I use Better World Books when I can't find a title at my local bookshops and its out-of-print or really difficult to get hold of. I like them because they are independent, not Amazon, and help others, and have a great range. Occasionally I have received a book that was not as described, usually poorer condition than I expected, and each time they have responded quickly and fully refunded me the cost of the purchase. These are second-hand books and they do try to describe them accurately; I accept that occasionally mistakes are made!

The book arrived safely (although the local post office didn't notify me of its arrival, but that's entirely on them). For a second-hand book, the condition is quite nice, the cover is damaged in places, but every crack has been taped over and overall I am very pleased with how neat it is. Thank you! I really wanted this book and am happy to finally have it!

When the books were sent on their way, I received the most clever e-mail from them (the books) about how they were excited to have been chosen and how they were looking forward to meeting me, etc. It was very fun and funny.
When we did finally 'meet,' they were in very good shape, even though some of them were listed as simply 'good shape.' Some of them even seem 'new' or 'excellent' to me. They did take a while to get to me, but I'm sure that's because I live in Alaska. It was well worth the wait, and I highly recommend this site.
