I ordered a mini-fridge appliance online and paid an expedited delivery charge. It turns out that Best Buy delivery carrier OnTrac doesn't even deliver any appliance to my door and with required signature, unless the item is above $500. Customer service is a joke after I had spent hours on the phone with no luck of trying to simply update my phone number and to request a door-to-door delivery as opposed to let them dropping it off like a package in the lobby or mailroom. Also, I was told by customer service reps that once the order is placed online, there's no way to cancel the order unless it's within 30-mins of purchase. I never had these issues with other online merchants like Home Depot or Target once I paid a delivery fee, the appliance will be delivered to my door in-person with my required signature. I don't think I'll ever purchase any appliance online from Best Buy in the future.
I bought a large order of a fridge, microwave, stove and dishwasher from Best Buy that were delivered in May of 2022. For months I have been given the run around as the fridge does not cool and the microwave does not heat. They have sent repair people out to do an initial assessment only to stop the process, start again and again and again - then they'll schedule you over and over and over just to either cancel the appointment(s) the same day (after you've cleared your whole day) to hear oh we don't have your part and no one rushed it (we're talking months and months) - they've cancelled these appointments and can't tell you why so you continuously start over - FINALLY FED UP I asked them to just replace them as I have lost 1000's of dollars of food from a bad fridge and they said "The repair team has to request a replacement item" so they are unable to help me - OH YOU MEAN THE REPAIR TEAM THAT NEVER SHOWS UP OR KEEPS CANCELLING THAT I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH FOR MONTHS AND THEY SAY THEY DON'T WORK FOR BEST BUY - THAT REPAIR TEAM? WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER - They just want you to give up so you'll buy more products. NEVER AGAIN BEST BUY - NEVER AGAIN! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, they will not help you but they'll definitely take your money!
Ive had my delivery delayed by over a month by now. Every time im in touch they push it off a bit more. Whats ironic is that they actually have the item in stock, but for some cockamamied reason they wont deliver the pick up items. (my schedule wont allow me to just go down there and get it)
I placed a order online with Bestbuy for two items, iPad and a Oculust gaming system for my child's Christmas, the day theme we're suppose to be delivered I was out of town for a mandatory work meeting, this situation occurred 10 days before Christmas, I contacted the company who assured me they would either refund or Redbox the items within 72 hours, I stressed to them how important it was for me to receive these items as they were the only gifts my children would receive for Christmas, They waited until the day of Christmas to email me and said they would not reship or refund, I spoke with customer service again she implied we were looking to get something for free because that's what a lot of people do.
After posting a bad customer experience or should I say lack of about store 1475 and GM Blake Chaulkins because he went out of his way to avoid me about a $1699 Sony tv that they priced incorrectly by a $1000, not once but twice. And second time in front of me, and they mis price all available sizes of the same model on the same tv then lied to their garbage customer care about the whole process who of coarse believed them even though I showed pictures to prove my claim. Next after receiving a one star review from me they have now blocked me from posting to their site. They approve want reviews you can read. You are being lied to as a consumer. Below I have included the same proof that I sent to customer care Chalking told them that price was placed there momentarily to help a customer... Really Blake? Clearly it can be seen both tags are for the X80k that are carefully placed on the A80K. And When approached by me about the pricing mistake the MOD grabbed the tags and ran away...LOL Really? Second is a list of the leaders I've emailed with no response. Best Buy is a garbage company when it comes to its customers and clearly when it comes to owning their mistakes
Placed an online order 10 days ago. Waited to receive my order. Called customer service for the status, and they said to wait 3-5 business days. Called the second time, and they told me to wait for up to 48 house to investigate. I waited, then called again, customer service said they need another 3-5 business days to investigate.
Canceling my order, what a waste of time.

