They have unscrupulous business practices, pushy salesmen, and they allow fraud to happen. I asked Direct Tv to come out and repair my service and an AT@T rep floated in the door right with him. He proceeded to badger and pressure me to upgrade my services and switch my cell phone service to them. My husband needed my attention, as he was sick, and the sales rep wouldn't leave. Very unprofessional. Another incident, I get an email from AT@T telling me my new iPhone was ready. I called the store and warned them there was fraud going on. They ended up allowing the lady to get the phone. She used my email. My sons address and his last name and social security number. We had to involve the police. He store said….ooops. You aren't getting my business.

AT&T must be the Company from Hell. AVOID this Company if you have any other choice.

They slam you with outrageous price increases and make contacting them a complete misery.

Want to wait 40 minutes to an HOUR or more on Hold, and being bounced around and disconnected and told to call another number? AT&T is the Company for you then.

ATT sucks
August 15, 2023

I have been an ATT customer for appx 2 weeks. It is only because its the only one available. I have had to call India for service and it is just AWFUL.

First, they speak so fast and garbled I cannot understand anything they say to me. The accent is not pleasant or understandable.
They all read from scripts and do not stop when you have a question. They just keep reading.
I have an email issue and it hasnt been resolved yet. Nor do I expect it to be.
ATT is just too $#*!ing big. I am lost now.
I will have to move again just to get the proper service and support.

For being so big, this company is a joke.

I can't tell you how many perks and benefits were promised if I switched over to AT&T. There was a ginormous list of them, and when we did it, the service technician showed up after a couple of months of waiting (due to some mysterious technical issues that they wouldn't describe to me) with a salesperson who proceeded to pitch a whole bunch of stuff that we didn't want over the next few hours. It was a goofy pitch, complete with a faux call to his "boss" over the speaker phone to ask about the current special deals so that the "boss" could be like "Oh! Wow! What an amazing benefit! I've never seen it so good before! How are we even making money from this deal? You'd have to hate money if you didn't hop on this deal this flaming second!" It was incredibly uncomfortable and awkward, and I almost decided to cancel having the internet installed as a result. At one point, the salesperson asked about benefits that I was promised when I talked to the original sales reps, and I told him about the benefits of the first couple months free, and that they would buy me out of my contract with XFinity, and a great bundle if we switch our mobile providers as well. I even gave him the store location and names of the reps I talked to. After I informed him of this, he said that he wanted me to find the email they sent me with a list of these benefits, and I couldn't find the email, which means they wouldn't honor those benefits because I didn't get it in writing. Instead, I got a stupid $50 AT&T card that I have to order online, and it's a "benefit" that I couldn't care less about. I already have too many cards in my wallet, and it's not worth the lousy $50 to get yet another to be forever lost in the black hole that is my wallet. It was a pretty bad experience, and I have to say that I'm regretting my decision. The internet is meh so far, despite it being fiber. I haven't really noticed much of a change in download speeds, but I did notice a bunch of hitches in connectivity that I never had with XFinity, especially when it comes to streaming media like YouTube and Netflix. Nothing is worse than changing internet to something that is supposedly faster and then getting the dreaded buffering screen for minutes on end before it plays a couple of seconds and then returns to buffering. On the first day that it was installed, the internet died completely, and we had to call the technician out again to install a new modem and run a fiber line all the way up to the house. That restored the internet, but I'm still not that impressed with the connection stability. For reference, I work in the tech field, so I know how to do a lot of troubleshooting with the internet connection on my own, but the problem appears to be on AT&T's end, not mine. I'm about ready to go back to to XFinity if this is what the experience is going to be like. It's such a shame that my first fiber experience was tainted with a crappy company like this one. AT&T, do better.

Waste of time
August 15, 2023

AT&T is a terrible company to deal with. Run to any of their competitors because it HAS to be better than AT&T.
Agents tell half-truths to get you signed up for services you don't want and then take forever to implement them. Nothing is what it seems.
I wish I could give negative stars.

Also... stay far away from Office AT Hand. I heard that if you sign that contract that it's impossible to get out of it... and Office at Hand is terrible! Don't use it.

