After a super easy order process, my vacuum arrived the very next day. Love, love, love, this vacuum! After going from a fully carpeted home to laminate floors and area rugs, we needed to change from our big clunky Dyson. This Miele is so easy to use and the attachments are stored right in the vacuum. No more running to the closet for whichever attachment I need. A really nice feature that I did not think I would use, is the light. Wow! Does that ever help being able to see into the dark corners behind furniture, etc. The light conveniently switches automatically, which saves on the battery life. An additional feature I use all the time, is standing the vacuum head up in its slot, which then switches the vacuum off automatically. This is a great feature when for the times you need to intermittently stop vacuuming. The vacuum suction is very powerful, which makes this non-power head a little difficult to use on area rugs, but turning down the suction power helps there. I would not have thought of doing that, so it is nice that the vacuum thinks for you and automatically reduces the suction in those circumstances. I believe not having the power head will be better for my area rugs in the long run. I kept the Dyson for the one long-shag area rug that the Miele is not be able to do. I opted to get the lighter (and less expensive) head for the bare floors vs. getting the power head just for one area rug. The only thing I would change on the vacuum is the cord length. At 30 ft. It is just a bit short. But overall, I am very happy with my purchase.
