I have been shopping at best buy for a few years. In the last year I bought 2 Samsung tablets for my grandson and myself as well as a Sony camera. Customer service was very good. They have changed their return policy from 30 days to 2 weeks and that isn't enough time to check something properly. I also bought a LG large screen TV and it had a sale sign with free DVD player. I started paying and they said it had ended and refused to give me the sale price or dvd player. I was very upset and ask for supervisor. They would not give me the sale. Normally I would have left the store buy since I had been there so long and all the trouble I did buy it. I didn't go back got a couple of years.
I really like their "geek squad" for assistance with any product purchased at best buy. There a good assortment of prints and they carry ink for all printers. If not in will order for you.
This is a great store, and I hope is stays in business. The service is excellent and Geek Squad - you rock.

I enjoy going on Best Buy's website and looking to see what their deal of the day is, they always have great deals! If it's something I need/want I can order it quickly and have my husband pick it up on the way home! Works perfectly! Oh not to mention, Black Friday sales, some of the sale items can be purchased online and you don't have to fight the crowds! (Not all sale items but some!)

Had to purchase a few e-gift cards for a contest my company ran. When I went to check out online it told me that some information was incorrect and for me to correct it. Only 1 problem, the site doesn't tell you what information they think is wrong. I verified the information and tried several more times. After about 10 minutes of frustration I called customer support. The first time the automated message told me that they cannot assist with purchasing gift cards and disconnected. The second time I called in i just his 0x4 to get to a human. After 20 minutes and 6 different transfers I was connected to a person who said they could help. They put me on hold, AGAIN, and 5 min later the line went dead. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE BEST BUY. YOU SUCK!
I bought a Iphone 7 plus. The salesperson told me there was a $500 rebate on the upgrade from my (less than two weeks old) Iphone 6 plus. So I upgraded.
The rebate was $248 and nobody will take my calls. I went on their website and Facebook and saw other similar complaints. I posted a review and complaint that no-one answers the phone and the website has no alternative but to call the store.- My reply was a link to the website. Never again will I buy anything from Best Buy. They turned me from a huge fan to a avid critic in one transaction.
I've bought 6-7 electronics from Best Buy with no hassles with a return, and once found an item cheaper elsewhere and they promptly matched it
I've had them for 3 yrs., and gladly renewed for another year. Overall they've solved MOST issues on the first try. Yes, at times they have to give it another go. But they DO solve it in the end. So it doesn't change my 5-star rating. And they always ask if you need further help before disconnecting.

Everytime I buy something from Bestbuy i regret it. Its not the worst store at all, but their prices are meh and they don't usually have the products I want in stock. I usually buy just for convenience sake and regret it later. Oh well. They have really good returns policy I'll say.
Our non-profit had an account with Best Buy. One day myself and the board secretary went into a store to buy about $600 worth of merchandise and they would not take a check from us. No, we don't have any problems with finances or bounced checks. They reasoned that since we don't write a lot of checks we were going to bounce one on them. To HELL with Best Buy. Our organization and I individually will NEVER, EVER set foot in another store or look at their website. If they were on fire I would not spit on them.

Answer: All I can say is that you obviously have been very lucky. I was a dedicated customer for 25 years, however, I would do without before I ever spent another dime in a Best Buy!
Answer: I would write a letter to your state's attorney general. There are laws regarding taking advantage of senior citizens. I would specifically ask for documentation from Best Buy in which your grandmother gave them permission to recycle her 18 month old computer. If they cannot produce that document they may be in very big trouble with the state's attorney general. I would also write the BBB and contact your public officials. This I think would be paramount to theft if your grandmother did not give them permission to recycle her computer. On the flip side of things, ASUS is a very good machine. My son is a computer scientist and swears by ASUS. I have three ASUS machines one of which is over 5 years old and it is a workhorse. Unless something significant happens in the ASUS business world, I will continue to buy ASUS!
