Would not shut and leaked. I could go on forever and salesperson admitted the fellow was on a job training program. It took us almost one year to get things fixed thanks to a Kevin who helped us. You cannot complain to anyone in Tennessee as local owners are in total control. I sent two letters to Springfield TN and no answer. We are elderly and they played the game that if we wanted to wait till the next day we would pay the higher price and trust me the lower price was way, way tooooo much.

We ordered a new bath fitter for my 83-year-old mom's shower. They advertise a slip-proof floor, which is totally false. The floor is so slippery that she fell yesterday. What a scam. She has never fallen before in her old shower floor. I can't even tell you how disappointed we are.

Bathtub replacement
April 1, 2025

The bathtub itself is fine, but the installation work left a lot to be desired—especially considering the cost. Just two weeks after it was installed, the door started leaking. They came back and sealed the outside, which not only looks sloppy but feels like a band-aid fix rather than a proper solution.
Before installation, I specifically mentioned that I'd be redoing the floor and asked to have the tub edges tucked under it by removing a few tiles. That request was completely ignored. Now there's a noticeable 1/4-inch gap that I had to fill with silicone myself. Ironically, they had no issue breaking a tile in the back near the toilet, which makes me wonder why it was so difficult to do the same where it actually mattered—at the front.
Overall, the lack of attention to detail and disregard for customer input makes it hard to recommend their services. For the price, I expected much better craftsmanship. Moreover, I find it unacceptable to receive a written communication signed only as "BathFitter." Regardless of the issue, I believe it's a matter of basic professionalism to include a representative's name when addressing a customer, especially when justifying something. A company name alone doesn't offer accountability or a personal point of contact.

Piece of crap
December 16, 2024

Do not do it. It does not last a lifetime, hard to clean, terrible installation of subpar materials. Water filled up behind the bathtub against the wall and leaked into my kitchen. Now we need a whole new bathtub. I really regret ever using this place!

When the sales rep comes he will give you a price quote that is supposedly only good if you sign a contract that day. Don't believe it. It's just their way to get you to sign on the spot. If you don't sign that day they will call you again in a couple days with the same or lower price. Don't be rushed into making a decision because the price will go up if you don't sign that day.

I paid ten thousand dollars to have a walking shower installed. In order for me to get into the shower I have to climb over the toilet. I nearly fell 3 times getting into the shower.I am a senior with a disability. And I now need help getting in and out of the shower. They told me to install a new shower head. First guy said they cannot do anything that I would have to purchase it and install it. I called again and had a manager come out.He basically told me the same Thing.I told him how unhappy I was and they were not living up to their warranty. He said. He will Talk to his manager It's going to take a while
Before anybody gets back to me.I don't know how long a while is check with his manager and see what he could do about the shower head. But nothing could be done about climbing over toilet. I was also told it was one day to put it in. One of the reasons I went with bath fitter. It took 3 days

No integrity, Dishonest, Shotty work.
March 27, 2024

We paid extra so the tub and shower surround would both have matching marble pattern. Unfortunately they came from different dye lots, so the tub is just white with a couple tiny thin streaks here and there, but you really have to look hard for them. It looks like a white tub with A marbled beige surround. It's infuriating and I hate it every time I see it. People in designer businesses should be perfectionists. And people paying for such should get what they paid for. We did not. There were a couple of inches of water damage on the wall beside the tub. Instead of cutting and removing the damaged portion of wall near the tub, The guy ripped it, ruining the wall for a good ten inches around the corner where no damage had been done or needed to be done. They only offered to put a piece of vinyl over it rather than fixing it properly. We declined. We were told there would be greenboard to prevent mildew via osmos. Knowing that mildew had been a problem with the old surround, this was the main reason that we choose them. The installer used only a few strips, no more than a couple of inches each of greenboard. When I called to complain, the company said the greenboard was not necessary. It was only there to hang the surround wall on. So no mildew prevention after all. Another lie. We were told they wouldn't drill the hole for the shower without asking us for height. That was not true. They had to come out and add a swan connector after so that my husband could use the shower. Additionally the tub sits crooked by one inch. Apparently bubble levels are foreign to them. Also the tub creaks. Especially when I put my feet at the end to sit up after washing my hair. It doesn't inspire a feeling of good stable work at all. Lastly, we paid extra for a rain shower. We were told the package came with a different shower head which we Could keep since we paid for it. I thought," Awesome.
Maybe we'll use it for an outdoor shower." But of course, true to pattern, the installer took it with him. I regret every penny I gave them. Do yourself a favor, get the work done elsewhere.

