Well…. I came back to try this site after some years away, only to find that it hasn't changed at all. And most of the members haven't even changed their pictures. Some are still active some others are just ghost profiles left by people who walked away long ago and Greg hasn't deleted them. I think he holds onto people so the site looks like there's a lot of members when in fact it's probably taking a huge hit. When he was younger, he was nicer but now he's just become a bitter old man like a lot of the queens on there..

Amazing that this site continues to function. The guys I've met here have been very nice overall, but the platform is seriously outdated. The user interface is archaic. Search functions are horrible. This site functions just as it had over 20 years ago without any betterment or investment by the owner/moderator. I cancelled premium membership and was blocked from even accessing my profile to delete. Now, my profile and photos are forever used on the site as if I'm a member. The site delivers a message that they're providing access only to premium members. The moderator is taking advantage of the community at large. Steer clear, there are many other forums that don't steal your information and prevent you from accessing or deleting your information. Cannot find words to fully express my frustration over this useless, rude and greedy moderator.

Not only ahve I been locked out over a month now but my message count has been going down making this site seem so much more shady than I thought, First I was asked by the owner to video chat with him nd when I declined he deleted my account 3 times! Sorry I have standards and they werent met.

As for this being a free site? Its usually locking folks out just after they start messaging back and forth in an attempt to get you to pay for a site that must have been designed by an infant in 1980. Truly super clunky and run by a nut job. PS I am told by many he reads all messages and filters some private messages out.

This is the absolute worst of the gay dating sites. People who have walked away from the site and have not been active for years are still counted as users. People who pay for the site and don't renew (because it truly is not worth what Greg is charging) get locked out until they pay again. That's extortion. That's what the site is like. Plus it looks like it was designed by a child.

Every single night between 8p-10p EST the ability to send messages to other members fails to work.
Me and multiple friends on the site have tested and proven it - we report it - sometimes it gets fixed for a day but 98+% of the time the chat function doesn't work after 8pm - which is when a majority of working people want to use the site - totally dsyfunctional and complaints are totally ignored.

Allows you to join. Then blocks access to messages for days trying to force you to pay for a membership. ALOT of glitches. They are not helpful and they are typically out to get your money. Once you do pay, payments will continue to accrue month after month. There's way too many dating sites out there. This one should be avoided like a plague.

Being in 2 partnerships with white men 17yrs and 6 yrs. I am convinced that Bear 411 is a site for white men connecting as fair weathered friends, their connections and marriages. Furthermore; a site for minorities or diversity "no," I guess they are afraid the black will rub off, then we talk about the GOP, last I wouldn't refer to the smell of paper mail on Bear as stuck up, you have to have the qualifications. However, men with their bolts not tight is how to define it.

The Bear411 site is using a very outdated and inflexible software framework and user interface. It needs to be completely redone. They should look to bearforest to see how it could be done. They should then try to improve upon the bearforest approach rather than stick with the very limiting website it offers now - they have the momentum of membership because nobody can leave so you end up using it and paying because you are stuck with a profile there anyway and everyone else is stuck so you should be getting a lot of traffic there.
My biggest complaint then is the issue of ownership: These people have the Luciferian Illuminati Ayn Rand mindset that precedes someone taking ownership of your copyrighted profile and image: Sort of like if you are stupid enough to allow it, then blame yourself. So you end up paying for your mistake of not reading the fine print on the membership agreement - since you cannot remove your profile and 1 image when you leave. So you are stuck even if you want to disassociate from bear411. Too bad for the bi guys who end up falling in love with a female. He has to admit to her he has a bear411 profile or lie if her gay friend says he saw your profile there. (Wouldn't you tell your straight girlfriend if you saw the guy she is dating on bear411?)

Had issues with a member! Asked for Help! Got No Response! After asking several times, i asked to delete my Profile several times! No Response! I read a review of a guy having the same problem... He says to write something negative on your profile note about this site... And then they will block you an only then! They'll remove your profile from the site! So! That's What I Did! I believe it worked! I met Mostly Great Guys on this site! Don't get me wrong! But the Web Master IS & $#*! HOLE! A Real JERK! You loose control over your profile! And you're his Slave! Unfortunately Until You Break Away! As many don't Yet Know How To Do! Please be careful of this site! Bearwww is much Much better! I've dealt with Fred for years! He is a Great Web Master Guaranteed bros!

I have only good things to say about the men I have had the pleasure of chatting with on Bear411over the years. However, buddybear, the webmaster / proprietor is an altogether different story. Last week I attempted to update my profile picture. He did not accept it, even though it adhered in all points to his guidelines. Since he does not avail himself to any questions, I put a note in the text body of my profile nothing vicious, a quick, even humorous remark. He promptly deleted the entire text of the profile, I was a paying member and I really hate his extreme "my way or no way" attitude. Of course I'm a stubborn bastard as well. I asked him to delete my profile and got for the first time what I had asked for.