Payment arrangements
August 14, 2023

I paid my July bill today 8/21/23 which was scheduled for a payment arrangement on the 8/22/23. I told if I pay my July bill that my phone will be turned back on. Keep in mind that I made the arrangements to pay on the 22nd of August and they turned it off on the 14th of August. And I made a payment arrangement for my August bill on 8/14/23 two days before it was due to pay to be paid on 9/21/23. They still refuse to turn my service back on. So be careful when set a payment arrangement up make sure and repeat everything they say and record everything they say so they can not go back on their word. I will not give them any stars. You can't submit without giving at least one star. The supervisor is no help either they will just hang up on you.

The AT&T technician was supposed to come today from noon to 4h00 PM. He never arrived.
He called me in the morning twice for having an opening and I declined not to change the appointment changed for earlier. We agreed for 4h00 PM. He never showed up and I was on the phone glued from 3h30 PM to 6h00 PM with different supervisors all promised that he will still come today. Ruined my day! Now is scheduled for tomorrow same time. $#*!!
All my complex moved with Comcast. Both belong to the same category of $#*!.

ATT screw me up! I have to use ATT wifi because my apt corporate with them, once I applied my WiFi, this sale lady recommended me to switch my phone carrier to ATT as well, everything sounds fantastic from that lady's AD. Okay! I decided to switch and it's my nightmare got started. Phone server was not working for 3 days and ATT couldn't fix it so I decided to move back to my previous carrier. This 3 days ATT charged me $110. I called and explained the situation, they told me, okay they will remove the bill for me. However they sent this $110 to debit corrector to $#*! yo my history web credit score. I called at least 5+ times, went to retails store 5+ times and even sent email to CEO. No responds. What a scam, I haven't never been treated or sent bill to debit corrector in my life. I hope someone in ATT can see my review and help me to solve the issue

So I have had an AT&T account for about 4 years had it shut off continued to get bills a month later after paying my final bill. Realize there are other people's bills going on to my email account at att.com... I called and tried to get them to send my refund to the card that I had asked them to previously make my debit card on the account and they didn't. I have to wait a full another month for my refund though I haven't had service for over a month now so we can come in the mail on a prepaid card though I had a card it could have been put on just the card that they never changed was stolen that's why I know I changed it. I've been lied to by every customer service agent I had talked to. And they're supervisors literally have nothing that they can do more than what their normal customer service workers can do. They look at the same exact screens just one person gets paid more than the other. They have overcharged me for 4 years for internet and/or mobile phone. I feel like they can compensate for what they waste of people's times on the phone to just get them to try to buy more service. Don't go here ever go without or go to the library for your internet before going to AT&T they are never going to be worth it. They do not care about actual customer service anywhere in the top portions of the company. Enough is enough be held liable. I will never go back and I hope anybody who ever reads this never goes through them it's not worth it they will steal your money. They will mess with your credit. These are not assumptions. This is truth and what I'm going through right now. My service has been shut off for more than a month and I just got a bill for active internet that is not accountable to my name they have a different passcode a different security question and nobody can remove it from my account. Stay away from this devil company. They are taking advantage of everybody and anybody they can let's stop the vicious cycle and stop AT&T from being able to do this to people. Boycott AT&T and boycott the whole company not just internet or phones but the whole thing every bit of it even their access. God bless you I hope people really understand this is happening and stop them from being able to do this to people. We have rights and they just took mine from me to my account

Worst service. Will steer you wrong, and when you go to switch they will continue charging you and say "you have to call in to cancel" and charge you for additional months even after the store you went to tells you you're all set.

Horrible company to deal with did a trade and never apply for my credits after fighting for over 8 months they offer a half credit because the phones were received outside the promotion when clearly I had been dealing with the issue all this time and been in touch with them now they said is a post office issue. Someone who needs it most, a single person or a retiree. AT&T charges outrageously high prices for individual uses, retirees included, in order to support the very low, fair & competitive prices they offer plans of 2 users or more.

Even if you make it to 55, the discount the apply is awful.

Calling the number on the bill for my deceased father's line and was told they couldn't find the account. Thus, they were unable to cancel it. A case was created and I was told to bring in death certificate to a store. Thank goodness for Michael Kakos, assistant store manager at 23 Mile Road location. When I arrived at the store with the death certificate, he called and was given the same run around. However, he was able to finally get the account cancelled. Thank you Michael for providing excellent customer service! Unfortunately, I will never do business with AT &T because of the challenge to cancel a deceased individual's account.
