I have been ordering (to be shipped to drop site) for five months now. Two of those times they did not show up at the drop on the day it was scheduled. All the other three times they have been late. To this day, have not received more than half of what I order. And some items like Modesto Milling are $13 higher a bag than my tiny little feed store where I live.
Never receive any emails that the driver is late. Today we sat there for 2 hours and no one knew if or when the driver would show up. No emails from coordinator either. Finally someone called someone and we find out its arriving tomorrow instead.
Well folks, it takes me awhile to drive to the drop and costs me $12 round trip. And now I am supposed to go back tomorrow for a $36 order? Azure is a joke. You email them with a question and when they finally do answer, it isn't an honest answer... its PR talk.
And while I am at it. They drop the stuff at a vacant lot. If you can't get there for some reason, well guess what... when the driver leaves, someone is going to come along and take it. The coordinator should be there, and if something happens, the coordinator should take the stuff home. Its not like there is a lot of stuff delivered to our drop - it would all fit in a pickup truck. Nasty company, nasty way to run a business.

Azure had great products at reasonable prices. Their delivery is on time and reliable. Their customer service is some of the best in the industry. If you are looking for great prices and awesome customer service this is the place. As well as having a huge selection of the products you use everyday.

The products that I have actually received I have had no problem with but there is a glitch in their system - when you order something that is available and you even pay for the item it does not necessarily mean you will get it - it depends on what order your drop is not who was the 1st to order and pay for an item - my drop being almost last on the list ensures several items are always out of stock even tho they were in stock when I purchased them - did talk to customer service about this and she kindly told me how their failed system works - looking for another company that is actually fair.

Hi Kim. For customers who choose to order to one of the 2,900 community drops in the U.S., it is true that items may not be available by the time a drop order ships, however, we do not charge customers for orders until after the orders are packed and shipped. This ensures that a customer doesn't receive a charge for an item that we ran out of before the order shipped. Because we allow customers to order up to three months before their order ships, and the grocery items are perishable, items may go out of stock before it comes time to pack your order and ship it on the delivery truck to your drop. We encourage customers to check order on the day your order cutoff closes to see if anything has gone out of stock or if stock quantities have changed. Doing this provides customers with the opportunity to select an alternative item for an item that may no longer be in stock.

For customers who would like immediate delivery, rather than waiting for an order to be delivered via our community drop delivery system, we do have mail delivery options that pack and ship out within 24 hours of a placed order.

I've been a loyal Azure customer for over 5 years now. Finding high quality, affordable organic foods isn't easy, but buying direct from Azure saves on my grocery budget. Sometimes things happen, a few bad apples or a yogurt gets smashed in the box, but I don't worry about it. When I call Azure, the customer service people are so kind and quick to help. I even received a handwritten card from one of the customer service reps, which was really unexpected and sweet.

I once spent 15 minutes on the phone with customer service as they tracked down product details for me. They even started carrying a certain product after I requested it.

We adore Azure and I'm so happy we have a drop site in our community!

I have been buying from Azure for years and I really appreciate their integrety to vet their products to make sure they are what they say they are. They go the extra mile to go back to the farmer that raised it and also Supporting many small family businesses. I find the best products there!

I have been an Azure Standard customer for a number of years, and will remain one. That is not to say there has not been ongoing problems. The prices are good, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The inventory management is horrendous, so that, for me on average, AS is out of at least five items per order. This is a persistent complaint of others. They have gotten in the habit of asking customers to pony up to rectify that situation, and some do, but the problem is ongoing. They constantly add many new products, without maintaining inventory levels of others. The customer service is poor overall, and management is always unavailable and does not return calls. One would doubt AS's sincere commitment to the environment as they inundate their customers with unrequested, lengthy catalogs monthly (even if you ask them not to).

To make an order multiple times and not receive it is just a joke. One time our order was not even on the truck. I refuse to use this company any more. Terrible service.

Because customers can order 30 to 60 days in advance of an order shipping, products can go out of stock between the time the order is placed and the time the order is packed a week, two weeks, 30 days or 60 days later. Not sure why the bad reviews because everything about this company is great. I havent tried email customer service but have called phone customer service a few times and they were pleasant and helpful.
In regards to anyone who complained about product they do have a period of time for you to report problems. I doubt the viability of these reviews because they should and could have reported immediately in my opinion if something was wrong.
I do not work for this company, nor am I in any way affiliated with them. Just love the food!