As I'm writing this, my fiance has been on the phone with Best Buy support for over 5 1/2 hours.
We placed nearly a $4,000 order with Best Buy for new appliances over a month ago, including a refrigerator and a rangehood for our kitchen. To date, our installation and delivery has been cancelled three times.
The excuses and information we've received via text, email, and phone from varying members of the company changes drastically from one moment to the next.
At this point, all we want to do is cancel our order, but we've been told that it is still marked as being in transit and no one in the ENTIRE company has the authority to override this, which seems like a pretty big flaw in their system... and a completely unviable way for a business to operate.
Best Buy sells large appliances that fail within weeks of installation from store staff. The freezer had power (power light indicator on) but the motor was non-functional. Despite the product failure resulting in approximately $500 in pork and venison loss there was no spoilage reimbursement. Best Buy sells faulty items and then fails to stand by any impacts from the sale and installation.
I bought an LG WASHER and paid $160.00 for a 5 year warranty. I have been trying to get it fixed for almost a month now and they keep cancelling appointments. I'm sure it's because they can't get a technician out, but I have received not offer of any resolution. In the meantime I am going to the laundromat when I have a 2 year old LG washer. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM BEST BUY!
$200 a year and it's a waste of your time. They don't fix things. They don't show up as scheduled. I won't renew. I'll go elsewhere.
Best Buy is a joke. I was foolish enough to purchase the Total Tech membership when I recently purchased an iPad. I bought a tv on Dec. 1st and scheduled a delivery and installation, a service covered by my Total Tech membership. I scheduled the appt. For 12/7, between noon and 8 pm (no option for a smaller window). I sat for 8 hrs. And Best Buy was a no show. They had rescheduled my appt. For 12/8, again between 12 & 8pm. I waited for 7 hours+ before I called about 7:15 and asked when I could expect the installer. I was told he would be there in the next few minutes after completing the job he was almost done with. They said he would call me when he was on the way. Never got a call and the tech never showed. I then discover that they have rescheduled my appt. For…are you ready…December 23rd, between noon and 8 p.m.! My advice, don't waste your money on the Best Buy Total Tech membership or, for that matter, anything from Best Buy.
I went into a physical best buy store, brought a couple of items with cash and purchased the complete care. Found out the items wasn't the right ones so I took them back. Best buy let me know they would not give me cash back butail me a check, at the store they said no worries give it up to 7 days. I called to check on it over the phone and the representative told me they lied it is 14 business days or they have up to 6 weeks! So with that being said I won't have the money in time to get the gifts for my kids!
The most disgusting customer support I have seen. The *******289 support number, is horrible. I have been dealing with an issue since Nov 11,2022, which a local supervisor was supposed to handle, and he said to call this number because it was corporate. IT IS NOT! It goes into a black hole overseas. Still my issue has not been solved and this particular local supervisor poorly handled it. I want Best Buy to contact me directly so I can put a formal complaint. Which in turn, if you all notice, you cant get in touch directly with them. It tells you something. ZERO STARS.
I went and bought a brand new fridge from Best Buy and 2 months later it has broken and it is not getting cold! I have asked Best Buy multiple times for help and all they do is blame it in the fridge maker Whirlpool. Whirlpool has also been no help in getting the fridge fixed and now thanks to the horrible people at Best Buy we are stuck with a broken fridge. I am so upset about Best Buy, they will never get any of my business again! I highly suggest TO NOT BUY ANY APPLIANCES From Best Buy!
I placed a laptop order on Cyber Monday, to be delivered by UPS in two days, then I received an email that the carrier company is returning back my order due to incomplete address on the package done by best buy, they sent an email that my order has been canceled and they will refund me the money, I called cc that I don't want refund and I need my order, they mentioned you will get a confirmation email when your order is ready, which I never received! Then everyday they mention wait for tomorrow, and opsss offer is ended and laptop price now is over 1000$ and there is a hold on my order so cc told me cancel your current order and place a new one

Horrific experience. Customer service is polite, but after 4 hours talking with 10 different people, repeating the same thing, still no resolution. Only half my order arrived and no one can explain, yet their system says my order was delivered. Delivery service also confirmed half delivery. Now, I am told my undelivered order will be refunded, but I can't get any confirmation email for this and every other customer service person I call has no record of this. A frickin Christmas nightmare. Why I continue to believe in these big box retailers is beyond me...
Be cautious when purchasing items from Best Buy. They promise free items on some products and then you never receive the email on how to claim them. When you chat with them on-line they just give the run around and tell you that you have to call their hot line and chase the information down yourself and find out why you never got the email. What a crock. So much for their customer service, they seem to forget who the customer is.
I ordered a hard drive from Best Buy for $215, and a "My Cloud" Network Attached Storage device for about $231. They sent me the hard drive in a plastic bag. Once opened, I could see that the hard drive was in a smashed box. They didn't send the My Cloud NAS device, yet the delivery tracking number for the order says, "Order Delivered!"
Online, the Best Buy website shows that my order totals over $500, and it says that the hard drive is one of two items contained in the order, yet I can only view the hard drive part of the order.
I eventually spoke to someone on the phone, and they explained that the order was shipped in two parts, and the second part should arrive in a day or two.
I asked if I could return the hard drive that arrived in a broken box, and I was told I could, but that Best Buy is out of the model I ordered. At the end of the day, the money is spent, but it could take weeks for me to get this Network Attached Storage device up and running. I'm not very happy with how this order worked out.
Purchased a TV to be held in store until I had the proper vehicle to pick the item up in. I found a different TV for cheaper and have been attempting to contact the store for 3 days to cancel the order and get redirected to the national customer service line. Today, I received an email with confirmation that my item was picked up and I did not pick up the TV. I have been on a total of 5 calls where they have either been dropped or redirected and told I need to go into the store to figure out if the TV is still there or they gave it to someone NOT approved to pick it up. After being told I can not directly talk to anyone from the Vienna store about this concern, I am extremely unhappy with Best Buy and its customer service setup. The fact that I can not contact the store regarding a possibly stolen TV is absurd. I am currently working hours from the store and can not physically go into the store to resolve this matter. I will continue to leave bad reviews on all platforms until ANYONE can confirm whether or not the TV is still at the store or if it was handed off to someone. Best Buy, call your Vienna store manager and figure this out.
Best Buy has gone down hill! I went to the store to buy a TV and put on a waiting list hit the next associate available and ended up leaving! Also tried to call yo place another order and ended up hanging up after trying to get someone on the phone! I will go elsewhere to do my shopping

Answer: I would write a letter to your state's attorney general. There are laws regarding taking advantage of senior citizens. I would specifically ask for documentation from Best Buy in which your grandmother gave them permission to recycle her 18 month old computer. If they cannot produce that document they may be in very big trouble with the state's attorney general. I would also write the BBB and contact your public officials. This I think would be paramount to theft if your grandmother did not give them permission to recycle her computer. On the flip side of things, ASUS is a very good machine. My son is a computer scientist and swears by ASUS. I have three ASUS machines one of which is over 5 years old and it is a workhorse. Unless something significant happens in the ASUS business world, I will continue to buy ASUS!