Poor customer service
February 19, 2024

Had to complete shower stall with doors installed did a very good job. Excellent product but the customer service is terrible. Scheduled a return visit for a minor repair. Never called prior to arrival. Showed up an hour early we were not prepared because it was morning told them they had to come back in an hour. Very very rude on the phone. Do not recommend Bath Fitters. Now they called me and want to reschedule for two weeks later. Very very poor service. Find a different company.

Unhappy Customers!
January 19, 2024

I had to have my shower replaced due to popping and cracking walls. It took over 6 weeks to get it done and they canceled once.
When they came to do the job they refused to change tge original shower door which has been a problem since day one. This was the reason for my original service call. I have had to have them out over 10 time to fix this door yet, they refuse to replace. So much for their so called life time warranty! Its's very selective. Buyer beware! Stay away, very far away… Not worth the money or the aggravation!

If I could give ZERO stars I would - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REMODELS.
I have reached out to both Better Business Bureau of NC and Attorney General's Office of NC and am consulting with attorney now.
The company in this story is Bath Fitters Garner NC. *******899.
The Manager is Cole, cell # *******749.
March 2023 – the salesman, Andrew Ward, came out to look at our project and give us a price. Andrew took a minimal amount of pictures, gave us a price and we gave him a 20% deposit.
April 6th, 2023 – we were contacted by their office personnel to schedule the install. My husband took the following Monday/Tuesday off because they guaranteed in writing and over the phone, and in their commercials, that it was a 2 day turnkey job.
April 10th, 2023 – my husband takes two days and the first service man arrives around 8 a.m., walks in our home, looks at the bathroom and says directly to my husband "I can't do this" and says it will cost you more money for me to come out here again. My husband tells him to leave our property and calls their office and speaks to Cole the manager. Cole is to return my husbands call this afternoon.
April 11,2023 – my husband then goes to their office to speak with Cole in person due to Cole not returning his call as promised the day before. Cole has no excuse but then proceeds to get another service tech from another state on Facetime with Cole and my husband and this tech says he can do the job and he can be there on May 1,2023. Mind you at this time, my husband has explained several times that my parents will be in on May 9 and this HAS TO BE COMPLETED and usable by then because they are in their 80's and need a walk in shower and grasp bars for stability.
May 1,2023 – my husband takes two more days off to meet with the new technician. He begins the rough in (knocking out old shower / tub) and then on day two, he THEN realizes the pan he has for bottom of shower is wrong size so he has to order that and will be back next week.

At this point my husband is out of days off so I take two days off starting Monday 8,2023 so he can finish up, clean up and get final inspection. This service man was too busy taking other calls all day from whoever to ever ask me where I wanted the grasp bars placed in MY shower and he does NOT clean up the bathroom after completing the job nor does he caulk the bathtub faucets and grasp bars so my husband had to stay up until 1 am the night of Monday May 8,2023 to ensure everything was completed for my parents to come in on Tuesday May 9,2023.

We took a total of 6 days off after we were told the job would only take two days total. This is most of our reason for the dispute plus the shotty workmanship, disregard for our home (cleanliness that was ignored) and bad finished product.

We then started calling Cole about all the issues. At first he said they would give us $2500 refund and doors for our new shower install. We declined on the premise that we do not want this business back in our home ever again with the shotty work and unprofessional workers that represent them. He then advised, after several phone calls and text messages, that he could raise that to half total refund which would be $4500.00. We said we could live with that. We have been playing cat and mouse since that time (June 2023). He says "the check will be in Friday" about once every two weeks and that "he will call or personally deliver it" when it comes in and never calls or delivers. Then his excuse is that the check is stuck in Canada because of personnel problems. I do not even believe he has an office in Canada and know for a fact that he is just blowing more smoke around to not face us or pay us what he verbally and text us stating he would pay.

