unreliable. The other issue is even if you select next day or 2-day delivery, that only applies to the actual time the carrier takes, not the time it takes for your items to get picked and packed, which could take as long as 3-4 days depending on the days of the week you placed your order.
The other issue is their online shopping cart. Because they're Jewish and observe Shabbat, they close the online checkout Friday afternoon and reopen on Saturday. Unfortunately, if you put things in your shopping cart Friday night hoping to check out on Saturday, your items will sometimes disappear. Worse yet, if you add items using their phone app and later try to add more items or checkout from a web browser on another device, your items won't be there. Frustrating, confusing and poorly implemented.

The title to my review says it all. I have always been pleased with the B&H online experience. Should I have indepth questions; there is always someone in customer service who knows the answer. This is "over the top" in today's world. I give B&H Photo an ATTA BOY on all they do.
Their shipping is pretty fast with great tracking and products always top quality! I love the store whenever we are in NY we don't leave without visiting, it's one of our favorite stops.
What they sell is priced lower than A->z. This is not the first time I've bought from them. I've found it easy to find what I need and their delivery is reliable.