I was looking for a product online. I came across this company. Despite some bad reviews on this site, I decided to place an order with them. I emailed them with a question regarding the expiration date on the item, the next day I received an email with the information I needed. So I placed an order and I received my items Within a few days while I was getting updates through UPS about my order.
I would definitely order from them again.

We ordered a product that has changed ingredients since our last order. We called to return the item and have received the run around. Azure has changed the product to include CANOLA OIL which is HIGHLY inflammatory. I was told by CUSTOMER SERVICE after waiting on hold that it would be DAYS before a shipping label could be created. HA- DAYS? What kind of operation is this? DAYS to return an item?

I placed an order over 2 weeks ago. I still have not received it. I have sent 3 emails and left 1 voice message and still have not received any reply from them. I do get the automatic email of " you will get a response in 24-48 hours", but its now been 10 days since my first email on my order.

I was hoping this would be a great place to buy organic in the future, but never again after this experience!

We used to shop here for years because of the great selection of organic foods, especially bulk quantities. They also have a truck drop that you can meet once a month so you don't have to pay shipping.

But their site constantly lets you order what they don't have. They send you the wrong items. They claim each drop location has to have $550 worth of orders for them to stop but sometimes they'll deliver anyway. You never know what will be on the truck and when the truck will be at the location until the day before it comes. Once we didn't find out until we called them that same day. The last time, the truck went to a location that hadn't been used in over a year, while I waited at the usual location. If you miss the truck or they send the wrong item, you have to call and explain 50 times. Then they make you wait a month for a refund or replacement.

Basically, they're super amateur and take customers for granted. We finally had enough and won't shop there again.

I products I purchased were fine but they discontinued BioKleen Products and mislead on $25 survey. After taking a survey where it states in the email, "We're improving our Azure Standard website experience and would love your opinion in exchange for a $25 promo code gesture of gratitude." After taking the survey, as I recall, you don't get $25 promo unless you spend $100 or more. I called Azure and their Customer Service was not receptive to the idea that it was misleading.

With delayed deliveries (weather, breakdowns and unreliable drivers)... frozen products that weren't supposed to be frozen... constant out of stock items. They charge around 8.5% of your order for delivery charge and if you don't order enough they charge an additional shipping charge. Recently they charged the wrong credit card and wanted to charge me $20 to reverse charge. I am done with this organization. I am a member of our local food coop and can get my organics at a discount. Azure... you should be more customer frfriendly

Poor quality
March 19, 2019

I have been buying from them for years now. People rave about it and so I keep buying from them... I buy bulk grains, lentils etc. and I have found them to be unclean. If you are buying it as livestock feed then it is fine - not for human consumption. This is with products that are labelled organic - e.g. unhulled buckwheat. I recently bought hulled buckwheat and it had lots of tiny black critters in it.

Hi Ab. We would love to assist you with your orders. Our SQF level 2 mill has very strict cleaning and processing standards, which is where our bulk products are packaged. If you would be willing to connect with us, we'd like to find out what may have been in your hulled buckwheat. At times, the grain can have Vetch in them, which is very small and black. Vetch is a cover crop used in organic farming and some may slip through filters during the cleaning process. Without seeing pictures, it would be difficult to know for sure. I had pretty much quit Azure because they couldn't ever fulfill more than half my order and they squeezed out our drop site. Then, when it became apparent that they couldn't manage their finances, they asked customers to step up with their 'customer supported inventory' idea. You can't manage your money so you want mine? However, there was one thing I really wanted and couldn't find anywhere else so I caved and ordered the product through the mail. It was a perishable item and I had to agree to not hold them responsible, which I did but I thought they'd mitigate that by mailing carefully. Nope. It gets to sit in the PO for the whole weekend. And they waited several days to ship, so it's not like they shipped right when I ordered it.

Like with everything, you have to check out the price/value ratio. There are items you better buy at Whole Foods or Costco. But they have a lot of excellent offers, especially in grains, flours and produce. Where do you get organic millet for 90c/pound ( in a 25 pound bag)?
With one exception; and I received refund, all merchandise has been excellent.
There is a bit of getting used to their drop system which needs improvement or the fact that you sometimes do not get things you ordered and which were available at the time. But overall- excellent and there is nothing comparable out there.
You can verify that I am a customer.

Simply the best..

The best source of organic produce and household goods I have ever come across! The produce is of excellent quality, and there is a large gluten free selection. The large selection of meat is hormone free and the beef is grass fed. I am constantly amazed at the large selection of goods, including non-food items that are environmentally safe. I love not having to drive into town and stand in long lines but I especially love knowing I am getting healthy food. I can't remember the last time I set foot in a Safeway...
