Took a while to get to rural Australia but I'm happy now that I have the book Shipping cost was very reasonable so I don't mind waiting a month.

Books have been great and in better shape than I expected. Most have been withdrawn copies from various libraries. However if a book is stated as coming with a cd or dvd, most times the cd or dvd is not there
Over the years, as a school librarian, I have purchased upwards of 600 books from
BWB. To provide resources so that each child in a class could have a research book about a given topic, particularly in history and science, I relied on the great breadth of books available through BWB. My budget went much further and gave a "better bang for the buck." I would bring a box into a classroom anklet the children help unpack it, which added to their sense of adventure and excitement about each topic.
Now retired, I order book club books for myself and friends, as libraries cannot support the demand for many multiple copies, and paying retail prices is beyond the reach of a retiree. All in all, a treasure trove of good reading copies. They are not (or rarely ever) new.
My book didnt show up, but they immediately refunded and apologized. THAT is good service. Thanks Betterworldbooks.
Books are always at least as good as described. Many would appear unused. The literacy program is one of the main reasons they are my first choice for used book purchases. Often times the books are ones that I have not found anywhere else. I mostly read American history and politics, and their selections are very good.
There's a huge selection of books to choose from, prices are low, books are usually in good condition, there are no shipping fees, and I'm helping literary causes around the world at the same time. It sometimes takes a while for some of the books to arrive (sometimes even 6-8 weeks, even though usually the books are delivered much more quickly, in 3-4 weeks), but the delivery has always been reliable.
Once again, a fabulous experience with BWB. Was able to purchase enough copies off an out of print title for all the students in my class. The pricing was so good that even if a student can't cover the cost, I can!
Both used books are very clean without any notes or highlights inside. The first book is supposed to be in the category of "good" but it is very good. The second book fits the description of "like new". Excellent!
Nice selection of books, something for everyone. Took a little extra time for delivery on the last order (5 weeks), surface mail out of Europe. My book is in reasonable condition and I'm quite happy with it overall. The only thing that I wish I had gotten was a tracking number so I could have checked on the progress of the package, but you can't have everything...

I looked around all over for a website that sold used books for a reasonable price, and landed on BetterWorldBooks. I liked the prices, they were without a doubt cheaper than any other website. The shipping was free, which was great too considering that multiple books are pretty heavy.
I only have great things to say about this company. I love that they help different programs, and it makes me feel good to order through them. I received my books very soon after I placed my order. The books aren't in perfect shape, but that is too be expected when you buy them used. I told my husband, I will never order books from anywhere else!
