Buyer Beware!

BUYER BEWARE!

Sony cannot/will not support their products!

Stay as far away from Best Buy and avoid purchasing a Sony theater system! Read all the complaints everywhere regarding how they continue to disrespect the customers! Their customer service is a joke! Corporate is well aware of these issues and refuse to do anything to resolve anything. Probably why they do not post their contact information.

It's not surprising since their CEO, Corie Barry is/was investigated for misconduct:

Their Geek Squad and 3rd party vendors are inexperienced. All they know how to do is plug stuff in and leave you with their carnage. Their 'social media people' are not human, just bots/AI.

I wish our salesclerk, Jason Hoover, would have been upfront about the issues we would be facing prior to our purchases. Now, as 'professional' as he thought he was, to just ignore us! Great job Jason! Glad you enjoyed the commission you received from the crap you sold us!

We have made trips to the Folsom and Roseville stores to get resolutions. Their own managers and staff acknowledge the fact that customer service is a joke and yet Best Buy continues to rip people off!

People need to avoid this company altogether.

Best Buy is not the company you would like to purchase anything from. They don't stand by the product quality or customer support to resolve any upcoming issues. Once the item was sold, they don't have any interest to assist the customers and will be sending you to the manufacturer, while the manufacturer will be sending you back to Best Buy. It is better to avoid Best Buy unless you like to lose money.

Bad service

‏I have a complaint from you. I bought a handfree from the Best Buy website about 2 weeks ago. After I received it, I saw that it was not suitable for me and it hurt my ears very much and it was not comfortable at all. I immediately requested a return it but Best Buy said
‏ that we didn't sell it, you should send a message to the seller. I sent a message to the seller and they treated me very badly and did not accept. I made this purchase on the credit of Best Buy and I am really sorry and upset. If I had bought from Costco or Walmart, they would have given me full service. And I won't buy from you anymore and I don't trust you anymore

The most horrendous customer service. Good luck if you wanna talk to your "local" best buy. These guys are a joke. The number you get transfered to does nothing but try Google your questions, it surely seems.

The customer service does not go directly to the store you will visit. All numbers are directed to call center overseas. Called customer service and the person told me I could return a product less than 25 days old as it was a christmas present without receipt. When I arrived they not only did not find the sell by their own order number they could not find it by the purchaser. They would not exchange it or refund the price. I then went home and contacted the website for the store and received the same results. I believe they sold us a previously returned item which we thought was new. The box indicated it had been shipped via ups and we had purchased it directly in store. They are intentionally selling defective equipment that has been returned then when you bring it back to them outside of a 14 day return policy, they refuse exchange... My Air fryer worked for 15 days and quit turning on for no reason. I will never buy another item from Best Buy. Dr Angstadt *******298

Loyal for years, until now. Multiple issues, just now finally posting. Took off work w diff days because of "I promise " deliveries. Both no shows. "Gave" us a $100 gift card, then tried to CHARGED OUR ACCT FOR THE GIFT CARD!
One of the numerous issues, fridge delivered was totally dented and beat up. Tried to blame us, even with photos and video of the fridge coming out dented.
Save your money. You worked hard for it. Best Buy doesn't deserve your money. Go ANYWHERE ELSE. Literally ANYWHERE.

Online customer service is the worse

I order some Sonos speakers online after thanksgiving sell and I asked Customer service rep to do not ship anything and I requested a pickup from the 86th and legxtiton New York *******. For some reason they told me some of the merchandise was shipped worth nearly $800 and I have never received it. Every time I call I get running around and Junahlea With Reference ID:******* sent me stupid email saying she conclude the investigation after I call less than 24 hrs that the merchandise was delived and signed by some one I have no clue while the building have a sight saying they don't accept packages. I need the management to pull the phone conversation when I placed the order my instruction was clear to do not ship anything.

Terrible

Decided to buy a phone from best buy. They said my info could be switched to the new phone and was compatible with us cellular. On the new phone I couldn't send or receive messages, and when I called us cellular they said they couldn't activate the new phone because it's not compatible. Not to mention I already bought a case, screen protector, and would have to pay a ridiculous 45 dollar fee to return it. I lost money because of them. Story short buy your new phone directly from your carrier and have it set up there. Best buy shouldn't even be allowed to sell phones.

