The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding installation services, product returns, and customer support. Many reviews highlight issues with rushed installations and poor communication, leading to repeated service calls. Customers frequently encounter difficulties with returns and refunds, often citing long wait times and inadequate support from customer service representatives. While the company offers a wide selection of products and some positive experiences with online orders, the overarching sentiment suggests a need for substantial improvements in service reliability and customer care to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

I use the buy online and pick up at store. Saves time and I can spend more time comparing items. Then at the store I can look around.
I would be out of touch without the Geeksquad. They are
Patient, Im old so tech is hard for me and they make it possible.
I went in on a Sunday with an on-line ad for a flat top stove that was sale priced below what a local scratch and dent store was selling it for. I also had a Best Buy 10% off coupon for new home buyers. The salesman looked at my ad, started writing the sale up and told me the price was $150 more than the printout from the web showed. When I asked why, he told me that sales end on Saturday and since it was the next day, Sunday, the price was $150 more. I thanked him and left. I will go to the scratch and dent store to buy the same stove at $150 less. Really disappointed with Best Buy. It would have been my first purchase from them.
I think Best Buy has had more products that didn't work right out of the box than any other I have ever bought from. The return process at the store is often painful.
Very easy to shop and navigate through the site! And always satisfied with the customer support. Keep it up! 4Stars!
I purchased a Polk-Audio sound bar at the Best Buy in State College, Pa on Jan 31st, 2015. The very first day I started having problems with tuning it off. I had to unplug it to turn off. Since then it will only turn off some of the time. So yesterday February 7th I stopped by the store to ask about it. That's where the problem started.
Don't get me wrong the sound bar has a fantastic sound by the way. The sales person said that he would have to talk to his manager about holding one for me because they here all sold out.
The manager told him to tell me that the only way they would hold one for me would be that I would have to pay for a new one first. What king of business is that? I just paid over $400.00 last week for one.
I have never in my life heard of such a thing. I'm very close to saying that this is a racial thing.
It's not the first time I felt singled out in this store.
The first time I walked in the store I saw a employee that obvious was not a sells person look at me and radioed someone that came rushing up to me immediately asking did I need any help. This person also was not dressed like the other sales people in the store. I sort of forgot that incident until yesterday.
I don't believe that anyone should have to pay to have a product held for you due to a product defect that you just bought.
I would love to hear what head quarters thinks about it. This can not be a store policy and if it is it sucks.
I bought 2 things and my daughter got me 2 things. All were nightmares. A computer (gateway) tower only on a black Friday for the reduce rate of about $900.00 it died even with my coverage that was not covered even though it was mother board and seems all of that model according to the repair guy who wouldn't do it because he knew it would break again and the web review, a ref. That was Maytag and again didn't work had to get Maytag coverage and they had me use blow dryer and dust back even though not even a year-had the matag people finally know I was not playing and they sent someone for real who said everything was loss fixed it worked 3 or 4 month and than trouble again... dryer they said I didn't know how to work it, (I only have owned 2 in 30 years and to prove it crap I bought a cheap dryer placed it same place and it is still working 5 years later the one from best buy lasted not even 5 month used only 3 times because didn't work and no help from best buy so don't buy extended warranty because they seem to have many outs for them. This did teach me best buy seems to have some issue and if the service people helped that would be fine but that has not been my luck.
I ordered my computer for a pretty fair price, I have to say this is a good website and company.
Best Buy almost always has great product and excellent service.
The only reason to place it below a 5 is that there are times when it is difficult to acquire said service. It isn't always easy to find help in the store. And while there are occasionally those employees who would rather chat than help you, I refuse to hold that against the company as a whole.
Great company, excellent service, excellent product. They could afford to higher one or two more folks during heavy traffic times. :)
I've really had my ups and downs here. Depends on what location or manager you deal with.
I love the fact that when you use your house charge that you get 18 mo. With no interest on your purchase.
Not the cheapest or most expensive they are quite competitive and have a great selection and customer satisfaction.
Knock on wood, I've never had a problem purchasing anything from Best Buy or its site.
