They will get you to sign a contract and not tell you that you have 3 days before canceling a project. Do not go with them, they will authorize your card before even starting a project. The salesmanship are not true the managers are wrong. Do not go with bath fitter. Find someone who is honest and true up front and not say things trying to get over on you. They keep your down payments and don't want to return it. Talkkng about Arkansas law. They are a rip off..
Purchased our home 6yrs ago. Prior owner had Bath Fitter install / redo tub and represented that it provides a lifetime warranty. I called to report noticing the tub cracking and break down in the caulking. Received company call back who advised their warranty does not apply but would send someone as a courtesy to inspect my concerns. Rep showed up, recaulked the entire tub and took pictures of obvious cracks in bottom of tub to send to company for their response the next day. Week later I got a call back in response to my BBB complaint I filed due to no response. Tabitha acknowledged the tub cracking, reiterated the warranty does not apply but would offer to redo the tub for "warranty rate" of $1800 with a 5yr warranty. The work was shoddy to begin with and obviously has poor product quality if cracks occur in a short period of time. And an offer to do it again so we can experience the same outcome? The Company's Customer Service stinks. The cost of the tub "band aid" is more costly than a proper and quality replacement.
I had tiles in my shower and Bath Fitter was to replace the tiles with their vinyl product. They promised that the work would come in one piece and I would not be able to see the seams or grout/silicone lines. The finished product is horrible. The silicone color they used does not match the wall pieces so it stands out like a sore thumbs. The lines were are not uniform/consistent, some lines are thicker and some are thinner. The seat in the shower is not level so water accumulates on the seat and dirt and stain stick to the seat. The pattern on the wall pieces where the cuts are do not match. They finished the shower without a door. They supposed to order a door for it, it has been over five months and they haven't contact me about the issues I'm unhappy with or let me know when they will install the door. There are other issues too technical for me to explain. I wouldn't recommend Bath Fitter to anyone.
We hired Bath Fitter to renovate our en suite shower, install happened the end of August 2021. They came out to take measurements for the custom glass on Sept. 1st and told us it would take about 2 weeks for the glass to be cut and shipped... due to 'supply chain issues' the custom glass was finally ready to be installed 4 months later on Jan 24th 2022. The workman was here on site for all of 30 minutes before he told us that "they gave him the wrong kind of metal framework" and that he could not complete the install (after leaving a small pile of aluminum shavings on my porch, a sliver of which I had to remove from my dog's paw). We expected to hear from Sarah the scheduler shortly after that to reschedule, we still have not received a call from them over 6 weeks later. It's now been more than 6 months since the initial install. When I call the main line, Customer Service can only send me to Sarah's VM (where you get a recording saying "the mailbox is full" and can not leave a message. When I call CS back to tell them that I was not able to leave a message for Sarah they tell me that "they will message her directly via their internal system to have her contact us" which, of course, never happens. I can sympathize with the fact that this poor woman is swamped with work, but that being the case shouldn't they, I dunno, maybe hire another person to help?!? At this point this is an abandoned project and we are currently looking for legal representation. 0/10 experience - would not recommend to my worst enemy.
Bath Fitter did two of my 3 bathrooms last year and did a great job. We are very happy with how both bathrooms turned out. We did the painting and flooring and new vanity, mirror and lights to make it look modern and first class. We priced out other contractors who were way higher. Now we are ready to do the master bathroom. This review is voluntary and non-solicited.

Everything was done in one day. Brandon was great and I love the way everything turned out. I would definitely recommend Bathfitter.
It's been 3 months since shower was installed, and they have yet to come back and install the shelving. Hot and cold hooked up backwards, first time using shower, the knob came off in my hand. There silicone caulk doesn't stick. Smeared caulking all over the walls and i can't paint over it because paint won't stick to silicone. Just an all-around terrible install.
My wife and I ordered a tub removal and walk in shower. Due to her cancer to make it easier for her. She passed unexpectedly am moving and selling home as is bath fitters won't allow me to cancel order and give a deposit refund partial or whole
Each division is privately owned so corporate can't help
Dealer in Kentucky I feel is being unreasonable
Took off work today because service from Bathfitters was coming out to do a shower for me. I called at 930 and ask the customer service rep. About technician coming out at 1030 she said they cancelled the appointment. Sorry I wasn't notified and no appointments are open today now. Poor business to customer relationship.
Our salesperson measured our tub twice ( two different days) and that was not enough. The one day install is now ten days and counting. The shower header for the glass door and the door itself were short. Both items had to be reordered. Also no corner shelf was installed.
The fixtures are all not aligned with drain. I have a shower curtain temp so we can shower since it's the only bathroom.
The pic with shower curtain is where the glass door should be!
For the high cost I expected better service or at least compensation.