I bought a GE opal 2 ice maker from Best Buy. Box clearly states "do not return, call for support." My wife spent hours on the phone with GE and Best Buy troubleshooting with no effect. Due to holidays and travel, when it finally came time to return the item because they could not help over the phone, we were just past 30 days from purchase and GE as well as Best Buy refused to take it back. Just know that when you buy a product from Best Buy that does not work, they are not an ethical company that support their products. They have lost my family as a customer forever.

Beware

Like most companies, Best Buy encourages you to use their pay on-line system, however, when you do, they will deduct 7 times over the amount you allow them to take out of your account. I allowed $100 on their pay-on-line system and they decided to deduct the amount of $700. Then when you call the company, representatives tell you it takes 45 days to resolve the issue. I called my bank and they also said it would take 45 days to resolve the issue. I informed my bank I would withdraw all of my money from their bank (5 accounts) if they did not refund my money deducted by Best Buy immediately. You must be careful with these companies these days. They are all unscrupulous and will leave you broke if you are not careful.

Do not use BEST Buy Pay on line services. Use your bank ONLY! These companies have lost their conscious trying to make the consumer broke.

The worst customer service

Went online to order a freezer on Dec 29th. BestBuy.com showed I could pick one up at a nearby store. On checkout, was informed that item was out of stock, but could be delivered to another store on Jan 16th. The other store was an hours drive away, but accepted and paid. Got an text update that my order was placed and will arrive for pickup on Jan 16th. On January 16th, at 6:09 PM, received another text saying my order was delayed. When I clicked on the attached link, I signed in and yet their was no record of my order! Started customer service chat and after 30 min, they figured out that since I checked out as guest, the link they sent me would not work. Gave another, signed in and found my order. Yea. It said delayed, that's it. Was told by chat agent that I should not worry, and they will email me when order ready to pick up, yet could give me no clues as to when that might be. I asked if they could do anything for me like free delivery and the agent transferred me to other department. This chat agent explained that when the order arrived, they would email me. They said to offer me delivery was impossible, because my order was $60 under limit for free delivery. At this point, I had been on the chat for 1 hour and 20 min. I told them that after originally being offered my product on December 29th, 18 days later, on the day I was scheduled to pick it up, I was texted after 6PM my order is delayed indefinitely, and all they offer are platitudes and no information on when I could expect my product... I canceled the order. Best Buy wasted my time, and insulted my with platitudes such as "I am a consumer too, so I understand time is money" when their actions clearly demonstrate that they do not.

Rude employees

Joe was no help and disrespectful, and curly haired guy in TV's was no help. 1st ask the kid where the items were they only pointed in the direction I've never shopped for this before I was hoping out my job such hard computers are crashing. Went to who I thought was a manager named Joe he just pointed and said yeah it's over there where the giant Apple is don't you see it?
They told me to look for an apple sign not Apple kiosk/station.
Went back to Joe to ask if he was a manager and what his name was. He said no you need Ricardo. I had seen somebody who looked like a Ricardo perit did and I yelled his name and the department he was at not across the store. Twice and he was able to help me. Ricardo decided to tell me to calm down and not be yelling across the store which I wasn't. And when I asked him what I needed Ricardo said "they're right here see you already found them" making a smart a** comment
If it wasn't for my job meeting this immediately I definitely would have went to the UTC area location to shop at that Best Buy not the one here in Sarasota off of 41

Sent back BB laptop, ASUS, which got corrupted within a few days of using it. Sent back, return confirmed and verified. More than a month later, six calls, total three hours waiting on the phone, still no refund. BTW, your Proof of Purchase image upload prevents upload of an image; impossible to comply with specs.

Very hard to work with customer service.

On 1-3-23 I ordered in the store an Onkyo receiver & cables. Tech Support was supposed to install the receiver on 1-14-23. On 1-7-23 I started getting conflicting emails and text messages. The text messages said the order has been canceled and the email said prepare for your delivery. After spending over two hours on hold and text chatting The offshore tech support said yes order is fine. The last text message that came in said everything was canceled. Yes I finally got a cancellation confirmation number. Basically, Tech Support doesn't know what they're doing or what products may or may not be in stock. If you buy from this place, pick it up at the store don't order anything at the store or online. By the way, it's impossible to talk to an employee at the store where you purchased hundreds of dollars worth of equipment.

