We had a tub to shower conversion it only takes a day which was nice but way over priced, we also had the Wayne's coat put on the wall quite the shisty job lots of caulk and not a very good job, photos are even after they came back to fix, took 2 months of problems until it finally was fixed and just about as bad as it originally was, would not recommend. The caulk and the Wayne's coat attracts everything like a magnet. The shower stall has a curve to it so the water drains but you feel like your standing on a inward slope from both sides.
We love our new Bath Fitters shower! Tyson was wonderful to meet not only our needs, but our wants as well!
The installer, James, did a fantastic job of taking out our old shower and installing the new Bath Fitters shower! He was great to answer all of our questions & explain all that we needed to know. He was very professional, timely & cleaned up after himself.
We would definitely recommend Bath Fitters; great service, great product & great price!
Installer couldn't turn water off and the job wasn't done, if I knew I had to babysit I would of taken the day off. So he left the job and they won't refund my 2000 deposit
On Jul 10th, we had a sales rep come see us, gave us a quote, and we signed a contract for a shower stall refit. She took measurements, and told us we could expect a tech to begin the installation in 2-3 weeks.,
On Aug 3rd the tech came and ripped out the old shower stall. Only then did he realize that they had ordered the wrong size shower base. He told us that it would take about three weeks to get the correct size from the factory in Canada. So no shower available to use.
On Sept 2nd, the tech returned with the correct base, and installed the base and surround. He told us it would take about two weeks to get the glass in to finish the installation. So still, no shower. On Sept 23rd, we were called and were told the glass was in, but could not get an appointment to have it installed until 10 days later. So, another month went by.
On Oct 2nd, the tech returned and finished the installation of the glass.
Therefore, we were without use of this shower for a total of 8 weeks. I contacted the dealership and requested a discount equivalent to 15% of the total price as compensation for out inconvenience and loss of use, The owner/ manager flatly refused and only offered us a discount that equaled 7% of the total price. I considered this an insult. I. attempted to contact the corporate headquarters a total of 4 times. No one would respond to my emails, or talk to me on the phone. No one would return messages left.
The product we got is satisfactory, and the tech did a great job of installation. However, I would recommend you using a different dealership than the Clearwater, Fl one if you want a timely job done. And I was very disappointed with the Customer suppport from this company.
In January I ordered two bathrooms in my house to be redone. Late February Bathfitters came in to do first Bathroom and I could not be happier with the result My second bathroom was to get started today. I was worried with the covid virus they may cancel. I called them this morning to find out if anyone was coming to start the job I left a message asking someone to call me to let me know what was going to happen, I never got a call back. I'm annoyed! A huge business never called to tell me the job was cancelled due to this virus and that It would be rescheduled. I don't expect them to give me a new date with this uncertainty we are all living with. A Call back would of been appreciated I called the guy who sold me the job and he told me the company was mandated to stop working and that I will be getting a call about the cancellation. Again I never got a call. When this pandemic is over. Will they call me to schedule a new date or will they just show up one day in the future.
After 8 years the shower doors came loose Kirt came out fixed the doors with in the 1/2 hour of his call the doors were fixed he did a great job I would tell anybody to use BathFitters there service is great and the product is excellent. Barbara L.
They did the work ad planed. Some problem occurred but ead handled professionally and timely. Friendly kind professionally done.
This is our second, custom-made, walk in shower. We love the product that much.
We had to special order the wall length in order to keep the entire unit seamless. This makes cleaning SO EASY! The quality of the material, the installation and the friendliness of the employees keep us returning each time we buy and fix up a "new-to-us" old home. I will say that this time we had a major hiccup in communication (the store manager had a family emergency... these things happen). In the end, Bathfitters made it right by us with great customer service.
Here is my experience:
I had someone come out and give me an estimate on a new tub. I knew the estimate was kind of high but was ok with it due to the convenience. A few days later the sales person came back to my home uninvited and I was watching my 12 month old child. Keep in mind I work two jobs have a pregnant wife and a small child to support currently. I signed the document quickly as he said it was just a minor addition to the job. The next day I looked at the change order and it basically explained that they would have to break my ceramic shelf (1 of 2) and replace it with a smaller plastic shelf with some type of sheething to hide the damage to to the underlying tile. It specifically contained written in verbiage including not responsible for cracked or damaged existed tile and may leave unfinished edges. Just what you want to hear adding hazards to your tub while you will be having babies and toddlers in there. I called the sales rep the next day and cancelled the job.
I waited a few months and never received a credit so I called back. I eventually got the owner on the phone who said I am out of luck and they were keeping my $425 deposit. Meanwhile I did not place nor knew of any deposit. The contract does not specify the deposit amount and I paid for the entire job initially. In my opinion it is really pathetic to pay $1700 to have a cover put on your tub then when the company realizes that they cannot do the job as specified they try to get you to cancel so that they can take the deposit. No person in there right mind would allow someone to come in and damage there bathroom and charge them $1700 for it. Futhermore, I called right after getting the change order and the owner would not honor the 3 day cancellation policy because it was not 3 days from when I originally purchased the service but it was 3 days from when I received new information about what the job entailed.
The contract also states that deposit only applies to custom items and I specifically asked the sales person something to the extent that how could I know that this tub would fit exactly over mine and he responded that this was a stock tub. Up to this point the owner is staying stubborn and not even recognizing that people do not want hazards installed into there home.
I have tried to contact this company twice and neither time have they bothered to contact me.
Answer: Total installation took 8 weeks for us due to measuring mistakes and having to get components from Canada. Base and surround is one install, then you have to wait for custom glass to be fabricated and be shipped.