Cole is completely full of excuses and this has been going on for 4 1/2 months now. We are begging for the end of this disaster.

Warning Bathfitters' are a nightmare
August 22, 2023

If I could leave 0 stars I would! Bathfitter installed our bath and hardware incorrectly and broke pipes. We did not know until the basement flooded right into the new sheet rocked ceilings and new LED high hats.
So they sent a plumber.
The plumber neglected to shut off the main correctly and left a slow but steady leak in a rarely used part of the basement.
This leaked and we did not realize until the concrete which is very porous could not absorb any more water. Needless to say we had a huge water damage and mold situation which required remediation at our expense.
We were instructed by the restoration company White Glove Restoration to leave the industrial blowers and dehumidifiers going 24/7 bc the concrete was soaked.
If we didn't we would have an additional (new) mold colonies growing.
This made our electric bill increase by about 100- to 120.00 dollars per month.
They refused to communicate with us.
We called corporate and we're told we had to call the franchise.
We did so to no avail.
So we called Ally bank who financed the service.
They were sent numerous emails, photos and video but decided the matter was resolved.
Of course, Bath Fitters nor the bank care.
I am paying the payments on time each month because I am contractually obligated to do so.
What are Bath Fitters' contractual obligations?
To provide competent and quality service, right?
Well, they are neither competent or quality service providers.
If I could attach pics and video here, I would.
Bottom line, Do NOT trust Bath Fitter.
They are not a customer service driven company.
Once they sell you they'll ghost you if there is a problem like a bad one night stand.

Had a consultant come, very little info on the actual bath Reno, lots of stories that had nothing to do with what we wanted, then started trashing other companies, and got annoyed when he realized we weren't impressed with trash talk. Too expensive, walls, floor, 2shelves, corner seat,,over $8000.00!
No doors, plumbing, or safety rails! Waste of time!

Deserve negative rating. DON'T WASTE MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT. Ridiculously bad and unprofessional Installers from bathfitter franchisee. Bathfitter survives just by TV advertisements. All promises in ads and their Brochures are fake and far from reality. Their warranty certificate that comes only at installation has restrictive terms than promised through brochures and contracts. Totally unfair business practice towards the end user.
On the day of installation itself I complained major issues, like uneven corners, flexing noise, inconsistent wide gaps, uneven wide caulking, water pooling etc. Responses to complaints come as late as two to three months, that too after reminders. Four tech visits were just to give lectures that all those deficiencies are the company standards.
I am proceeding with a legal case through small claims court. Anyone wants to join are welcome.

The measurer told us to ceiling, they said layer I changed that agreement, which I did not, later they said measures were only to end tile area, which again was false, I never dealt with the rudness and bullying, so after some disagreement, I screamed, I had no control and no say, they did what they wanted, and without permit, they left me and the job, told me that I was wrong. That's a hoot, they mess up measurements, then blame customer for not completing what was agreed on, and promised. Quality plumbing, which was only thin plastic cover over the water lever.
No green board was used either, but beware what is told and what is completed is totally opposite.

Disappointed!
July 10, 2023

Nice install. But found out it has been slow leaking for more than a year. Bath Fitter Lifetime warranty is just for the tub and enclosure, not the plumbing which was done incorrectly and they say they will not cover the repairs and new dry wall that needs to be replaced. Very disappointed in that the leak did start within their one year warranty period but was not discovered until after that period, so they will not cover cost to repair. A bit disappointed in Bath Fitter of Utah!

Bathfitter tub to shower conversion Installed in July 2022.
Shower curtain rod hanger L rod too short. Multiple people back 6 times to 'fix' it!
Last visit by 2 people STILL not fixed after nearly a year on 06/16/2023.

They consistently keep sending the same short L Rod and apologizing about it.

Outside of that 'mistake' sales people were very pressing & didn't really consider what we were asking for!

My advice if you are looking at Bathfitter & see this AVOID! Expensive & not worth the money.
FIND ANOTHER SOURCE, OR HIRE A LOCAL PLUMBER & BUY FROM A LOCAL STORE!
