Charged the card and did not deliver. After 15 minutes on the phone and follow ups, no delivery. It wasn't till after 7 that I realized the delivery wasn't happening. By than to late to order elsewhere.
I spent $95.00 on flowers, a balloon and card to be delivered Monday, April 27. The flowers arrived but no balloon or card (the card is standard... the balloon I paid extra for which never got delivered). I called the same day to complain, however phone lines so busy the automated phone system said I would receive a call back same day between 5-5:30pm... it's now 11pm and I'm still waiting for that call... I'll never order from them again. Don't recommend.
All said and done, after i put my credit card information, they hit me with a $19.95 service charge. Glad i saw it and not rushed to place the order.
My experience is almost identical to most of these reviews. Ordered same day delivery, received a notification that ordered arrived but there was NOTHING. Still have not been able to speak to a live person. Run around automated system. I received generic emails in response to the claim I filed on their website. WOW WOW WOW HORRIBLE SCAM.
On April 7,2020 I ordered 4 different arrangements to be delivered to 4 important people in my life for Easter. The first three deliveries went fine and the recipients were happy with their arrangements. The photos I received showed nice arrangments and pretty close to what was on the website. All were to be delivered on April 9,2020. My sister in SC did not receive her order and I began calling Avas. It was extremely difficult to get a human to talk to. The first time I opted to get a call back instead of being on hold. When the call came I answered and pressed the keypad number corresponding to my issued and was immediately disconnected! I tried several more times to call and finally got a customer rep and she said she would have to contact the designer and put me on hold. There was no response from the designer and I was told that as soon as they reached the designer I'd get a callback. Nope... never happened. I sent two emails for which I have never received a response. I began the same run around on April 9th, only to be told once again that they had to contact the designer who was not responding. At that point, I asked to cancel the order and told her I would not use them again with my floral needs.! The young woman told me they could not cancel the order guess why... because they couldn't reach the designer! I asked for a partial refund... no can do, but "we can give you a $20 credit." And how would this be good since I just told her I would never order from them again? The recipient finally got her flowers late this afternoon and sent me a picture. I know there is a substitution policy, which I completely understand, but the arrangement was not anything like what I ordered. It was a cheap-looking arrangement with no effort whatsoever put into it. I am thoroughly disgusted with what was sent. I paid a good price for this arrangement and I could have easily called directly to a florist in SC. The arrangement was very generic not a good representation of an Easter arrangement at all. I ordered the Spring centerpiece with no candle and the right side photo was what was sent.
This business sadly doesn't care about its reputation... that says it all. Should've checked reviews online first. Better Business Bureau rating is an F. Please read it's Pattern of Complaint and Alert on the BBB site; this will say it all. In my case, they sent a vase with about 6 tulips out the door to my mother without even any greens! Nothing in the vase to even support the tulips that can't obviously support themselves. When I sent a photo of what it looked like, they were apparently not OK with how it looked, but stated that the discount of 10% that they could give me should be considered a refund. They're frauds. Shameful!
I am so embarrassed that I didn't realize that this is FTD-like set-up until after I'd placed the order.
Don't try to follow-up on a delivery time; there isn't one - only 'scheduled for delivery today.'
The name on the card will be misspelled.
Your email address will be mistyped.
The arrangement, naturally, is 50% of the picture.
The first photo is what I ordered; the second what showed up.
I could 'kick myself' for falling for this.
Upgraded order to include "vase". Supposed to be beautiful pastels with Rose's. What did she get? A squat square dish garden style small container with 12 short tulips and 2 Rose's. All cut very short. Very sparse and straggly. Do not waste your money at Avas.
This is a fraudulent company. They stole my $90 on Saturday did "same day delivery". It is 4 days later and still no product. Customer service says they'll get back to me via email within 8 business days.
