We've bought 4 phones (1 Android, 3 iPhones) and 2 headsets (Airpods) and all of the devices, even those only in "good" or "fair" condition, have always been excellent.

This site has saved us many hundreds of dollars over the years. I tell everybody about it.

I should point out that I reviewed phones for a living for over a decade with MobileBurn.com, so I know something about this stuff.

I bought an Apple Pencil (2nd gen) in excellent condition and it really did come in excellent condition! It also shipped very fast! I've bought other things from them in the past, and they were all also great! Even the ones that I didn't purchase in "excellent" condition. I wouldn't waste my money when you can get something that looks and works like new for much cheaper!

This was my 1st time ordering a renewed phone online and I must say I am beyond impressed with Back Market. I ordered the "excellent" condition and my phone is literally brand new. No scratches, no scuff marks, no finger marks and runs smooth as butter. I've had my S22 ultra for a little over a month now and I love it. Such a great experience that I'm looking for new phones for my parents now and I have no doubt that Back Market will deliver again. I knew specifically what I wanted - ie both the product, generation, etc - and got fed up with various sellers on a very well known auction site. Back market offers a wide variety of choices at various price points. Also - importantly for my piece of mind - they shipped my items either the same day or the next day and I think I got them 2 days later. Condition was exactly as described.

My wife and I have bought several phones from Back Market over the last few years. We had been very happy and recommend the site to others. The iphone xs that my wife got about 9 months ago had a weak battery, so we had to go through the return and order a replacement. The replacement looked like new and had no issues.
Recently my wife broke the screen on said phone. So on 6/10 she ordered another iphone xs, condition was fair, from Back Market. When it arrived, i took pics of it and she immediately started a refund. The phone had a long scratch down the center of the screen. Fair states micro scratches, but most of this scratch (2 inches worth) was not micro and would catch your fingernail. $250 for a phone with a deep scratch that would surely leave an air bubble under a screen protector is unacceptable. Back Market reviewed the pics and tried to say the phone was in "fair" condition. That is not accurate since fair indicates micro scratches. Your fingernail will not get caught on a micro scratch. Just look at the pics i attached. Back Market used to have a "Stallone" rating that was less than "fair". This scratch might have landed it at or below a Stallone rating.
A day and a half later we finally got the RMA to sent back a phone that was bad enough that we didn't even bother turning it on. Then as my wife tried to order another phone and found that she had to wait to be able to use the military discount again. Even though the RMA was processed and shipped. Finally, 2 days after the returned phone was received, refund was issued. Then we requested a replacement military discount code. We got the code but it didnt work when trying to order. Was told it could take up to 48hrs for the code to be active. Now it is 6/24 (two weeks), wife is still dealing with her current cracked screen phone, waiting on the code to activate so she can again order a replacement phone.
I hope someone higher up at Back Market reads this to see how frustrating it is to order and receive a decent phone from them.
I just hope we don't have to go through this again with the phone she will order when the code finally activates.

I purchased a iphone 6s plus while the service from stock market was incredible there was an issue with the phone as it has the black screen of death and I couldn't fully enjoy it so once I send it back I will leave another review and see how that goes as an update

Anytime I need new tech I always look at Back Market first. I have purchased from them before and have always received top blotch customer service and amazing quality devices. This time I was looking to upgrade my phone but being a not so savvy tech person I was a tad bit anxious. I found a phone within my budget and a condition I could live with and made my purchase. A few short days later I received my phone. I knew by the website that it would have scratches n possibly dings on the phone but nothing mechanically wrong …. WELL to my surprise I honestly couldn't find Anything at all wrong with it. It looked like brand new! I purchased (good) condition and I'm flabergasted with its beautiful condition which only means to me their regards of good quality must be extreme. Looking at the condition of the phone knowing how much I actually paid I GOT ONE HECK OF A DEAL! You will too! These guys work really hard at selling excellent devices and I will forever be a loyal customer!Thank you again Back market! Money well spent!

I am a Senior and am on a budget. I needed a new smartphone. I researched, decided on the model I wanted then checked out Amazon. The price was higher than I wanted to pay. I checked out refurbished phones, and Amazon only offers a 3-month warranty. Luckily, BackMarket had phones listed on Amazon. I liked their prices, so I went directly to their website. Lo and behold-they offer a 12-month warranty. Even better, I fell in love with their product philosophy. "Like-new devices. Secondhand prices." Their electronics are not "refurbished-they are reborn." They vet their sellers to meet the highest standards. Their prices are great, shipping was fast, and my phone looks brand new. I will check back often to see what they have in other electronics. I am telling all my friends about my new phone and the great deal I got from Back Market. I highly recommend them.

I almost went with another company because Back Market looks too much like Black Market, but when I searched the other guys they were not BBB accredited. I looked up Back Market and they were! Thanks Back Market for saving me time and money.

I got an excellent phone (iPhone XR) at a reasonable price. It arrived on time and works perfectly. The purchase process was smooth and the company checked with me afterwards to make sure everything was satisfactory. I will definitely buy from them in the future.

I got a Nintendo switch OLED in good condition, and it arrived in perfect condition, as if it were brand new! The discount was around 15% off from brand new, which made it very worth it. The whole site runs extremely well, and I'll be ordering again!

IPad arrived with defaulted battery and home button. I purchased a device that was meant to be in excellent condition! So it was obviously not checked before it was sent to us. I thought I was unlucky and returned the device for repair as requested. Since then I get back and forth messages from an automatic message bot asking me for information and to delete all the data on my iphone, which apparently was linked to the iPad I'd purchased. I followed their instructions because this had been gone on for weeks now and I was reassured that the steps given would only delete the iPad from my devices. I ended up losing all the data on my iPhone. If you choose to purchase it from backmarket be prepared for the luck factor, I hope you're lucky.

I had an order and they messed up the delivery with usps 3 times due to insufficient address but had another order from usps with exact same address and had no issues. After the third time they stopped responding and I can't get a refund if they don't answer.

I had a previously positive experience buying on backmarket, but my recent experience forces a one star review. I bought a new phone, which turned up crusted with some sort of gunk, and a gummed up charger port. Obviously, their so called 'high standards' for sellers are truly not so high. Clearly no refurbishment had been carried out, so I raised a complaint with photos and dutifully followed the return process. I received confirmation of the item being shipped back and was told to expect a refund inside of 2 days. It has since been 8 days, and I have still received no refund. I escalated this with them, and they informed me it would be resolved within 24 hours on 13/06 however upon hearing from them again today, have been told to wait a further 2-5 days. They claim not to be responsible for the refund themselves and that the seller must do this, however as I bought through backmarket, it is them that should be refunding me, and seeking their own refund from the seller. Utterly appalling - in terms of the phone, the customer service process and refund process. Just don't do it to yourself.
