As others have stated, that rarely answer questions. They waste your time. I asked to simple questions about defamation.

Two attorneys answered our question so stupidly we could not believe our eyes. The third attorney, Mark Theodore Tischhauser, clearly wasted hundreds of dollars of his clients' billing time in bullying me with comment after lengthy, rude comment. I refused to be bullied. Four comments and three hours later, he will not stop. UNBELIEVABLE. In trying to get him to cease, Avvo Support deemed that he could do as he pleased as the site primarily is to let attorneys exhibit their "knowledge". Well, his comments are SO bad, I decided NOT to delete my account so that EVERYONE CAN SEE WHAT A TERRIBLE LAWYER AND DESPICABLE HUMAN THIS "attorney" is. Sincere hope that NO ONE WILL EVER use AVVO or this attorney EVER.

AVVO is not an Objective WEBSITE... I too have had much trouble in getting AVVO to approve ANY less than positive review from me of my former attorney. AVVO kept rejecting my reviews. Then they finally posted a revised review only after days of back and forth responses between them, me and a 3rd party investigative board... stating we're sorry our team made a mistake. Then almost instantly after my review was posted... they must of notified the attorney... The attorney was allowed to post a very FALSE and degrading of me, Response on the AVVO review I left.( He also called and texted me threats) I calmly submitted my response on the AVVO site, to this attorneys attack of me, pointing out all the inaccuracies and providing proof his statements were wrong, and again AVVO sent me rejections of my response! AVVO now states they DO not allow Reviewers to respond to Lawyers response! They allowed the attorney to post a response that was 3-4 times the length of my review... must of been 3000 words. Clients just cant win with these folks... very, very Biased in favor of its attorneys. I understand AVVO gets compensation from these attorneys that it gives biased Ratings/scores/reviews for. I don't understand why an Attorney General has not stepped in and fully Investigated this Clearly Biased company. AVVO has harmed so many people who use this site to make life changing decisions of what Lawyer to choose. I know first hand, I used their site to pick this attorney 2 years ago. He was rated 9.4( Outstanding) on their site, with 5 positive reviews( no negative), turned out to be one of the worst Lawyers ever!

Ive tried to leave a review that was negative and it was rejected. I asked why and was told i didnt make it clear that i was a client. It gives you a box to check, the options, client or consultation. I also stated several times that i was represented. My last review they said i was putting their clients in danger for releasing to much information. These people are morons and im reporting them for false advertising. Stay away

I asked a few questions about various government corruption and rights of poor people... then I tried to get police to kill me which is sad and ironic as I got off the GPS for dirty drug tests no dirty charges btw.(when I was on parole I'm off now) but. There response to my questions... (from a three day psych hold) I get on there website and I didnt put punuation, and still don't, lol but they all took. Cheap shots at me I mean all of them... I unloaded on them calling them public defenders and I said do you guys side with the government much? Ect. I just wanted to know if you can sue the government for failure to protect.ie police misconduct brutality civil rights. Ect not about your bad childhoods... and I never got my last question answered and my last come back which was... know any lawyer jokes?... becouse ill bet the government does. I hope there better now but honestly ill never know...

I questioned and messaged multiple lawyers from my area explaining my case. Some were rude, the answers very vague, some would not even answer at all. Others would contradict eachother, for example: I asked "Is a confession enough evidence"?... once said that "it wasn't enough". Another one said "a confession is enough evidence". And then it thought, WHICH ONE IS IT?

I would provide my case will all of the details possible, I genuenly noticed that they did even read the whole thing. Jumping to conclusions, with vague and VERY unclear answers.

Terrible service, I do not recommend to anyone seeking to be clarified like I was.

Oh and lets not skip the fact that they remove NEGATIVE REVIEWS! Terrible Site, stay away from it.

As a JD, I wrote a negative review for Kevin Limeaux, APC. They refused to post it, claiming, "it contained too much personal information and wasn't safe"! The case is a public record! This scam outfit AVVO has this grifter listed with ALL 5 stars! Clearly Avvo is not posting negative reviews and rejects negative reviews citing arbitrary rules that don't apply to posts!
Try leaving a negative review for an unsrupulous attorney listed on AVVO and see what happens. Draft after draft will be denied for vague undefined violations. Attorneys cited by the CalBar Assoc. Can easily contest complaints and win! Positive client reviews have no point of reference to how they are vetted and most often wreak of bots and family members. Gary Langlais is an attorney for CSC Service Works, Inc. He is illegally practicing law and was cited by CalBar Assoc. As such. Yet AVVO refuses to let a negative review of his conduct be posted. Further Pablo C. Palomino, another unscrupulous CA attorney is hosting hate cites targeting protected classes, again noticed and acknowledged by CalBar Assoc. And is documented scrubbing comments that contradict his homophobic hate speech. AVVO refuses to host the negative review.

I always wonder why we cannot put 0 stars.
That website AVVO just protects lawyers and AVVO pretends to accept negative reviews but it is a lie.
As soon as you want to post a legitimate review they refuse by their continuous saying "you do not follow the guideline". Even if we do! So we realized that website is in fact made by Lawyers.
All the time, they attract clients by saying JUST UNDER THE NAME OF THE LAWYER, FREE CONSULTATION and when you call, they do not want to speak to you unless you pay, I call that false advertisement!