Horrible place I don't think BestBuy will be in business for to long I'm hoping, A bunch of unprofessional people roaming around with no sense of awareness, Management is so clueless and useless just like the rest of the employees. Do your self a favor and stay away from this place and order online from Amazon.

Talked to management about a situation that happened, complete waste of time His lack of common sense got in his way.

To many young people working here, horrible!

Clerks gave little instruction. I want to cancel membership. Need smarter cclerks that deal with people who are not tech nerds.

Best Buy is a scam!
I purchased an electric scooter online for my son before Christmas on the 19th of December and they said it was ready for pickup. I went there and they did they didn't have anymore. So the lady started she will look at other stores in the area, there was none. So i asked her to look in another city. And then goes i canceled the order. I paid with gift cards that were given to me from people. So they said they can't credit back the cards and they have to mail me ones. They said they would arrive before Christmas so I can get something else. They arrived December 29th. Then I came to check the balance of the gift cards...they only sent back 1/3 of the money they took from me. They are quick to take your money, but not quick to give you a gift card at the store and short you your money when they mail you new gift cards. Yet they sent 4 gift cards 3 had some money. And the 4th one has no money. Best buy has really went downhill with their customer service. And that gives me a reason to not go there ever again... Had to tell me son best buy ruined his Christmas and we have to go somewhere else. Thank you so much best buy!

We bought a computer with a service plan. We've brought it in 3 times. This last time, we were told that backup/restore was a part of our service plan. The backup was done before it was sent out but the restore wasn't done. When I asked about it at pickup I was told that they can put it on a jump drive since we had already signed for the computer. They charged me $6 for the jump drive and said it would be 10-15 minutes. TWO HOURS later, after several questions about if there's a better way, I was asked by the store manager "Do you want your data or not?" He said they can't control transfer speeds and there was nothing he could do. Terrible service. I would rather buy devices online and take them to an independent repair shop next time. It works out to be about the same price and the service is much better

Terrible Customer Service and Order Fulfillment

I ordered a MacBook Pro online on December 16,2022. Best Buy's website indicated the item was in stock and ready to ship with just a few days arrival time estimate. This was an important consideration in my decision to purchase the MacBook from BB. I then received an email informing me my item was scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, December 21st. I received an updated email advising it would arrive the next day instead (Thursday). In is now December 31st and I still have not received the item. The tracking number provided my UPS stated they have created a "label" for the shipment but have not yet received it from BB. I tried contacting customer service via both chat and phone call. The BB customer service agents were essentially not helpful in the least. They rehashed the same information I found myself and are unable to provide me with the actual location and status of my order. One agent erroneously told me BB had already shipped the item to UPS. A check with UPS confirmed their tracking status that they had NOT yet received the item from BB. So, here I sit in the cusp of the New Year sans my MacBook. This has put me in a bad spot as my sons are home on Christmas break from college out of state. My 18-year-old needs a MacBook for his music classes but leaves for gold he on January 6th. We'd expected to have it in hand before Christmas. Now I'll have to pay for separate shipping to get it to him if it doesn't arrive in the next few days. UPS still has not received it from BB. I'm very dissatisfied with Best Buy's inaccurate order information and worthless, hard to reach customer service. In my experience, Amazon has been much better.

We ordered an LG stacked washer/dryer and a dishwasher from our local store, selecting appliance colors based on the fact that one color was "in stock". Delivery was scheduled for 35 days later based on availability of the dishwasher. Everything looked great; we got a notification 3 days ahead with a delivery window and a follow-up the day before the scheduled delivery with a tighter delivery window. We got a checklist of all the things we were supposed to do so the install would go smoothly. Then, on the morning of the delivery, the 3rd party delivery service called to say they were told washer/dryer was backordered and the dishwasher was damaged and there would be no delivery. Backordered? The unit was selected because it was in stock. I went online to the Best Buy site and sure enough, it said I could have one in 4 days! I called their support line...useless. I called the store itself and was directly transferred to the same useless support line. Now I was being told the washer/dryer would not be available until a month later. NOBODY ever contacted me ahead of time to inform me of this. We donated our appliances the day before the delivery because everything was supposedly on track. Best Buy's customer support is horrible! No accurate communication, no response when that poor communication results in a problem. Do yourself a favor and buy whatever your looking for somewhere else!