The only con is the price matching in the store. Ensure when price matching, you have the advertisement ready and if it's Amazon you're price matching that it's Amazon as the seller and not a third party. Many times I've went and the associates almost seem hesitant about honoring their Price Match guarantee. The associates usually have to call over a supervisor to double check and get approval. This could be problematic as there never really seems to be enough workers to begin with. I understand the low staffing as I work in retail as well and I know that budgets don't always allow for optimal staffing. However, they have to work on getting their associates feeling more empowered to help customers.
The Best Buy in Mount Vernon, NY seems to not be the place to shop. This is the only location I've been to where associates won't give you a second glance unless you're buying a big ticket item. It's disappointing because that location is closer to my home. I take an extra 10 minute drive to Central Park Avenue just to get better service.
Bestbuy.com is the best option as the site doesn't discriminate and even offers better add-on suggestions than their store counterparts. The customer reviews are often handy when making your buying decision. Bestbuy stands behind their products (sort of) by offering a protection plan at an additional cost. At times you have to be wary of purchasing a refurbished item. You must pay attention to the filters that are set to ensure you exclude refurbished items if you're looking to purchase new. The Geek squad does certify all refurbished products.
I was extremely enthusiastic when I saw the trailer and I bought it immediately.
However now, I find it too fancy and not realistic anymore. By far, COD 3 Ghosts is the most real experience and I can not get out of it, even after more than 6500 escouade vs. escouade fights!
Usually ok, but lots of times when i visit retail the people dont care about your service, they just want to get you out asap
My cat Morris has long since loved to lay on top of my computer tower while I am online. It's warm and cozy and probably has a great view of the room as far as a cats point of view goes. So it was no surprise when I started noticing a funny noise coming from the inside of my computer when I started it up. The noise finally got so bad that Morris refused to venture on top any longer. It was quite a frightening sound. And then out of the blue the computer would no longer load Windows. Sadly I took my injured lil computer into the Geek Squad ER and prayed that they could perform some life saving procedure that miraculously reunites us like in Soap Operas. They took the computer and within a few days my diagnosis was complete. Death by Hard Drive Failure."O say it ain't so!" "It was so young… etc."
Then the technician mentioned that they could install a new hard drive, do data recovery and reinstall the Windows operating system. He then quoted me a price that almost sent me to the REAL ER. It was almost $700! I could buy a whole new computer for that amount. Feeling like I should probably do some "shopping around" I took my computer home. At work the next day I looked up a few other businesses that could help me but would be me within my budget. I selected Secure Remote Support because they offered me the very best deal on parts and labor. I had my computer back within a week and had all of my pictures, music and files back too. I was afraid I might have lost some very important honeymoon photos. It was less than half of what Geeks Squad was wanting and I felt like I was dealing with an experienced technician not a high school kid in his first job.
Make sure you read all the specs on the electronics. I have bought several tablets online. Only slightly disappointed once.
This is my go too store for everything electronic. My adult children know what they want and this store has it. I love the return policy and the guarentee. Quality is great
Answer: I am sure there is a catch-like a 2 year contract. No one gives you a phone for $1
Answer: All I can say is that you obviously have been very lucky. I was a dedicated customer for 25 years, however, I would do without before I ever spent another dime in a Best Buy!
Answer: I would write a letter to your state's attorney general. There are laws regarding taking advantage of senior citizens. I would specifically ask for documentation from Best Buy in which your grandmother gave them permission to recycle her 18 month old computer. If they cannot produce that document they may be in very big trouble with the state's attorney general. I would also write the BBB and contact your public officials. This I think would be paramount to theft if your grandmother did not give them permission to recycle her computer. On the flip side of things, ASUS is a very good machine. My son is a computer scientist and swears by ASUS. I have three ASUS machines one of which is over 5 years old and it is a workhorse. Unless something significant happens in the ASUS business world, I will continue to buy ASUS!
Answer: Great question. Let us know if you were able to get reimbursed.
Answer: I chose Best Buy tech support because they seemed to offer a good deal on support and I bought my products there. I'll go elsewhere now.
Answer: I dont know? I dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont know
Answer: Write a genuine review for a product you buy from there, get upto $25 gift certificate