Installer cut wall surround crooked. 1/2inch gap where wall meets tub, ended up with a 1 and 1/2 inch beading of caulk that didn't stick. Then he used his finger to try to smooth it. They make tools for this. Supposed to put backing behind grab bars, didn't so they are just in green sheetrock. Cut up my linoleum cutting old shower base out and didn't repair. Very disappointed, I've done construction before with a new faucet and shower head there is less than 2 thousand in materials, do not pay more than 3 thousand for this lousy new shower
Had my shower redone in my bathroom and Shawn Brock, Branch Manager of bathfitters in Wilmington, NC didn't like the survey answers I gave. He replied to my survey and said when he came to my residence for my inspection, I said I loved the shower and he said it didn't take 4 to 5 months as told to me by Danielle, office person, but took a total of 10 wks. Well to make a long story short, It took 10 weeks because I said I wasn't waiting 4 to 5 months when promised Sep by the salesman. I kept calling and they came in 10 wks had I not called it would have been 4 to 5 months. After receiving his email concerning my survey, I called the office and Shawn answered the phone and was not nice and as I was talking he hung up the phone. He was nice until you get the product and they get paid but because I didn't give 5stars, he emailed me being sarcastic. My parts are lifetime warranty. Hope I never need to call them because of Shawn's behavior. Can't believe they charge so much money and sell you on buying it then can turn around and be rude. I reported him to the Corporate office and will definitely make sure everybody I know never do business with Bathfitters from Wilmington NC ever! I am glad I took pictures of before and after. It looks ok but nothing like Richard the salesman said or like in the magazine shown to me. The Survey I filled out was my opinion and Shawn didn't like it. Well I feel as a customer, I have the right to say what I experienced and feel. Stop sending out surveys to customers if you don't want true answers. Hanging up on a customer whose home you may have to go back to for a problem is not cool. If any problems, Shawn Brock isn't allow to come back to my home EVER. Hopefully the Corporate Office will send someone more Professional and not email the customers with an attitude who gives them less than 5 stars. I can see if a problem arises in the future, I will have to contact an Attorney. I have pictures before, during and after. Not worth the money and certainly not worth the "SARCASM" only from Shawn Brock who is a Branch Manager of Bathfitters. People be ware Please! These people are using COVID as a farse to delay your work 10 weeks or more but in reality, they don't have enough people to do the job which is why it is a 2 day job instead of one.
I've had Bathfitters back 9 times in the last 2 years to fix a variety of issues including walls installed improperly, coming unglued, leaks under shower door, and caulk constantly separating from wherever its applied. They do come to fix these things when called... at their convenience. The caulk issues persist but I'm tired of calling to make appointments.
THROUGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL! We set up an appointment last week; someone yesterday called to confirm -- using my time again. And then this AM, after setting up my morning sked around the appt. They CANCEL on the account that "... I live in a high-rise." What, as Rachel Maddow says, horse puckey! I live in a 3-storey building. That is a high-rise? I have a sneaking suspicion why they cancelled at the last minute --but it tells me what UNPROFESSIONAL chickens they are -- and maybe I'm better off taking my business elsewhere. SCHMUCKS!
Barry was the installer for my new shower. He arrived early and finished before dark. He was very professional and did a beautiful job. He removed my old tub enclosure and installed a beautiful walk in shower with glass doors. I am very happy with my new shower. I would highly recommend Bath Fitters.
Thank you for the excellent service I received from customer service; and sales consultant. Most of all for the Installer Michael Mitchell. Michael arrived early but texted me to let me know. Michael kept me informed before and after the installation of my acrylic liner; to the newly installed doors and new walls. I could give Micael a "perfect 10" in customer service. Please let his senior boss Scott Osborn know. About Mi
Bath Fitters installer did such a good job remodeling my tub and surround. Dominic my installer had a tough time dealing with the bathroom being out of square and when he was done you would never know there was any problem. A true professional. I would use them again. Thank you Bath Fitters.
A part from the pretty long delay after signing for the bathroom remodelling, the technician called Derek was just fantastic. Very open, cooperative, nice to be with and very professional. The was done ahead of the allocated time. It was amazing.
Derek was just perfectly excellent. We are overwhelmed. It this type of staff that the company should count.
Thanks Derek for representing Bath Fitter so well that I won't hesitate to recommend Bathfitter to of mine as far the technician would be like Derek
Everyone was very happy, pleasant, and accommodating in the beginning. However, all that went out the window once I paid for the shower stall. The floors are slippery. My husband almost fell twice the first time he used the new shower. They had advertised that it was a no -slip floor at the time of the contract signing. The customer service person was absolutely condescending and rude to me when I had called to schedule the installation of the shower door. The installer spent over 14 hours installing the shower but they had said it would take less than 8 hours. The shower door was the wrong size. Hence, needing to reschedule the door installation.
The shower does look attractive. But the company is all about the sale; poor follow-up, mistakes in measurement, rude and condescending intersections after the sale, way off estimates of time frames, and misleading advertising. I would have found another way to install a new shot if I had to do it all again.
I called bathfitters to change out my existing tub to a walk-in shower. Looks great. But the design of the shower doors is backwards. I called the guy out that put in the unit and he told me that that's the way they are... He told me to tie a string to the loop on the door to use the correct door. WTF!
The way it's designed you can't use the handles on the doors that have the seal. I'm not done with this... whoever designed this should be fired!
The photo shows the outside door that seals... notice the handle. If you get into the shower, you have to push the door closed with no handle.
Answer: Total installation took 8 weeks for us due to measuring mistakes and having to get components from Canada. Base and surround is one install, then you have to wait for custom glass to be fabricated and be shipped.
