I see a few negative reviews & wonder if they contacted BWB. I had a problem or 2 where I didn't contact them. I should have because they would either correct such problems or credit your account. They have special offer rates regularly and even without that have low prices Added to that they regularly contribute to literacy around the world.
As for shipping, they give options & I rarely need something quickly, but it still has been efficient enough for my needs.
Books were in good condition and the shippung took a while due to my location but that's understandable. The transaction went very smoothly.
They have an incredible selection of used books. I see in other reviews that people are disappointed with book condition. Understand that this is a mass operation of used books with a very general indication of condition on the books listed. If the dust jacket is important to you, don't buy here because you can't tell from the listing if there will be one. Same with ex-library. They handle millions of books inexpensively and don't have the time or resources to be meticulous in condition descriptions. That's why the prices are so low. With that understanding, this is the place to get used books.
It arrived and was in excellent condition! Plus the fact that Better World Books is better than Amazon (a great price + programs they support + carbon offsetting).
I got one shipment in my order that was mailed in a giant plastic bag. But the books got here. Easy but wish faster shipping options existed in canada.

The book I ordered was in good condition and came faster than I expected. This is my go-to site for books I can't find at the library or my local bookseller.
All books were received in good condition and for the most part quickly. 2 of the books came four weeks after the order was placed and one smelled musty/moldy.
The books delivered were in better condition than I expected. I am happy that I can order here and not through another major retailer (a larger region in northern Brazil) whose practices I find reprehensible.