I placed there order to be delivered on a birthday. They did not arrive as promised, so my niece did not have a gift from me. We live far apart and this was very disappointing
I ordered flowers online for a friend in another state. I Paid 74 dollars for flowers and service charge. They arrived 3 days later even though they were suppose to be delivered the next day. When I was sent a picture from my friend, I was embarrassed. They looked to be worth $20. Much smaller, cheaper flowers and nothing like I ordered. I tried emailing and got no response. Stay away from this place. They are processed out of state and delivered via UPS. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
Never again, never again, never again, never again, never again, never again, never again, never again, never again, never again, never again, never again, never again, never again, never again
Stay so far away from this company! Sent flowers to Florida from BC Canada. Never received receipt, once received picture was not what I ordered. Called 7 times for resolve, constantly getting the run around saying that my emails have not been received. Overpriced as well for what I ordered. Was supposed to be 6 pink roses in a square cube vase... simple. Received 5 red roses in a vase. I should have checked the reviews first. I have never dealt with a company like this ever.
Ordered a snack basket and a spray for a visitation/funeral. As it was several states away from me, I Googled for a local florist. Avas came up as a hometown florist. Only because it was alphabetical. Website looks genuine. They called me 24 hours AFTER it was supposed to be delivered and said they could not arrange it with their contacts. I am livid. Supposedly I will get a refund. Do not use them, think it is a total scam. They have had my money for 10 days! 10 more days to "process" refund!
I ordered flowers for the calling hours of a close colleague, "guaranteed" by 2 PM Friday the 28th. A call to me 2/29, informing me they wouldn't get there till 3/2, the day after the funeral. Unacceptable.
I ordered 3 dozen long stem roses, a card and balloons for my wife on Valentines Day. They actually attempted to delivery at 9pm when the site says it was delivered at 6pm plus they reduced my order to a skimpy dozen short stem with no card and no balloons. I rejected the order and immediately attempted to contacted customer service for a refund. No big surprise, customer service doesn't exist and its all automated where you get no where but dead ends. They'll take your money and you'll never hear from them again!.
The flowers were sent to me for Valentine's day. They cost 100.00 after the hidden fees and were dead when I received them... STAY AWAY!
Do not use AVAS Flowers.net! Web site said same day delivery, but that did not happen. There fine print says they can deliver up to four days late. Do not use them, they take your money before your get the flowers...
Extremely dissatisfied with this company. I placed an order for 4 diff sets for flowers for my adult daughters (out of town) late for Valentine's Day I certainly understood it my order was late in the game (on 2/13) but this site was the one the "guaranteed" they would get deliveries made on Valentine's Day. Indeed, the ONLY reason I ordered from them and paid their premium price (compared to others) was the ability to get them timely delivered. Not one of the them was delivered on time. In fact, one of them that their own site still says was to be delivered yesterday still has not been delivered. I don't really care about the store credit they offered on only 1 order (They won't be frying my business again) and the fact that 3 of the 4 were delivered late (today), I'm upset that they even suggested they could timely deliver when that obviously was totally false. The other sites I considered today me they couldn't promise delivery and that's the whole reason I bought these items. The reason the day was a big deal to me is that I wanted to provide my adult daughters with valentines flowers because their older sister had died in the last year and when they were all kids, I used to do valentines flowers every year for all of them. Shame on this company. They misrepresent and don't live up to their word.
Learn from my mistake in ordering from this company. Don't do it.
Called to order Valentine's Day flowers on the morning of the 13th. Girl taking my order said the flowers would absolutely be delivered on Valentine's Day. Got an email that said the flowers would be delivered on the 18th. If you try to cancel your order you only get dead ends. A complete scam.
Answer: It's a scam. Very dishonest company. They advertise with a very detailed picture of their flowers, sizes and pricing. When my daughterv received these flowers they didn't look anything like the picture online. I wish I could attach a photo from my galleria for you to see. The picture tells the true story
Answer: I thought they were a local florist. Bc when I typed in the city and Avas Flowers popped up. They are NOT a local company and they are NOT a florist company per se. The Real business name is Flowers Tech Center, Inc... doing business as Avas flowers. They are out of New Jersey and they contracted florists in your local areas nationwide. They don't make the bouquets and the ones on the website are nowhere near to what you're getting. Which is CRAP! LEFTOVER flowers thrown together LAST minute and supposedly delivered fresh from their warehouse. FRAUD & SCAMMERS! Use your local florists or buy them from your grocery store which would be much better and NOT costly. Save yourself time, money and headaches from rude customer service reps and all you get is the run around and lies.
Answer: Phone tree hell. Very lengthy messages that you have to listen to in order to get the prompts.
