I contacted bark.com recently, regarding the maintenance of my house roof gutters. Steve Rivest was interested in this job.He inspected the future work side the same day, and performed the actual work day after. He provided several pictures, before the work was done and after the job was finished. I paid him for the job the agreed price. Steve was very
Professional and explained all particulars of the job performed on site. I recommend Steve to everyone without any doubt. A few days latter Steve visited my sister in low house. She needed second opinion regarding her gutters condition. His opinion was honest, very professional, and free. Steve saved the home owner $1700, the previous company was going to charge for not needed work. I was lucky to meet Steve, and I hope there is more like him. Booked a call to discuss the benefits of elite pro, didnt hear from them.
Leads also sending requests via the platform and we dont receive any email notification for when leads contact us

Very professional service. Dan went out of his way to get my TV, sound bar & booster set up, I did not have the correct stand & TV was too big for recess. He went & got correct stand & fitted & connected everything. Did not charge for extra Will definitely use his business again. Good value, tidy, friendly & very knowledgeable. James & his team from 'York style home improvement' replaced a total of 11 fence panels.
Good price & super quick, despite some tricky bits like the tree roots & the ivy.
About the only issue was communications, there was delay while some of the panels were pressure treated, over a weekend, so we weren't sure what was happening, but then they turned mid-afternoon on Monday & 4 hours later, job done.

Video sent to Keith of work and trees to be cut and quote of 700-800 approximately given. When the 3 of them arrived the new price was 1350 from Keith and we accepted it and unfortunately did not barter. They planned to be with us the next day as well probably. We considered the long journey and 3 men working for 12 hours and acceptedbsnd probably the next day.
Unfortunately Keith left about 4: hours later and the 2: remaining finished about 2-3; hours early. Keith wasn't there so we handed the money agreed cash over at 6pm. Sorry we didn't barter the price and ask for a receipt.

I'm a software developer. I run a small company. Don't get leads from this website. The leads are garbage. The "leads" are just regular people who have no idea how much software development services cost. The website doesn't ask the leads for budgets and doesn't give you any information about who is posting the project before you purchase the lead. 100% of leads from Bark.com have been people who have zero funding for a idea they thought of late at night.

All leads are screened by an automated system, and we have a credit return policy which covers any contact details which are not working. We feel this is the fairest system we can have as we are not a commission based system that guarantees work, and only provide contact details for enquiries placed with us.
We do allow all customers to add additional details to their requests and inform them that professionals pay to use our service. We advise all professionals to respond to the best filled-out leads in order to ensure they are dealing with the most convertible leads.

Bark is a scam for providers. Simple.
Bark, mis-sells bids, and sells sold bids.
My bet is that bids can be sold dozens of times over! Someone should investigate this!
Anyone seeking providers on this site is essentially bait for providers to pour money into Bark.
The cost to unwitting bidding providers FAR OUTWEIGHS any benefit.
The ombudsman should sort this mess out and compensate all the mis-sold bids.
